The Osbournes have a new addition to the family, as they’ve adopted a bulldog that was brutally set on fire before being rescued by an organization that specializes in saving wounded dogs.
In the latest edition of The Osbournes podcast, Sharon, Ozzy, Kelly, and Jack discuss bringing the new dog into their home. The family had adopted the bulldog just a day before taping the episode and were still deciding on a name, with “Walter,” “Baby,” and “Porkchop” as contenders.
The Osbournes shared the story of how they got the bulldog, with Sharon explaining, “I was scrolling TikTok … and I saw this little angel, and he had been set on fire, and left [behind], and he was very, very skinny. And a guy saw him [and] saved him, and the Underdog Heroes Rescue [organization] took him in and basically saved his life. … Everything they do is to rescue dogs that have been harmed.

In the Star Trek: Discovery episode “Labyrinths,” Captain Michael Burnham finds herself trapped in a puzzle inside her mind, all part of a test to uncover the location of a powerful artifact. Realizing that the labyrinth reflects her personality, Burnham confesses a fear of failure that has been plaguing her. The cathartic sharing unlocks the puzzle, giving her the last bit of information that she needs to find the artifact.
For Discovery‘s critics, the solution to “Labyrinths” represents the show at its worst. Instead of using logic or maneuvers to solve the problem, Burnham gets in touch with her feelings. These sort of weepy moments have been a mainstay of Discovery, and often carry over into other modern Star Trek shows, including Picard and Strange New Worlds.
Some have argued that Discovery tries, with mixed success, to position emotional intelligence as a viable problem-solving technique. It’s all part...

For some fans, the arc of X-Men as mutant outsiders fighting for their right to fit in, be represented, or at best, to co-exist beside humans, feels more real than the world they live in. As such, Professor Xavierʼs never-ending struggle to mediate, guide, lead, train, shelter, and sometimes pioneer the war against injustice and suffering also resonates among fans who see themselves as outsiders.

The rumor that Wesley Snipes could once again return as the vampire-slaying Blade is not new. We reported on it last year. However, the possibility of a cameo in Deadpool & Wolverine didn’t get a reaction from the actor until recently.
An insider claims Blade will return, and the original man attached to the role has “already signed to do some stuff there.” Snipes appears to be very surprised by the rumor Screen Geek is reporting. On X, the actor responded by asking, “Whuhuuuut?”

Is it possible? Yes. Is Snipes playing coy? Of course.
Considering that cameo rumors have been in short supply lately, I wouldn’t put it past Ryan Reynolds trying to get his previous co-star a spot in the upcoming multiverse movie. Snipes being back in the saddle again is far more appealing than...

MCU has plenty of projects in the works scheduled to be released over the course of the next several years, one of them is the ‘Blade’ reboot, developed to bring in the most notable vampire hunter in the history of comics to MCU.
Mahershala Ali proposed the project and will be playing the titular vampire hunter. The movie was originally supposed to come out in 2023, but the release date was pushed all the way to 2025 (so far) due to Ali not exactly being happy with the script.
A few weeks ago we covered highly viral rumors that Wesley Snipes is returning to his old role, that of Blade. For many fans, he is still the gold standard when it comes to vampire hunters so plenty of fans were elated. The rumor went as far as to claim that Snipes will reprise his role in multiple projects set to be a part of Multiverse Saga.

Well, The Rookie sure knows how to cram in the maximum amount of stress and pain in 45 minutes or less!
To say The Rookie Season 6 Episode 8 was an adrenaline-inducing, nail-biter, filled to the brim with revelations, badassery, and soul-crushing moments would be an understatement.
While we already knew Monica, the second most interesting redhead to grace this series, was shady as willow tree in July, learning that she's working alongside Blair was a shock.
But that's not to say most of us weren't suspicious of Blair initially.
The Rookie tips its hat as a procedural because it can be formulaic despite all the unpredictable and intense moments.
One thing consistent about this series is that when they introduce a new recurring side character, nine times out of 10, that person is a Baddie or at least adjacent to some nefarious things.
Blair has been high on everyone's suspect list since she...

