Eric Brown was born in Grand Rapids, MI and knew that the entertainment
field was his chosen career path (or "controlled descent into insanity"
as he likes to call it).
After seeing the movie Alien by director Ridley Scott as a child, Eric was so taken with the movie that instead of being terrified of it, (as he should have been at that age) he was transfixed and amazed at the mastery of that early Scott film.
Eric moved from Grand Rapids in the early 90's to Culver City, California "The Heart of Screenland" and within several months landed his first gig in the industry as a model maker and concept artist at an FX shop in the San Fernando Valley.
In the years to follow, Eric worked on a number of big budget feature films such as Titanic, Air Force One and Alien Resurrection as both model maker and illustrator. After working in Hawaii as a concept artist on the ground breaking CGI movie "Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within", one of Eric's fellow crew members, an animation professional from Los Angeles, introduced Eric to the world of animation upon his return to LA. Eric was immediately hooked and has been working professionally in this area of the entertainment field for the past several years.
Live action is in his blood, however, and as a result, Eric completed two shorts. One of which, "The Mourner" went on to compete as a finalist in the SIFF sponsored Science Fiction Film Festival in Seattle, Washington.
