General Hospital spoilers tease that Mayor Laura Collins (Genie Francis) wanted nothing more to do with Heather Webber (Alley Mills). As viewers know, Heather has been in and out of mental facilities and prisons for the last several years. None of those facilities have been able to hold Heather for long.

It appears as if the General Hospital good guys are finally going to get their man — Peter August (Wes Ramsey) — now that they’ve gotten a lead on the evil villain and Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) whereabouts. For Dante Falconeri, played by Dominic Zamprogna, it’s deeply personal given that Peter escaped his custody and shot his pal/boss Mac Scorpio (John J. York) the last time he got away. Along with wanting to bring Peter to justice, Dante’s involved in a romance with Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco). The actor talks candidly about what the new pairing is like, especially since both Dante and Sam have been part of other long-term couplings — his with Lulu (Emme Rylan), currently in a coma, and Sam with Jason (Steve Burton), who is presumed dead. Read on for the scoop! Everyone’s after Peter now. This must be personal now after his escape from Dante’s custody.

There’s an old show business adage about performers not working with children but that’s not the case with soap opera fan favorite Cameron Mathison. His General Hospital character Drew Cain is reconnecting with daughter Scout (Ella Ramacieri) in the December 17 episode. Mathison says Scot is the reason his character made it back from two years of captivity. “Scout’s a really, really, really important person in Drew’s life,” Mathison tells TV Insider. “She is the reason — I’ve [decided] — that Drew fought so hard to get out of captivity from Peter [August, Wes Ramsey] and Victor [Cassadine, Charles Shaughnessy]. “When you get a second chance at life, I know it sounds corny, but my going through my cancer journey a couple of years ago, you feel like you’ve gotten that second chance, and now Drew has that,” the actor continues. Mathison says that Drew’s still carrying around a...

One of General Hospital's most iconic villains will not be staging a comeback, it has been announced.
Soap Opera Digest has confirmed Wes Ramsey is officially out of the daytime soap, with his last appearance airing earlier this month.
Ramsey has appeared in more than 330 episodes as Peter August and was a big villain throughout his time on the show.
Peter was portrayed as the son of the late supervillain Cesar Faison and Dr. Alex Devane, and his final arc culminated with him being pushed down a set of stairs.
While his fate was left up in the air, it sounds as though he's getting an off-screen death because the actor will not be back.
August did a string of heinous things throughout his turn on the series, being ruled responsible for the five-year disappearance of character Jason Morgan and the deaths of characters Drew Cain and Franco Baldwin.

“Days of Our Lives” is the most nominated program of the year at the Daytime Emmys with 27 bids, and it’s the front-runner to win Best Drama Series for the second year in a row according to the combined predictions of hundreds of Gold Derby users who have made their forecasts here in our predictions center. But nothing is set in stone. The Daytime Emmys are decided based on sample episode submissions, which are the great equalizer, so watch out for a big upset.
“Days” submitted an episode in which Abigail (Best Actress nominee Marci Miller) fights against her alternate personality Gabby in her own mind, and then another episode in which Lani (Sal Stowers) imagines the life she might have led while undergoing an emergency C-section.

Dominic Zamprogna has earned his third Daytime Emmy nomination for Best Supporting Actor for playing Detective Dante Falconeri on “General Hospital.” The role brought him previous nominations in this category in 2014 and 2016. The actor exited “Gh” earlier this year after playing the role since 2009, so will Emmy voters send him off with his first win?
These awards are decided by blue ribbon panels viewing sample performance reels from each actor. Although the Daytime Emmys did not release the drama acting reels to the public this year, they have been made available to the press. Below is an overview of Zamprogna’s submission.

You can always count on plenty of plot twists when watching daytime soaps, and that’s also true of the Daytime Emmys, whose 2019 nominations were announced on March 20 live on CBS’s “The Talk.” Check out the full list of nominees here to see who made the cut, and scroll down to find out who didn’t.
These nominations were preceded by the pre-nominations, which were announced in January and included all the actors in each drama category whose work would then be evaluated by blue ribbon panels to decide the nominees and winners. The number-one show in those pre-nominations was “The Young and the Restless,” which had 21 actors cited across seven races. It was shocking then to see that only five of those actors made the final list of nominees.

On January 24 the television academy announced the pre-nominees for the 2019 Daytime Emmys, and “The Young and the Restless” emerged as the top TV drama with 21 citations across seven acting categories. But for the first time the academy has also released pre-nominees in their five acting categories for digital dramas, where YouTube’s “Giants” leads the way. Scroll down to see the complete list of contenders in all 12 races.
The 21 pre-noms for “Y&R” are a big step up from last year, when the series trailed with 15 acting contenders. But it’s not an overwhelming lead. It’s followed closely by “General Hospital” with 20 contenders and “Days of Our Lives” with 19. The lone half-hour soap “The Bold and the Beautiful,” as is usually the case, has the fewest with 13.
