- Born and raised in the greater Los Angeles area, Scott Clifton gained interest in acting at a very young age: he was just 9 years old when his mother gave him a copy of Shakespeare's "Hamlet" and introduced him to a friend who was an actor. At age 16, Clifton appeared in commercials and scored his first professional acting jobs. He guest starred on such TV shows as Roswell (1999) and Judging Amy (1999) and landed parts in some rather lackluster movies. Clifton's big break came in 2003 when he auditioned for the soap opera General Hospital (1963). He didn't get the part but was soon called back in to take over the role of Dillon Quartermaine. Originally designated as a guest role, he was quickly signed to contract when he won over audiences and critics alike with his quirky charm, yet also holding his own in dramatic scenes opposite his on-screen mother Tracy played by Jane Elliot. Following three consecutive Daytime Emmy Award nominations as Outstanding Younger Actor, Clifton decided to leave Port Charles in 2007. He returned to daytime television in 2009 as the mysterious Schuyler Joplin on One Life to Live (1968), garnering another Emmy nomination. Being let go roughly one year later, it wasn't before long before Clifton was signed up by The Bold and the Beautiful (1987) to play Liam Cooper aka. William Spencer III, offspring to the growing Spencer dynasty led by Don Diamont's Bill Spencer. Following his debut in 2010, Clifton has been front and center ever since; constantly being involved in the show's most prestigious love triangles. He has been awarded with two Daytime Emmy Awards for his role: as Younger Actor in 2011 as well as Supporting Actor in 2013. Clifton is also a singer, guitarist, and songwriter. In an initial bid to launch his musical career, he uploaded several songs to the Internet, and later compiled these songs among previously unpublished material on his first of now several albums called "Untitled". Clifton has been married to his longtime girlfriend Nicole Lampson since October 20, 2012.- IMDb Mini Biography By: Torsten B. Tomaschek
