Eric Scott was born in Santa Monica, California in 1964. He graduated with honors from the USC School Of Business in 1986 with an emphasis in Entrepreneurship. Post-graduate work came in the applied science of Recording Arts, intent in building upon his home-studio skills further. Eric worked commercially in the trade of engineering audio jingles, and in 1991, he founded the Day For Night independent music imprint, for which he has developed an identity and image that have proven influential to much of his subsequent work.
His sleeves for the band Toto (Sony Music International) and the jazz label Zebra Records became an early outlet for his graphic work, albeit a small representation of the creative output he was producing full-time. In 1995, Eric established Day For Night as a full-time digital creative studio, integrating his strategic writing and design skills to form a more ideas-based environment. As a practicing graphic artist, multimedia and audio designer and music composer, he is also proficient in user experience design and interactive media - and has balanced his collective business skills in branding strategies. With Day For Night, he accepts musical, artistic and development commissions for web-based arts, music and new media projects.
