Jules Stein
- Producer
Jules Stein, was known as "Julie" to friends and business associates. After a misspent youth where he grew up in the neighborhood movie palaces of The Bronx, he attended the Manhattan High School of Aviation Trades. He joined the Navy and served on the aircraft carrier USS Roosevelt during World War II. His love of movies led to a career that began in Hollywood at Howard Hughes' RKO Pictures. He moved to United Artists, where he traveled the world as a member of its sales department. In 1971 he was appointed Director of International Sales for American-International Pictures. He loved Frank Sinatra, Doris Day, blackjack, vodka rocks, New York's Jones Beach and his three children: Richard (Toni), Geri-lyn, and Mathew (Carrie). His grandchildren Natalie, Sarah, Samantha, Joe, Michael and Zane and two great grandchildren who survive him. He passed away peacefully on July 3, 2016. He was 89 years old. A decent man, and a great dad, he made the world a better place just by being in it.