In the 1990s and 2000s, May (and specifically Memorial Day) typically marked the beginning of Summer Movie Season. Multiplexes nationwide were packed to the emergency exits with big names, big explosions and (presumably) big box office. The film industry has changed since then, obviously, and summer no longer packs the same high-octane punch that it once did. But in this evolution, release schedule space has opened up for a stellar month of Don’t-Miss Indies titles.

Wesley Snipes’ Blade Trilogy has a cult following with a loyal and dedicated fandom. As MCU is set to reboot the franchise with Oscar-winning star Mahershala Ali, fans have long sought the reappearance of Snipes in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Now, a recent rumor suggests that there is still room for Snipes’ Blade in the MCU.

Nothing is beyond possibility, at least in the multiverse saga. Brad Silberling's 2009 comedy/adventure "Land of the Lost" was a big-budget re-imagining of Sid and Marty Krofft's low-rent 1974 TV series of the same name. In the TV show, Marshall (Spencer Milligan), Will (Wesley), and Holly (Kathy Coleman) are on a routine river-rafting expedition when they encounter the biggest earthquake ever documented. They ride a raft through an aperture in the Earth and wind up in the Land of the Lost, a subterranean world ruled by dinosaurs and populated by ape-like proto-humans known as the Pakuni. Later in the series, there are discussions about having sailed through a time doorway, although the Land of the Lost is not prehistoric Earth, but a bizarre nether-realm filled with magic crystals, ineffable high-tech obelisks, and evil lizard people called Sleestaks. "Land of the Lost" was a touchstone of Gen-x kiddie entertainment.

Having a hissable, recurring villain adds that special something to any TV procedural.
Elijah Stone has been filling that role on The Rookie, tormenting members of the LAPD's Metro Division over the past two seasons (although it feels longer).
Sadly, complex villains such as Stone have recently become less of a thing on broadcast TV.
Let's look at the famed Hawaii Five-0 villain, Wo Fat, as a case study.
During the series' original run, Wo Fat was a crime boss, a red Chinese spy who answered to Peking (it was a different time) and served as the primary enemy of Steve McGarrett (played by Jack Lord).
Wo Fat (portrayed by Khigh Dhiegh) hung like a dense fog over that version, appearing in 15 episodes over nine of the show's 12 seasons.
In the rebooted series, Wo Fat (Mark Dacascos) was a crime boss and former Chinese Ministry of Interior agent. appeared...

Ryan Reynolds has shown his tremendous worth time and time again by doing things that others presumed to be rather impossible. Like getting an R-rated Deadpool movie full of savagery, profanity, and Nsfw references greenlit from the MCU — something that many thought they could never get. Or like convincing Hugh Jackman to return to his fan-favorite role of Wolverine.
Ryan Reynolds as Wade Wilson a.k.a. Deadpool.
But if there is, indeed, an impossible mission for Reynolds, then it is none other than bringing one Marvel actor back to the franchise: Wesley Snipes. And it’s most certainly not because he can’t do it, no. Rather, it is because he himself wouldn’t want to do it, thanks to Snipes being quite infamous for all the notoriety he showed on the sets of his Blade trilogy.

On “Saturday Night Live” March 9, Josh Brolin was the host and Ariana Grande the musical guest, but the appearance everyone is talking about is Scarlett Johansson as Katie Britt, the Alabama Senator whose Republican response to the 2024 State of the Union address drew widespread mockery even from conservative pundits. Wearing a plastered smile, and a beweled cross fitting for both “da church and da club,” Johansson’s Britt was probably the high point of “SNL’s” entire take on 2024 politics this season to date.
“Tonight I’ll be auditioning for the part of Scary Mom. And I’ll be performing an original monologue called ‘This Country Is Hell.’ You see, I’m not just a senator. I’m a wife, a mother, and the craziest bitch in the Target parking lot. I’m worried about the future of our children, and this is why I’ve invited you into this strange empty kitchen.

