- Is a board member of the Earth Communications Office (ECO), an environmental advocacy group based in Los Angeles.
- Wrote a play titled "Streams of Consciousness" in the early 1990s. It debuted at the Met Theater in Los Angeles in 1992.

- (2006, January - February) Starred as "Valmont" in Christopher Hampton's play, "Les Liaisons Dangereuses", produced by the Huntington Theatre Company at the Boston University Theatre, Boston, Massachusetts, USA.
- From August 29 to October 14, 2007, he played "Herb Lawrence" in Lucy Thurber's new play "Scarcity", for the Atlantic Theater Group at the Linda Gross Theater in New York. For this role, he received a nomination as "Outstanding Featured Actor in a Play" at the 53rd Annual Drama Desk Awards.
- From June 29 (first of the previews), with official premiere on July 11 to July 29, 2008, he played "Edward Christianson" in Tanya Barfield's new play, "Of Equal Measure", commissioned by and staged at the Kirk Douglas Theatre in Culver City, CA.
- From February 28 (first of the previews) to May 10, 2009, he played "Douglas Finch" in the world premiere of Michael Jacob's play "Impressionism", directed by Jack O'Brien, and starring Jeremy Irons and Joan Allen, and featuring Marsha Mason at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theatre on Broadway in New York.
