This article contains spoilers for all of The Blacklist.
All good things must end. Whether all good things must end well is another matter entirely. The series finale of The Blacklist was rated poorly on IMDb and fans united in assessing it as one of the worst endings to ever close out a series’ run, especially a run as unique and longstanding as The Blacklist’s: 10 years and 218 episodes, an achievement largely unmatched in today’s TV landscape.
That ending of The Blacklist had to be a joke.
May go down as the worst Finale of all time. Literally tied up Zero loose ends. The entire show was rendered pointless. pic.twitter.com/00MoyhY25L

This is Day 83 of the SAG-AFTRA strike.
The language was salty but the mood was upbeat at a union rally in Midtown Manhattan by striking actors and their supporters from the 150,000-member Transportation Workers Union.
With talks between the actors union and the production studios paused until Wednesday, the crowd at SAG-AFTRA’s solidarity picket with the Twu filled two lanes of the street outside NBCUniversal headquarters and made a sometimes Nsfw din that could be heard for blocks.
Oscar-winning actor F. Murray Abraham, one of the rally speakers, dropped an F-bomb in remarks calling for all working Americans to receive a livable wage and health care. “And since our corrupt Congress won’t give that to us, we got a f*ckin’ union,” he said to cheers.
But it was Twu chief John Samuelson who really let fly, railing at “p*ick bosses” in a pugilistic speech that...

Spoiler Alert: This story contains plot points from the final two episodes of The Blacklist.
The Blacklist ended its 10-season run on NBC Thursday with James Spader’s Raymond Reddington successfully eluding the authorities for good.
Before the decision was made to end the Sony drama earlier this year, The Blacklist was a reliable utility player and performer for the network, despite having occupied 10 different time slots over its 10 seasons. It also underwent a major transition after Season 8 when both its female lead Megan Boone and creator Jon Bokenkamp departed. But the fans stuck around; Season 9 reached 29.1M viewers, more than doubling its rating in the 18-49 demographic and its total audience in Live+35 vs. same-day data.
Season 10 kicked off in March with Reddington confronting “unparalleled danger” because former Blacklisters were uniting against him in a lethal desire for revenge. The two-hour series finale began with Reddington on the lam,...

In a sign of a new current of energy infusing Hollywood labor, hundreds of A-list actors sent a bombshell letter to their union leaders Tuesday calling on them to make a “transformative” deal with studios and streamers and expressing their resolve to strike if such a compromise wasn’t reached.
The likes of Meryl Streep, Jennifer Lawrence and Julia Louis-Dreyfus signed the message in advance of the expiration of their union SAG-AFTRA’s current TV and film contracts Friday night. And after the letter was read by union negotiators and leaders, hundreds more signed on, including apparently Rooney Mara, Joaquin Phoenix and Amanda Seyfried — currently, the letter appears to have over 2,000 signatories, though in the Google Doc copy The Hollywood Reporter has seen, header language cautions that volunteers are in the process of verifying signatures.

James Spader has been the heart and soul of The Blacklist since the beginning, and it doesn’t surprise him that the show has lasted this long. “When I first read the pilot, I said, ‘I can see the next 10 years.’ But the getting there is complicated,” Spader said during an NBC sneak peek video.

A decade later, NBC's "The Blacklist" continues to rally audiences behind the morally gray antics of a criminal mastermind. The drama series stars James Spader as Raymond "Red" Reddington, a government agent-turned-fugitive that assists the FBI and profiler Elizabeth Keen (Megan Boone) in crossing off the names on his titular list of criminals. No stranger to the TV world, Spader's inspired performance as Reddington is a consistent highlight of the series on a weekly basis. It's safe to say that the series heavily relies on him, especially now more than ever with the absence of Elizabeth Keen. However, he is an even more important part of "The Blacklist" than previously imagined.

After almost a decade on the air, NBC's "The Blacklist" is still going strong. Despite the fact longtime co-star Megan Boone exited the series in 2021, the series is set to return for season 10 in 2023. James Spader continues to bring life into "The Blacklist" with his acting as Raymond Reddington, and not even that weird live-action/animation hybrid episode that aired near the start of the pandemic could bury the show. Nevertheless, the combination of Boone's Elizabeth Keen and Spader's criminal mastermind always made for quality television. The biggest role in Boone's career thus far, the task was almost too big to handle before she got some much-needed advice from her colleague.
"The Blacklist" is best known for Spader's eccentric and memorable performance, but Boone was always a vital part of the series prior to her departure. Elizabeth Keen's perspective typically grounded the very morally gray activities Reddington was involved in,...

Following in the footsteps of shows like "The X-Files" or "Twin Peaks," "The Blacklist" offers far more questions than answers. Frequently, it leads viewers down a garden path filled with red herrings. One such road involves the ever-mysterious identity of Red (James Spader).
For years, viewers suspected that Red was Liz Keen's (Megan Boone) father, which would explain his preoccupation with the young FBI agent. However, that fan theory was blown to pieces as the series progressed. Since then, Red said he is the Kgb agent Ilya Koslov. But that was also a lie. Fans still don't know who he is or what Red's endgame is, but they're desperate to find out.