When Sen. Katie Britt (R-al) delivered her State of the Union response on Thursday, it was so dramatic and over the top that it was quickly compared to a Saturday Night Live skit.
SNL took the bait tonight, this time with Scarlett Johansson making a surprise appearance as Britt.
From the spotless kitchen set, Johansson’s Britt told viewers, “Good evening America, my name is Katie Britt, and I have the honor of serving the people of the great state of Alabama. But tonight, I’ll be auditioning for the part of scary mom.”
She went on, “I’ll be performing an original monologue called ‘This country is hell.’ You see, I’m not just a senator. I’m a wife, a mother, and the craziest bitch in the Target parking lot.”
Britt’s Sotu response has been panned on the left and the right for its bizarre delivery, with...

A few months ago, director Dwight H. Little – the director of such films as Rapid Fire (starring Brandon Lee), The Phantom of the Opera (starring Robert Englund), the Steven Seagal vehicle Marked for Death, Free Willy 2, the Wesley Snipes mystery Murder at 1600, Anacondas: The Hunt for the Blood Orchid, Tekken, and my favorite of the Halloween sequels, Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers – released a memoir called Still Rolling: Inside the Hollywood Dream Factory (copies can be purchased at This Link). In one passage of the book, Little discusses the series of mistakes and oversights that led to Brandon Lee’s tragic shooting death on the set of The Crow. With a remake of The Crow set to reach theatres in June and Rust armorer Hannah Gutierrez-Reed having just been found guilty of involuntary manslaughter in the case of the shooting death on the set of that film,...

‘Camomile Lawn’ Novelist’s Estate Snapped Up By Ilp
International Literary Properties has acquired the estate of British The Camomile Lawn novelist Mary Wesley. Channel 4’s adaptation of The Camomile Lawn is Channel 4’s second most successful drama series of all time, according to Ilp, and the deal will see Ilp manage the rights to Wesley’s work. Having famously published her first novel aged 70, she also wrote the likes of Jumping the Queue, Harnessing Peacocks and The Vacillations of Poppy Carew, all of which have previously been adapted for film and TV. “Mary was an incredible woman, an extraordinary author and a very close member of my family,” said Wesley’s daughter in law, the author Xinran Xue. Deadline revealed last year that Ilp, which holds rights to the literary estates of Langston Hughes and Evelyn Waugh, had headed on a West Coast charm offensive and snapped up the estate of Somerset Maugham.

Nolan can never have a regular anything.
It was a hellish honeymoon for him and his new wife on The Rookie Season 6 Episode 3, providing a heaping dose of humor for an hour that felt mostly like filler.
And Lucy's aspirations stalled to our displeasure.
Things have settled down after the excitement and fun of the season premiere and big 100-episode celebration.
While there was some fun in this installment with the honeymoon antics, and we got that blow for Lucy Chen with the results of her long-awaited detective's exam, it was an understated hour.
And only a little forward movement happened with the plot.
One of the standouts from John Nolan and Bailey's honeymoon was the fantastic camera work utilized to depict the various surveillance Nolan brought for the trip.
I love it when this series plays with cinematography and other things.

It’s been almost two years since we last reported on Steven C. Miller‘s werewolf movie Year 2,starring Frank Grillo. The filmmaker has offered recent updates on social media, teasing that the long wait for action werewolf carnage is nearly over and that it appears to have a new title: Werewolves.
The premise for Werewolves is described as “a supermoon event caused a latent gene to turn everyone exposed to the moonlight into a werewolf for one night. Millions died—and now, the supermoon is back.”
Katrina Law (“NCIS”) stars alongside Grillo as the brilliant geneticist, Dr. Amy Chen, who goes on a dangerous journey with Grillo’s character to saved loved ones, against a ticking clock.
That setup sounds like The Purge: Anarchy but with werewolves, and we’re so in.
Thanks to Miller’s posts on Twitter yesterday and today, we know that the filmmaker has been...

