The General Hospital storyline also hints at Sonny Corinthos, played by Maurice Benard, making a vow and a tragic car accident set to occur in the first week of June. Also, other rumors suggest an explosion at Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) coffee warehouse. This may leave someone blind on General Hospital.
Finn, played by Michael Easton, makes a promise after an apology. And a secret alliance could be revealed. Spinelli, portrayed by Bradford Anderson, might get arrested. And Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) is not happy about it. So, there is a lot happening on General Hospital and viewers can’t wait.
The casting news suggests that John J York is back on set as Mac Scorpio. Also, another female veteran has been put on contract. More information on this is coming soon. However, rumors also swirl about potential exits on General Hospital, including Kirsten Storms, Bradford Anderson.

General Hospital spoilers tease that Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) is Port Charles’ newest resident from Bensonhurst. He’s Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) cousin and made his debut playing violin at Brooklyn’s wedding to Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard).
Gio mentioned later that he never had the chance to meet his father because he served in Afghanistan and died before Gio was born. If that sounds like someone currently is Port Charles, you might be thinking of Drew Cain (Cameron Matheson).
General Hospital Spoilers – Drew Cain served In Afghanistan!
Drew was a Navy Seal and also served in Afghanistan and was actually presumed dead for many years. But Drew already fathered a son during that period, Oscar Nero (Garren Stitt) so it might a little much for him to have another son in exact same circumstance.

General Hospital (Gh) spoilers report Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) and Damien Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) are officially a couple — and in love.
Spontaneously, love was in the air at Brook Lynn Quartermaine’s (Amanda Setton) wedding to Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Maxie couldn’t contain her true feelings anymore.
That being said, the fans are chattering that there might be more drama ahead before these two can really share any kind of happily ever after.
Did it all come too easy? We did wait more than a year for Spinelli to declare his love for the Maxonista, but will her worst fears of breaking his heart again come true? Or will they ride off into the sunset — finally?
One has to wonder whether the next big day Maxie will plan will be her own wedding day to Spinelli. Can they make it down the aisle this time while keeping their sanity and family intact?...

General Hospital fans are in for a treat as the show brings some exciting casting updates. A new character, Giovanni Palmieri has stirred interest, particularly for Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy).
However, it appears that Trina Robinson, played by Tiana Ali, could be the one for him. Another notable return is that of Nicholas Chavez, who played Spencer Cassadine. Chavez has confirmed his exit, but a recast is likely to happen. The exit of Chavez sparked comments from his co-star, Tabyana Ali, who stated she hopes to work with him again in the future.
Adding to the excitement, the character of Mac Scorpio, played by John J York, is returning after the actor’s successful recovery from cancer. The show also introduces various characters for the wedding scenes, including the Cerullo contingency from Bensonhurst, Brooklyn.

General Hospital (Gh) spoilers reveal everyone in Port Charles breathed a big sigh of relief when Ryan Chamberlain was killed by Mac Scorpio (John J. York) back in 2023.
Still, “everyone” breathed a big sigh of relief when Ryan first died in 1995 but ended up very much alive in 2018.
Gh Spoilers: Could Ryan Chamberlain Return?
Anything is possible in the land of Port Charles, and Soaps.com recently asked actor Jon Lindstrom what his thoughts were around another run for Ryan.
Lindstrom notes that “he just doesn’t know” if bringing Ryan back is plausible, as “we all saw him dead in a body bag.” It’s important for fans to remember that back in 1995, Ryan was presumed dead from an explosion. There’s such a big difference from his passing last year.

Still, as Jon’s interview with Soaps.com progressed, the actor entertained an interesting idea.

General Hospital has lost its way, and adding cast members with little to no significance to the current cast has been par for the course.
The cast is so bloated, yet many longtime fan favorites have been on the back burner for so long that what was simmering is probably stuck to the pot.
Over the years, the show has morphed from the hospital drama to being more focused on the mob scene, run by none other than Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).
Whether viewers want to admit it or not, he has become the face of the show. He is on nearly every day and often is the center of focus for several big storylines on the daytime drama.
However, some of us remember the days of great storylines that happened at the hospital. The nursing staff has dwindled, and the doctors are few and far between these days.

York is well aware of the risks involved in the transplant.

The soap star, who has played Malcolm “Mac” Scorpio on the long-running ABC daytime drama for 22 years, announced last week that he has been undergoing treatment for two blood and bone marrow disorders — myelodysplastic syndromes and multiple smoldering myeloma. In a new interview with People, York revealed that he’s battled ulcerative colitis and Crohn’s disease since he was 17, so he’s prepared to face his cancer diagnoses head-on. “It’s just another thing that I gotta now take care of,” he said. “I went through life with colonoscopies, medicines, the whole thing, and always had to be under doctor’s care,” he shared, adding, “and living life. Everything’s good.” It was through these regular check-ups that doctors discovered York’s cancer.

York has starred as Mac Scorpio on “General Hospital” since originating the character in 1991. He first announced he’d be taking a hiatus from the series earlier this month.
York took to X (Twitter) on Wednesday to explain what he’s been struggling with since late last year.
“Last December, of ’22, I was diagnosed with myelodysplastic syndrome, and [Smoldering Multiple Myeloma], two blood and bone marrow disorders,” York shared. “Over the past many months, I’ve had three bone marrow biopsies, many chemo treatments — I have another one coming up in a couple of weeks — and I am closing in on a blood stem cell transplant.”
According to the National Cancer Institute, myelodysplastic syndrome (Mds) is a type of cancer “in which immature blood cells in the bone marrow do not mature or become healthy blood cells.

It appears as if the General Hospital good guys are finally going to get their man — Peter August (Wes Ramsey) — now that they’ve gotten a lead on the evil villain and Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) whereabouts. For Dante Falconeri, played by Dominic Zamprogna, it’s deeply personal given that Peter escaped his custody and shot his pal/boss Mac Scorpio (John J. York) the last time he got away. Along with wanting to bring Peter to justice, Dante’s involved in a romance with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco). The actor talks candidly about what the new pairing is like, especially since both Dante and Sam have been part of other long-term couplings — his with Lulu (Emme Rylan), currently in a coma, and Sam with Jason (Steve Burton), who is presumed dead. Read on for the scoop! Everyone’s after Peter now. This must be personal now after his escape from Dante’s custody.
