The reboot, titled “Heroes: Eclipsed,” is set years after the events of the original superhero series, as new evolved humans are discovering their powers. Kring is executive producing “Heroes: Eclipsed” with his manager, Mosaic’s Jordan Cerf. Casting has yet to be announced.
“Heroes” ran for four seasons on NBC from 2006 to 2010, and starred Hayden Panettiere, Jack Coleman, Milo Ventimiglia, Masi Oka, Zachary Quinto, Sendhil Ramamurthy, Ali Larter, Adrian Pasdar and Greg Grunberg. Kring then worked on the 2015 limited series “Heroes Reborn,” with Coleman reprising his role as Noah Bennet. Zachary Levi, Robbie Kay, Kiki Sukezane, Ryan Guzman, Rya Kihlstedt and Judith Shekoni also starred in “Heroes Reborn.”
Back in 2015, while promoting “Reborn,” Kring teased the possibility of developing more storylines in the “Heroes” universe following the 13-episode event series.

When Big Sky Season 3 gets underway at ABC, a fan favorite will be M.I.A.
TV Line reports that Omar Metwally will not be back as a series regular.
Series showrunner Elwood Reid told the outlet that the actor approached the showrunner about working on a play.
“I didn’t know if we were coming back. I didn’t know when we would come back.”
However, production on Big Sky Season 3 started much earlier than usual, meaning that Metwally was already attacked to Epiphany at Lincoln Center Theater in New York City.
As a result, Big Sky Season 3 proceeded without Mark Lindor, but there's hope he could resurface down the line.
The showrunner confirmed that Lindor will not be a part of the first batch of episodes, but noted that he's "not dead, not gone" and that "he may show up."
As previously reported, Big Sky Season 3 will feature a new case.

The mysteries of Big Sky will continue at ABC, which has renewed the David E. Kelly series for season three.
The series stars Kylie Bunbury and Katheryn Winnick.
Jensen Ackles, who guest starred in the season two finale, joins the cast as a series regular in season three. The Supernatural star plays Beau Arlen, a confident and charming good ol’ boy from Texas who steps in as temporary Sheriff (and Jenny Hoyt’s new boss) as a favor to his friend Sheriff Tubb. Ackles, Deadline understands, is on a one-year deal.

Spoiler Alert: The following story contains details from the Season 2 premiere of ABC’s Big Sky.
A couple of major twists and compelling new mysteries presented themselves in Big Sky‘s Season 2 opener, which saw John Carroll Lynch return from beyond the TV grave. In an interview with Deadline, the SAG Award winner confirmed the identity of his new character and teased his storyline.
As the episode titled “Wakey, Wakey” opens, the primary antagonist of Season 1, sex trafficking trucker Ronald (Brian Geraghty), is on the lam. Private detective Jenny (Katheryn Winnick) is still recovering from the gunshot wound inflicted during his escape, and like her colleague Cassie (Kylie Bunbury), remains intent on taking him down. While Cassie distracts herself with work at Dewell & Hoyt, hoping for a clue that will bring her to Ronald, Cassie visits Sheriff Tubb (Patrick Gallagher) to inform him that she wants to rejoin the force.

Big Sky Season 2 will feature the familiar face of a dead character.
During the ABC drama's panel at the Television Critics Association summer press tour, it was revealed that John Carroll Lynch had closed a deal to return for the new episodes.
If you watch Big Sky online, you know the villainous Montana state trooper Rick Legarski was killed around the midway point of Big Sky Season 1.
Legarski was a villain, who was heavily involved in the mystery throughout the opening season, but how can the actor return if the character is dead?
Well, Legarski was revealed to have a twin on the freshman season, so it's possible we will be meeting his brother.
Either that or Legarski evaded the hospital and was replaced by his brother or something. This being Big Sky, there's truly no telling what's around the corner.

Right in the middle of Big Sky‘s panel at TCA on Thursday, actor John Carroll Lynch popped up on the screen, to announce that he will be returning for Season 2.
Details on his return are being kept under wraps. The character Lynch played in Season 1 was sex trafficking Montana state trooper Rick Legarski, who was shot in the head in the Season 1 finale. Even if he’s dead though, showrunner and executive producer Elwood Reid noted during the panel that Legarski has a twin, as alluded to in the first season.
Reid also confirmed that this season’s “new baddie, who is going to bring in more baddies,” is Ren, the character played by new series regular Janina Gavankar.
Another addition to the cast coming in to shake things up is Logan Marshall-Green’s Travis, a man from Jenny (Katheryn Winnick)’s past, who was friends with her and...