Two years have gone by since it was announced that Paul Wesley (The Vampire Diaries) had signed on to star in the horror thriller History of Evil for writer/director Bo Mirhosseni. Featuring over 70 episodes and two specials, Netflix‘s Queer Eye has been captivating viewers since it first premiered in 2018.
The show follows five LGBTQ advisors as they attempt to improve someone’s life over the span of a week by using their respective areas of expertise. Food and wine expert Antoni Porowski handles culinary education. Designer Bobby Berk does home renovations. Fashion guru Tan France tackles the wardrobe. Grooming genius Jonathan Van Ness gives the makeover. Culture and lifestyle chief Karamo Brown guides them through the whole journey.
A reboot of the 2003 Bravo reality series Queer Eye for the Straight Guy, this more modern Queer Eye doesn’t (always) rely on the novelty of put-together gay men “fixing” slovenly straight guys. Instead it often digs deeper into its subjects’ lives and uses its stars natural empathy to help unpack everyday folks’ issues and ultimately instill confidence. As you might expect,...

John Lennon’s first wife, Cynthia, was likely more familiar with the musician’s caustic side than most. The couple did not separate on good terms, and Cynthia dealt with his coldness and infidelity throughout their marriage. After their divorce, Cynthia learned that musician Terri Hooley punched Lennon. She told Hooley he should have hit him harder.
Cynthia Lennon joked that musician Terri Hooley should have punched John Lennon harder
In 1970, Hooley met Lennon in London. They were looking for radio equipment, but Lennon, incorrectly believing they were members of the Ira, offered to give them weapons.
“Me and a few friends had just set up a pirate radio station in the Craigantlet Hills and were in London to get equipment for it when I met Lennon,” Hooley told the Belfast Telegraph. “I can clearly remember that one of Lennon’s friends brought us to a garage and showed us...

It's long been debated whether the Netflix Marvel series were Marvel Cinematic Universe canon. The shows advertised themselves as being connected to the MCU movies; "Daredevil" obliquely referred to the alien invasion of New York City in "The Avengers" as "the incident," and criminal overseer Wesley (Toby Leonard Moore) even quipped to some goons, "If [Daredevil] had an iron suit or a magic hammer, maybe that would explain why you keep getting your asses handed to you." However, these connections were very much a one-way street.
Since then, though, Vincent D'Onofrio returned as Wilson Fisk/The Kingpin on "Hawkeye," while Charlie Cox reprised his role as Matt Murdock/Daredevil in "Spider-Man: No Way Home" and "She-Hulk." Cox and D'Onofrio are both returning for the new series "Daredevil: Born Again," as is Jon Bernthal as the Punisher.

It's safe to say the early aughts WB series "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" was a smash hit — among other accolades, it produced a five-season spin-off, "Angel," and launched several storied careers, including that of its controversial creator, Joss Whedon. A few of the "Buffy" characters returned in "Angel" after departing from "Buffy," including the British Watcher Wesley and Sunnydale High's resident mean girl Cordelia. Even Spike, who was killed off in the "Buffy" series finale, returned for the final season of the spin-off. However, not all of the cast members were so keen on reprising their roles after the original series ended.
Emma Caulfield stars in "Buffy" as the minor character Anya, a wish-granting vengeance demon who is turned back into a human and forced to attend high school where she falls in love with Buffy's hapless human sidekick, Xander. She became a recurring character in season 3 before falling into...

The "Star Trek: The Next Generation" episode "The Game" begins with Commander Riker (Jonathan Frakes) on vacation on Risa, having enjoyed a wild sexual fling with a woman named Etana (Katherine Moffat). The opening scene depicts Riker and Etana prancing about a hotel room, giggling in post-coital bliss. During their play, Etana introduces Riker to a V.R.-style video game that latches over his ears and beams images directly into his eyeballs. The game involves using your brainwaves to manipulate animated discuses into awaiting purple funnels. If you insert a discus successfully, the game rewards you by stimulating the pleasure centers of the brain. Riker is instantly hooked.
Perhaps predictably, the game is more sinister than one might initially assume. It will later be explained that playing the game erodes the brain, kind of hypnotizing a player, leaving them in a highly suggestible state. Those who play the game urge others to play,...

