So with Christmas just a week away, The Arrow in the Head Show hosts John “The Arrow” Fallon and Lance Vlcek have decided to prepare for the holiday by taking in a viewing of Black Christmas. No, not the 1974 classic, and not the 2019 Blumhouse remake. The one that came out in between those two. The 2006 version of Black Christmas, which you can watch Here. To find out what The Arrow and Lance think of this one, check out the video embedded above.
Written and directed by Glen Morgan, Black Christmas 2006 has the following synopsis:

Van Helsing Season 4 Episode 10
“I can’t believe we’re negotiating with a moron in the goddamn apocalypse.”
After last week’s solo mission into Jack’s past, “Together Forever” gets the larger Van Helsing narrative arc back on track and introduces an element that up to now has remained in the shadows. The government is watching, and while it’s not yet evident how much it knows about Blak Tek and its experiments, the revelation that it’s out there and paying attention adds another intriguing layer to the chaos taking place in the Western United States. And even though Vanessa’s still trapped in an alternate world with the Dark One, her daughters more than make up for her absence.

Chicago – There are so many lens flares in the hazy, visually drab “Battlestar Galactica: Blood & Chrome” that it looks like J.J. Abrams sneezed on the lens. And that’s not all “Galactica” creators Michael Taylor and David Eick took as inspiration from Abrams’ slickly generic yet crowd-pleasing “Star Trek” installments. Yet this latest attempt at rebooting the beloved sci-fi franchise is a complete misfire.
Originally proposed as the premise for a gaming system, the plot for “Blood & Chrome” emerged as the potential pilot for a new “Galactica” program (thankfully, SyFy opted against the idea). Going in the polar opposite direction of Eick’s superbly crafted, woefully short-lived prequel series, “Caprica,” “B&C” favors jittery handheld camerawork and derivative action set-pieces over provocative ideas and compelling characters. All that unites the two shows is their irritating overuse of the fearsome F-word, “frak,” which is perhaps the least amusing running gag in television history.

Machinima has posted episodes 3 and 4 of Blood and Chrome. You can watch them below or on the Machinima Prime YouTube Channel. Episode 1 has had 1,773,800 views so far and episode 2, only 517,234. Some high-traffic sites didn't embed both episodes last week, so if you haven't seen ep 2, you should probably catch up first.
And a slight correction: Machinima has released the full schedule for the show, and the final two episodes will be posted on December 7, not November 30, which makes more sense since they are being released in pairs.
David Eick will be answering questions about the show on YouTube any minute now, so if you have an account, you can head over there.
Nerdist has a new interview with Eick. Here is a snippet that probably isn't a surprise to the conspiracists among us (the part about those plans for a B&C TV show not being what they were cracked...

Well, holy frak. The sequel has a release date.
Entertainment Weekly reports that Blood and Chrome will be released online on Machinima Prime's YouTube Channel in ten 7-12-minute installments starting this Friday, November 9.
The full two-hour pilot will air on Syfy early next year, and an unrated version will be released on home video some time after that.
Refresher course from EW (because it's been a while):
For those who haven’t followed the B&C saga, the project was originally developed as a series for Syfy following the conclusion of the critically beloved Battlestar Galactica reboot and its movie spin-offs The Plan and Razor. BSG vets David Eick and Michael Taylor are executive producers, with Taylor writing the script from a story by Eick, Bradley Thompson and David Weddle. Jonas Pate (Caprica) directed.
The prequel follows young William Adama (Luke Pasqualino, UK’s Skins) during the first Cylon War.

Let's start the weekly round-up with Grimm.
Grimm's ratings dropped a little this week, but the show still won the 18-49 demo in its timeslot, finishing ahead of CSI: NY, Fringe and Supernatural, and rising by a full frakking ratings point (1.8) after Chuck (0.8). Wake up, Chuck.
Hitfix visited the set in Portland recently and posted a lengthy report. Here is a snippet:
Sasha Roiz on how his character will develop later in the series: "I’m not a Grimm descendent, but I'm a descendent of a long line that dates back just as Grimm does and we have a bit of a history and a past, so my line is a royal line and that will slowly unfold throughout the series."Collider has a longer interview with Sasha and Reggie Lee (more at the link):
It’s nice to see your character – like the main character – has the duality.
