Eric Warner may have killer blue eyes, but the real question is: did he kill his wife Kate?
We probably won't find out the answer to that until the end of the season. Nevertheless if this season is anything like Secrets and Lies Season 1 then we're in store for twists, turns, and a hell of a lot of frustration.
Secrets and Lies Season 2 Episode 1 introduced us to a new case, with a new murder victim, and a new unfortunate soul who will most likely spend the rest of the season in Detective Cornell's cross hairs.
On the surface Eric Warner seems to have everything together. He's rich, successful, and is soon to be taking over his father's firm. His wife Kate is the love of his life, and as he recently found out, the mother of his unborn child.
Oh how quickly that unraveled!
For the most part the premiere...

Notoriously bad detective Andrea Cornell returned to ABC on Sunday for a second season of Secrets and Lies and Trench Coats. And this time… wait for it… she thinks the husband did it.

Haskell Wexler, a two-time Academy Award-winning cinematographer, died Sunday in Santa Monica, Calif. He was 93. Wexler won his Oscars for films in both black and white and in color — 1967’s “Who’s Afraid of Virginia Woolf?” and 1976’s “Bound for Glory.” His death was confirmed on the website HaskellWexler.com, and International Cinematographers Guild President Steve Porter issued a statement about Wexler Sunday. “Haskell’s cinematography has always been an inspiration to so many of us not only in the Guild, but in the entire industry. His steady focus on safety over the years further demonstrates his commitment to welfare of the crew.

Between 2001 and 2006, Endemol USA produced the reality series Fear Factor for NBC. A brief 2011 revival notwithstanding, viewers haven't thought much about the stunt-based reality show in the past decade, but Endemol's digital division is looking to change that. As first noted by The Hollywood Reporter, it has released the first episode of a web series called Fear Factor Remix that mashes up clips from the TV show.
The creative force behind Fear Factor Remix is DJ Steve Porter, who is known for putting a musical spin on viral clips. His most popular video, which remixes the Slap Chop infomercial, has been viewed more than 15 million times since its release in 2009.
For Endemol's web series, Porter cuts together Fear Factor clips based around a specific theme. The first episode, for example, is titled "The Taste In Your Mouth," and it focuses on the gross things Fear Factor contestants have been forced to eat over the years.

Welcome back for a wild new year at Greendale Community College, as the study group faces their toughest tests yet… Why would bachelor-for-life Jeff Winger (Joel McHale) pop the big question to Britta (Gillian Jacobs)? What incites innocent Annie (Alison Brie) to chloroform a janitor? Hey, Pierce (Chevy Chase)! Is your mum really still alive in a lava lamp? Will Abed (Danny Pudi) miss his Pulp Fiction birthday for a chance to give Jeff his own version of My Dinner With Andre? What makes Troy (Donald Glover) boldly go for LeVar Burton? Chicago – The program most unforgivably missing from Sunday’s Emmy telecast is NBC’s brilliant comedy “Community.” It’s almost as if the Academy decided there were too many NBC shows at the party (“The Office,” “Parks and Recreation,” “30 Rock”) and so left out arguably the best of the Thursday night bunch. See the second season, now available on DVD, and see the level of Emmy injustice for yourself.
Television Rating: 5.0/5.0
“Community” went through some growing pains in season one but returned from the brink of cancellation more creatively confident and daring than nearly any program on TV (only two comedies of 2011 — “Parks and Rec,” “Louie” — were arguably better). Dan Harmon’s show is the kind of comedy made for DVD in that you can watch episode after episode after episode and never tire of the show. Stand-outs in season two include “Basic Rocket Science,” “Conspiracy Theories and Interior Design,...

The second season of NBC’s Community hits DVD tomorrow, and to get you in the mood, watch the fairly incredible “Community Season 2 DVD DJ Steve Porter Remix” video that premiered at Comic-Con. It artfully splices together dialogue (and some of the season’s most memorable moments) to make the vocals of a two-minute dance track. It won’t actually be on the DVD, so watch it below.
How many times did you hit replay? (It’s the use of Magnitude and the Dean that got me.)

On Tuesday (June 15), Eminem unveiled a brand-new viral clip for his upcoming Recovery album that features Vince Offer, the razor-faced pitchman otherwise known as the ShamWow! Guy. It's pretty funny, though it would've been hilarious if it was still 2008.
Still, we can't blame Em for being late to the party. It seems that the entire hip-hop world is just discovering Offer, who had previously achieved a modicum of fame with his abrasive late-night infomercial for the ultra-absorbent ShamWow! (our favorite line: "Made in Germany ... you know the Germans always make good stuff!") but became a stoner god (and a bonafide celebrity) with his over-the-top spot for Slap Chop ("You're gonna love my nuts!"). Shoot, just a few weeks back, Snoop Dogg paid tribute to Offer by working his Slap Chop spiel — "Fettuccini, linguini, martini, bikini" — into his verse on Katy Perry's massive "California Gurls."

No matter what you think of the government putting Goldman Sachs on trial for questionable investment practices, one thing is for sure: They make for excellent theater. In a widely talked-about moment (or rather, series of moments) from the hearings, Michigan senator Carl Levin referred to an e-mail sent by Goldman Sachs executive Daniel Sparks that called a certain piece of business a "sh---y deal." (As National Public Radio put it, it's a six-letter word that rhymes with "pretty.") Levin turned the off-color phrase into a sort of absurdist mantra, and the constant repetition turned a typically dry piece of C-span footage into an oft-spun piece of tape on all of the cable news networks.
Of course, where there's a meme, there's an Internet remix to go along with it. Online news magazine Slate produced slow rolling, snap-infused remix of the hearing that chops up Levin's profane interrogation of Sparks...

Having to choose between posting an interview with Jonny Lang--whose burning new concert album Live At The Ryman will be released this Tuesday--or an interview with DJ Steve Porter on his collaboration with Perry Farrell and a reworking of the Entourage theme song, a coin was flipped. Strangely, it rolled under the couch, lost forever amidst petrified pizza crusts, empty Tab and Fresca cans, missing socks, and layers of something fuzzy that Hazmat units have repeatedly refused to go near. Still, a decision had to be made. With there being barely enough infinite space on Huffington Post's entertainment page to accommodate this much virtual print, shadow governments were contacted, corporations were restructured, planes were rerouted, and just minutes later, no deal was reached. Solution? Internet physics be damned. So, the following are the intact Lang and Porter pieces, now presented...

DJ Steve Porter didn't intend to necessarily stir things up when he threw "a bunch of Auto-Tune" on an informercial hosted by pitchman Vince Offer. Rather, "Slap Chop Rap" was born out of boredom. "I became slightly disenchanted with the electronic and dance music scene," Porter explains. "I reached a point where I wanted to try something different."
His fun forays into video remixing — which also include the much-buzzed-about sports press conference mash-up "Press Hop" — have turned into a cottage industry for him: He has teamed up with Slap Chop pitchman Offer to create official remixes, and the exposure also scored him a job doing remixes for FedEx.
Porter began his experiments with video remixing about a year ago. The result was "Snap Ur Fraggle," a combination of Lil Jon tape and footage from "Fraggle Rock" that Porter admits is "sort of terrible." But he caught the bug and learned some things along the way,...