Hallmark holiday films have evolved over the years. They used to be romantic and almost cheesy, whereas now, these films go deeper and explore not only romantic relationships but genuine friendships and family ties.
A Season for Family is part of the Hmm Miracles of Christmas programming event, and it's so fitting because Hallmark is known for granting Christmas miracles.
This cast is stuffed with Hallmark familiar faces, most notably Brendan Penny and Jessica Sipos from Chesapeake Shores.
It was interesting to see Penny and Sipos play siblings after they had been love interests for so many years on Chesapeake Shores.
Stacey Farber and Edward Ruttle also mixed things up. They've played exes and potential love interests on The Spencer Sisters, so it was fun to see them interact differently.

Don't let the title fool you: "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" isn't the only one of her kind. The "Slayer" line goes back millennia, and when one falls, another young girl is called on by destiny. In the season 1 finale, "Prophecy Girl," Buffy (Sarah Michelle Gellar) briefly dies but is revived. The writers took advantage of that technicality in season 2 to introduce another slayer, Kendra (Bianca Lawson) — but she met a swift end.

Hawk hasn't been the easiest character to read, but Fellow Travelers Season 1 Episode 2 gave him some much-needed depth as we delved into his past, machinations, and desire to get posted overseas and live his best life.
When watching Fellow Travelers Season 1 Episode 1, it wasn't easy to connect with him because there were few consequences for his actions.
He's suave, smooth-talking, and somehow manages to command a room without effort.
Deep down, though, he's struggling because he knows that people wouldn't look twice at him if he were an out gay man.
Going back home to face his father after so many years away highlighted why Hawk fled home and got close to Lucy and, by extension, her father.
Knowing his father was dying didn't resonate with Hawk because he was still scarred from the past.
Hawk knew going into the family home, people would ask questions about his life in Washington D.

This Star Trek: Lower Decks article contains spoilers.
In “The Inner Fight,” the penultimate episode of Star Trek: Lower Decks‘s fourth season, the big bad is revealed to be someone we haven’t seen in a long time. Once a promising Starfleet Cadet and talented pilot, he let his youthful arrogance get the better of him, ending his career in disgrace. Even before Beckett Mariner opened a bunker door and the shadowy figure emerged, we heard the smarmy voice of Robert Duncan McNeill and realized who was back.
No, not Tom Paris. It’s Nick Locarno!
Yes, McNeill did play Lt. Jg./Ensign./Lt. Jg. Tom Paris for seven seasons on Star Trek: Voyager. And yes, he was a gifted pilot whose career ended in disgrace due to his arrogance. And Star Trek producers would have us believe that McNeill never appeared as a member of Starfleet before the Voyager premiere “Caretaker.

Spoilers for "Star Trek: Lower Decks" follow.
The overarching thread of "Star Trek: Lower Decks" season 4 so far has been a mysterious ship attacking a variety of ships throughout the Alpha Quadrant: we've seen it take one Klingon, Romulan, Orion, Ferengi, and Bynar ship each.
The season's penultimate episode, "The Inner Fight," reveals the pilot of this hostile ship, and it's a twist that no one saw coming. The ship doesn't belong to a new alien race, but someone with a more personal connection to Starfleet: Nicholas Locarno (Robert Duncan McNeill), a Starfleet Academy washout turned pilot for hire. The Cerritos crew discovers blueprints for the ship at Locarno's hideout while he abducts Beckett Mariner (Tawny Newsome) to the ship. The episode ends with Mariner and Locarno face to face, and they seem to have a history.
Now, the episode doesn't explain why Locarno built the ship and has been attacking others.

In the expansive "Star Trek" universe, some of its brightest stars embarked on unforeseen journeys, abruptly departing the franchise to both the dismay and intrigue of fandom.
Why didn't Kirstie Alley return as the beloved Lt. Saavik? What prompted Jeffrey Hunter to relinquish the role of Captain Pike? Who ejected Gates McFadden's Dr. Crusher from the airlock? How come Diana Muldaur, her replacement, endured only a single season? Why did Wil Wheaton part ways with Wesley Crusher? And why was Grace Lee Whitney, as Yeoman Janice Rand, dropped from the cast even before the original series premiered in 1966?
These departures stemmed from a myriad of forces: financial constraints, contract negotiations, miscasting, yearnings for new horizons or strange new opportunities, life-altering events, creative and personal conflicts, or a blend of these influences. Most were unexpected and frequently controversial. Whether these exits bolstered or hindered the franchise, the judgment is yours,...

