- Maverick Records head honcho Guy Oseary personally signed the UK based band to the US based label without meeting or even talking to any Soul Hooligan member, after Los Angeles DJ Jason Bentley played Oseary a demo of their track "Algebra".
- Soul Hooligan's track "Algebra" was chosen for the widely seen HBO US ad campaign that featured before the last-ever episode of 'Sex & The City' (tagline: "HBO - You Do The Math"). Despite earning $50,000 for use of the track, the band never saw a penny as they were, by then, deeply in debt to their recording and publishing companies (Maverick & Warner / Chappell).
