Jean-Claude Van Damme is going to the Congo but not to hunt the Gray Gorillas. The mega-pliable action star is joining the cast of Silent Kill, an upcoming action film directed and written by Anthony Hickox. According to Deadline, Silent Kill follows four mercenaries searching the Congo for hidden treasure. After finding the goods, the group buries the treasure and agrees to return three years later to split the winnings. As you can imagine, the plan goes awry.
Former NFL star Vernon Davis, Rafael Amaya, and Madalina Anea star alongside Van Damme, who also produces with Joram Moreka. Andrea Iervolino, Monika Bacardi, Ovidiu Toma, and Bradly Gentz produce.

Exclusive: Action icon Jean-Claude Van Damme (Kickboxer) is set to star in action feature Silent Kill, which Iervolino & Lady Bacardi Entertainment will be introducing to buyers at this week’s American Film Market.
Anthony Hickox (Hellraiser III) wrote the screenplay and will direct the film, which will follow four mercenaries who find a hidden treasure in the Congo. They bury it and agree to meet back at the same spot in three years and split the fortune evenly, but things take a different turn.
Starring alongside Van Damme will be NFL star-turned-actor Vernon Davis (Gasoline Alley), Rafael Amaya (The Lord of Skies) and Madalina Anea (Watcher).

The Exchange, handling the international sales rights, is introducing the title to buyers at next week’s American Film Market in Santa Monica, CA.
The film, written by John Chase, will be directed by Pauline Chan (“33 Postcards”), and produced by Landafar Entertainment’s Grant Cramer, Volition Media’s Cindy Bru and Adam Beasley, and Wild Lunch Entertainment’s Joram Moreka. Executive producers include Ford Corbett, Michael Jefferson, Len Gibson and Wayne Overstreet.
Cinematographer Toby Oliver (“Get Out”), who previously worked with Chan and Pearce on “33 Postcards,” will be behind the lens.
Against a backdrop of politics and corruption, “Neponset Circle” follows a brilliant but disgraced detective Jimmy O’Mannon, fresh out of prison and trying to rebuild his life.
