Live entertainment production company Silent House plans to expand into three separate and has hired industry veterans Mark Bracco and Linda Gierahn in leadership roles.
Founder and CEO Baz Halpin said today that the company’s restructure will create Silent House Studios, Silent House Events and Silent House Productions – under the moniker Silent House Group. Bracco will serve as President of Silent House Productions and Gierahn as Chief Content Officer & Head of Production.
“We are thrilled to be taking this next step in the evolution of Silent House as we continue collaborating with our partners to take care of any production needs that our clients have,” Halpin said. “With Mark and Linda on board, we now have all of the pieces in place to plan and execute every facet of a production. The Silent House Group is now the one-stop shop for all the needs of unscripted and live entertainment.

The Art Directors Guild has announced its nominations for the 24th Annual Excellence in Production Design Awards in theatrical motion pictures, television, commercials, music videos and animation features.
Among the films recognized for outstanding production design are James Mangold’s “Ford V Ferrari,” Martin Scorsese’s “The Irishman,” and Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.”

The Art Directors Guild has announced the nominees for this year’s Adg Excellence in Production Design Awards, with “Jackie,” “La La Land” and more among the contenders. Adg’s awards are different from most others, as it has categories for Period, Fantasy and Contemporary Films; this has led to a wide array of winners in recent years, including the likes of “Her” and “Guardians of the Galaxy.” This year’s ceremony, the 21st, will take place in Hollywood on Saturday, February 11. The Art Directors Guild has unveiled the nominees of its 20th anual Excellence in Production Design Awards and "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" is one of the contenders in the Contemporary Feature Film category. But it may be hard for the force to beat the magical "Cinderella!"

Louis J. Horvitz has been set to direct the 67th annual Emmy Awards, and Danette Herman, Bob Dickinson and Baz Halpin have joined the production team, it was announced Thursday. Herman and Dickinson are returning this year in their respective roles as co-producer and lighting designer. Halpin has been brought on to serve as production designer, and Tamlyn Wright will serve as co-designer. This will be Horvitz’s seventeenth time directing the Emmy Awards telecast, and he has also directed the Oscars 12 times, winning seven Emmys for his work. Hollywoodnews.com: Martin Scorsese, Peter Dinklage and the cast of ABC’s hit comedy “Modern Family” walked away as big winners from the 63rdr Primetime Emmy Awards, which were held Sunday night in Los Angeles.
“Family” led the evening with five Emmy wins, including Best Comedy, Best Supporting Actor (Ty Burrell) and Actress (Julie Bowen), direction and screenwriting.
“Welcome back to the ‘Modern Family’ awards,” host Jane Lynch (“Glee”) joked coming out of a commercial break.
But “Family wasn’t the only winner. AMC’s period drama “Mad Men” walked away with the Best Drama Emmy. Scorsese took home a trophy for directing the pilot episode of HBO’s “Boardwalk Empire.” And Peter Dinklage earned a well-deserved Emmy for his outstanding work on “Game of Thrones.”