Season 2 of the Paramount+ series will feature the “Star Trek” franchise’s first musical episode, it was announced Saturday at San Diego Comic-Con. The episode, titled “Subspace Rhapsody,” will air as the ninth hour in the current season and be available to stream beginning Aug. 3 on Paramount+.
The episode will feature 10 original songs, as well as a special version of the series’ main titles, with music and lyrics by Kay Hanley (“Letters to Cleo”) and Tom Polce.
As part of the announcement, Paramount+ released the first teaser trailer for the upcoming musical instalment, which features the USS Enterprise crew singing and dancing in elaborate numbers — and also finding themselves entangled in very interesting relationship moments.

[These interviews were conducted prior to the SAG-AFTRA strike authorization.] [Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 2 Episode 6 “Lost in Translation.”] Welcome to the Enterprise (and your future), James T. Kirk (Paul Wesley). He comes on board during a crisis on Star Trek: Strange New Worlds and not only meets Spock (Ethan Peck) but also gains the trust of Uhura (Celia Rose Gooding). To briefly recap: Uhura ends up having to face her past losses and grief regarding her family, and she opens up to Kirk — after a bit of a rocky start, that is. It was easier for Uhura to talk to Kirk because he doesn’t know her like everyone else does and isn’t her superior officer. “She doesn’...

This Star Trek: Strange New Worlds article contains spoilers.
Technically speaking, Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 2 episode “Lost in Translation” is a Uhura-focused hour, which grapples with issues of loss, empathy, and miscommunication all wrapped up in rescuing a heretofore undiscovered alien species from being unnecessarily harmed by Starfleet mining equipment. But it’s also something else, too: The first episode in which Star Trek fans really get to meet the Strange New Worlds version of the franchise’s most iconic figure: James T. Kirk.
After two previous appearances in episodes that took place in alternate timelines, we finally get to meet the “real” Kirk in “Lost in Translation,” a young man freshly promoted to First Officer on the U.S.S. Farragut who boards the Enterprise to visit his brother Sam and tell him the good news. Along the way, he meets several of the people who will...

Grief is a hard thing to talk about and an even harder one to confront. On Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 2 Episode 6, we finally have the opportunity to deal with Hemmer's tragic and horrific death from Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 1.
Pelia is in the unenviable position of replacing him as Chief Engineer, where her style and approach will invariably be compared (and found lacking) to Hemmer's. Her interaction with Una illustrates this vividly.
Meanwhile, Uhura's relationship with the late Chief Engineer was one of both professional and personal mentorship. That bond can resemble a parent-child connection, and it's not surprising that his death reminds her of the loss of her family.
There are a lot of backward glances at previous missions seeded throughout the narrative and one very significant nod to a future working relationship we all know is coming.
For those keeping track, this is the...

[These interviews were conducted prior to the SAG-AFTRA strike authorization.] [Warning: The below contains Major spoilers for Star Trek: Strange New Worlds Season 2 Episode 6 “Lost in Translation.”] The moment that Star Trek fans have been waiting for ever since it was announced that Paul Wesley was cast as James T. Kirk on Strange New Worlds is here: the future captain and Spock (Ethan Peck) meeting. “I know it was so casual. It literally was a handful of words, but that first meeting between Spock and Uhura [Celia Rose Gooding] and Kirk, just the three of them and [when] the camera pulls back, it’s so f**king awesome,” Wesley told TV Insider. Uhura is the one to instigate the meeting, after she leans on Kirk while facing her past. Kirk is the one to invite Spock to join them, and the episode ends with the three of them talking. “It is funny because I tend to go into these scenes ...