The remaining members of the Kleinsasser family will be a distant memory when Big Sky Season 2 begins on ABC next month.
According to TV Line, Britt Robertson, who played Cheyenne Kleinsasser, and Michelle Forbes, who portrayed Kleinsasser matriarch Margaret, will not be a part of the cast.
The Kleinsasser storyline kicked off during the second half of Big Sky Season 1, and while it didn't pack the wallop the first mystery did, the family made for compelling TV.
Simply put, they were probably the worst family on TV, with each member trying to outmaneuver the other. It was tiring, and by the time the season was over, only two of them remained.
But that's not to say the door was left open for them to come back in any capacity. Cheyenne and Margaret's arcs had pretty much concluded, leaving little room for them to return.

ABC's Big Sky was a surprise hit during its first season.
The mystery drama had an expansive cast, and many of them will be returning for Big Sky Season 2.
TV Line is reporting that Omar Metwally, who recurred as Mark Lindor, will be back as a full-fledged series regular.
The news is hardly surprising.
If you watch Big Sky online, you know Mark's presence was rising during the final episodes of Big Sky Season 1.
More Mark is a good thing, but what about the rest of the cast?
Jenny (Katheryn Winnick) was shot at the end of the first season, throwing her future into question.
But the show is built on the connection between Jenny and Cassie (Kylie Bunbury), so it's hard to imagine Jenny not surviving.
Bunbury will also be back. Cassie is ready to finally take down Ronald, who has managed to evade capture at every turn.

The vaccine-mandatory world premiere of Dave Chappelle: This Time This Place reopened Radio City Music Hall Saturday night for the first time since Covid hit.
“I’m so sorry if you lost someone, or lost something during this pandemic,” Chappelle said, taking the stage when the film ended.
“We did what we could,” he said.
One thing he could was a series of comedy shows in a neighbor’s cornfield that drew his friends and colleagues – from Jon Stewart, Chris Rock, Kevin Hart and Trevor Noah — and fans to the town he calls home, Yellow Springs, Ohio.
The closing night film of the Tribeca Festival was directed by Julia Reichert and Steven Bognar, Chappelle’s neighbors, who won an Oscar for American Factory. “I literally knocked on their door,” Chappelle said.
“He’s a neighbor. We see him in the grocery store. He said, ‘I’m going to try something.

Big Sky is not messing around.

Big Sky made a big return from its hiatus Tuesday, offering up two back-to-back episodes that introduced us to a whole bunch of new faces — a lot of ’em perhaps not on the up-and-up. And Ronald is still on the lam, three months after the events of the previous episode. So let’s not waste any more time: Here’s what went down in “Catastrophic Thinking” and “All Kinds of Snakes.”
The Skills That Pay The Bills | In the time since Legarski died and Ronald got away, Cassie and Jenny have been working mostly domestic cases — cheating husbands and the like.

Big Sky's return is less than two weeks away, and we have some great news for fans:
The midseason premiere will span two hours and will introduce fans to a killer new mystery that is sure to up the stakes like never before.
"Three months after Ronald’s escape, Cassie and Jenny have officially partnered up to take down a fresh slew of troublemakers, but all isn’t coming up roses; Ronald is still on the loose, a domestic case takes a macabre and deadly turn, and a U.S. Marshall is sticking his nose in their case files," reads the network's description for the event.
Right as the women of Dewell & Hoyt seem to be getting used to the new normal, Jenny gets an alarming call from an old flame; leading her and Cassie headfirst into a new case, a new jurisdiction and a whole lot of new trouble.

One of the buzziest new shows is going dark for the next two months.
ABC's Big Sky, which mostly wrapped up its first mystery with Big Sky Season 1 Episode 9, is taking things in a new direction this April.
Yes, the series is off the air until April 13, but fear not, there are still seven episodes for fans to watch later in the year.
And, you could watch Big Sky online if you're already missing the fun!
The good news is that the series will have a new mystery during the back half of Big Sky Season 1, which is probably a good idea.
While the series has dialed the drama all the way up since its premiere, some of the developments felt dragged out an episode or two too long.
The case involving the missing girls is taking a back seat, but that doesn't mean the search for Ronald is going away.

Here is a wrap up of all the news you need to know from Thursday, January 28.
ABC's Big Sky is expanding its cast.
Deadline is reporting that the freshman hit is adding a powerful new family as Big Sky Season 1 progresses.
Michelle Forbes, Britt Robertson, Michael Raymond-James, Ryan Dorsey, and Omar Metwally have all been added in recurring guest roles.
The outlet states that Forbes, Robertson, Raymond James, and Dorsey will all be playing family members, while Metwally is on board as a U.S. Marshall.
Since its debut in November, the series has been a decent performer for ABC and recently snagged a six-episode backorder.
The ratings have been solid, and it was steady after a six-week hiatus, which does bode well for its future.
Now that the initial mystery is wrapping up, all eyes will be on the next storyline to see whether it can keep up the pace.
