Spoiler Alert: Do not read ahead if you have not watched Season 11, Episode 4 of “The Masked Singer,” “TV Theme Night,” which aired March 27 on Fox.
“Extra” host Billy Bush won’t get an extra shot at “The Masked Singer.” The entertainment newsmagazine anchor and one-time morning drive radio host was the next celebrity to be unmasked on Wednesday’s “TV Theme Night” edition of “The Masked Singer.”
“I’m not a great singer,” Bush said. “If you can’t make it with the lips, make it with the hips. If you’ve never done something that’s a little on the scary side — and this is scary — say yes!”
For Bush, none of the panelists got it right. Robin Thicke guessed Anderson Cooper. Jenny McCarthy-Wahlberg picked Seth Meyers. Ken Jeong picked Ryan Seacrest. New panelist Rita Ora said it was Andy Cohen.

The Love Boat was a show that felt like it could only come from the 1970s. With its endless list of guest stars, drawn from a pool of career TV actors and semi-retired movie stars, the anthology series was as comfortable to most people as it was kitschy. Of course, there was also the show’s regular cast — the ship’s crew — who served to tie all of the stories together, along with a few subplots of their own. The ship’s genial Captain Stubing was, of course, played by the late Gavin MacLeod, and Jill Whelan co-starred as the captain’s daughter. Years ago, we spoke to MacLeod and Whelan, who told us why they thought the show lasted as long as it did — through nine seasons and a series of reunion films. https://www.hollywoodoutbreak.com/wp-content/uploads/2023/12/Love-Boat1.mp3

Hollywood awoke today to the sad news that Eight Is Enough star Adam Rich was gone too soon at age 54.
Mourners posted about the hairstyle that launched a thousand imitators and how he was a TV presence in their childhood. But those who knew him best also focused on his kindness and caring in his adult years, even as he struggled to overcome various issues in his life.
Particularly notable was the outpouring from fellow child stars of his vintage, who perhaps knew all too well about what massive early attention can do to the rest of your life.
A few of the early reactions:

Reality dating is getting a classic twist this fall with the premiere of “The Real Love Boat,” which aims to bring nostalgia, fun and romance to CBS.
Premiering Wednesday, Oct. 5, “The Real Love Boat” takes inspiration from the classic late-1970s and 1980s-spanning show that combined comedy, drama and romance, as it brings together 10 singles – five women and five men (with additions coming on at various ports) – for an unforgettable Mediterranean cruise and a shot at love.
“It’s super, super fun and it brings back the feels as we always like to say as we’re watching it,” executive producer Jay Bienstock told TheWrap when we spoke to him about the new reality series for our Fall TV Preview.
Real life couple Jerry O’Connell and Rebecca Romijn, who are featured in the key art, which TheWrap can exclusively reveal below, serve as hosts of the show, and via their own romance,...

“The Love Boat” soon will be making another run, promising something for everyone — but this time as a reality dating series.
CBS and its sister Australian broadcaster Network 10 have both ordered local versions of “The Real Love Boat,” set to air in the U.S. and Australia later this year. The show is exactly what it sounds like: A reality dating competition show, but patterned after the hit 1970s hour-long comedy “The Love Boat.”
And just as Princess Cruises served as the backdrop to the scripted series, the cruise line’s ships will also serve as a setting for the new unscripted shows.
“The Love Boat” was produced by Aaron Spelling, whose company was later purchased by Viacom — eventually leading to the “Love Boat” IP being owned by CBS Studios. CBS and Network 10 are now Paramount Global brands.

Everyone's back on deck! The cast of The Love Boat had a reunion on Friday, May 10, to receive their star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in partnership with Princess Cruises — and it was so good to see them all back together 40 years since the show first aired. The hit series ran from 1977 until 1986, and in our opinion, it very much deserves this prestigious acknowledgment. For the special get-together in La — which aired on Today — some of the show's most memorable faces including Gavin McLeod, Ted Lange, Bernie Kopell, Cynthia Lauren Tewes, Jill Whelan, and Fred Grandy dressed the part in their black and navy blue pantsuits. The best part? Gavin even sported his signature Capt. Merril Stubing captain's hat! Reunion on the Lido Deck!
The original cast of The Love Boat – along with a whole lot of former guest stars – gathered in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida, Wednesday to help christen a new line of Princess Cruise ships.

“Oprah: Where Are They Now?” comes back this weekend (Sun. June 8 at 9:00 p.m. Et on Own) with the reunion you never knew you wanted to see: the cast of that epic '80s cheesefest "The Love Boat." Ted Lange, Cynthia Lauren Tewes and Jill Whelan reunite and reminisce about life aboard The Pacific Princess, which was probably less fabulous than it looked on our TV screens. Then, in a rare interview at her Beverly Hills home, the one and only Latin music sensation Charo talks about success and the real meaning of her catchphrase “Cuchi-Cuchi.” We can only hope she talks about why she does not seem to have aged since 1982. Next, Dave Coulier, who played Uncle Joey on the popular sitcom “Full House,” talks about his real-life relationships with former co-stars Bob Saget and John Stamos and the truth about those Alanis Morissette rumors. Plus, actor D.B. Sweeney,...

CBS' "The Talk" reunited the cast of "The Love Boat" on Tuesday (Nov. 5), and in addition to dressing like the iconic characters, the hosts asked the stars to reminisce on the surprise success of the series.
Gavin MacLeod, Bernie Kopell, Ted Lange, Fred Grandy, Lauren Tewes, and Jill Whelan were all in attendance to look back and discuss the success of the show.
"I didn't even think we'd get through the pilot. Nobody thought it would go beyond that," Grandy says. "The critics hated it. They said it would sink like the Titanic. They put us on at 10 o'clock on a Saturday night which is normally a graveyard shift. And then we started beating shows like 'Kojak' and 'Carol Burnett.' And all of a sudden, this thing caught on."

At age 21 actor/director Joe Raffa is already making quite a name for himself on the independent filmmaking scene. His first directorial effort (which he also wrote and co-starred in) - You'll Know My Name - has already been nabbed for distribution after a successful festival run in 2011.
He's currently in post-production on his follow-up project called Six Degrees of Hell, a supernatural thriller starring Corey Feldman, Nikki Bell, Jill Whelan, Brian Anthony Wilson and Raffa as well; and Dread Central recently caught up with the up-and-coming filmmaker to discuss his experiences making both You'll Know My Name and Six Degrees of Hell, why he won't ever star in a film he directs again and why the dark side of storytelling is so compelling to him.
