Netflix has debuted the trailer for the dark comedic thriller ‘Bodkin’.
The show follows a motley crew of podcasters who set out to investigate the mysterious disappearance of three strangers in a quaint, coastal Irish town. But once they start pulling at threads, they discover a story much bigger and weirder than they could have ever imagined. As our heroes try to discern fact from fiction — about the case, about their colleagues, and, most painfully, themselves — the series challenges our perception of truth and exposes the stories we tell ourselves to justify our beliefs or validate our fears.
Created by Jez Scharf, the show stars Sobhán Cullen (Dove), Robyn Cara (Emmy), Chris Walley (Sean O’Shea), David Wilmot (Seamus), and Will Forte (Gilbert).
Guest stars include Pom Boyd (Mrs. O’Shea), Fionnula Flanagan (Mother Bernadette), Áine Ní Mhuirí (Sister McDonagh), Charlie Kemp (Damien), Pat Shortt (Darragh), Ger Kelly (Teddy), Denis Conway (Sergeant...

It’s time to get our guessing on, as The Masked Singer is back for another season.
Thirteen mystery celebrities have signed up to sing in wild and wonderful disguises, while the audience try to figure out who’s behind the mask.
Like the previous seasons, Joel Dommett takes on presenting duties, while Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, Rita Ora and Jonathan Ross make up the judging panel.
In the season’s opening episode (Sunday 1 January), Chris Kamara was revealed to be behind the Ghost costume and was the first eliminee.
Meanwhile, contestants Otter, Jellyfish, Cat and Mouse, Phoenix and Knitting progressed to the next stage of the competition.
Since they’ve already given one performance, these characters have provided the judges and viewers with the first hints as to who they really are. But who is Otter?

Get out your magnifying glasses and dust off that notebook, because The Masked Singer is back to turn a nation of viewers into sofa detectives.
Helmed once again by comedian Joel Dommett, the unique competition shows 13 mystery celebrities singing familiar tunes on stage, while dressed up in a costume obscuring who they really are.
Guessing along with the in-studio audience and the viewers at home are the judges: Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, Rita Ora and Jonathan Ross.
In the season’s first episode on New Year’s Day, Ghost was eliminated and was later revealed to be football star Chris Kamara.
Still, there’s a long season ahead, with plenty more costumes to be unmasked. Here’s a guide to the clues and guesses so far.
Who is Otter?
Otter first appeared in episode one with a passionate performance of Jimi Jamison’s “I’m Always Here” – also known as the Baywatch theme tune.

Warning: this review contains spoilers for Doctor Who ‘Eve of the Daleks’
“You go through all those presents and right at the end, tucked away at the bottom, there’s always one stupid old satsuma. Who wants a satsuma?”
Surprisingly prescient words, spoken by the newly-minted Tenth Doctor all those Christmases ago. After all, we as an audience have barely finished unwrapping Doctor Who: Flux, which was teed up to be the biggest, most ambitious, apocalyptic magnum opus of Chris Chibnall’s tenure – the very definition of an overstuffed stocking. By contrast, being back to business as usual and the third New Year’s Day Dalek special in a row, there was every chance that ‘Eve of the Daleks’ was going to turn out to be the satsuma of this year’s run.
How delightful, then, that this holiday outing turned out not just to be one of the tightest...

The Daleks are back. Indeed, it’s almost as if they never went away. The BBC has announced that Doctor Who’s 2022 New Year special is entitled ‘Eve of the Daleks’, and will see the Doctor once again spend January the 1st battling Skaro’s deadliest. Well, tradition is tradition. Both 2019’s ‘Resolution’ and 2021’s ‘Revolution of the Daleks’ put the Daleks front and centre on New Year’s Day, meaning this latest festive episode completes something of a trilogy for outgoing executive producer Chris Chibnall.
The forthcoming festive special was written by Chibnall and directed by Annetta Laufer, and sees the Tardis crew joined by Aisling Bea, Adjani Salmon and Pauline McLynn. Here’s the official story synopsis:
Sarah (Aisling Bea) owns and runs Elf storage, and Nick (Adjani Salmon) is a customer who visits his unit every year on New Year’s Eve. This year, however, their night...

Warning: contains Inside No. 9 spoilers.
Right at the start, Bev told us she was celebrating a birthday. The significance of that indefinite article passed us by until she protested in the final minutes, “I never said it were my birthday.” Bev was celebrating on behalf of Ryan, the baby she’d snatched from his pram two decades ago as a disturbed 10-year-old, and killed, concealing his skeleton inside a child’s doll.
‘Hurry Up and Wait’ is an uncomfortable half-hour with a macabre conclusion, as befits the creators and director of Psychoville (which in Dawn French’s Joy, also featured a grown woman with a sinister attachment to a baby doll, that one following the death of her own son – the dead baby being the sine qua non of subversive comedy.) The episode is an emotionally cold grotesquerie driven by social awkwardness, cringe comedy, and light satire on the acting world.

April 21, 1995 – would that be the day the ice age ended?
Well, no, you can't be that precise about the ice age. But it would be the day that Father Ted debuted on Channel 4.
It's hard to believe, but it's been 20 years since we first met Father Ted Crilly, Father Dougal McGuire, Father Jack Hackett and Mrs Doyle. We came to the Parochial House looking for a cup of tea and a Jaffa cake, and decided to stay longer than Father Stone.
Two decades on, and Graham Linehan and Arthur Matthews' sitcom is still as clever, fresh and fecking hilarious as it was back then. And it's not difficult to see why the show about three priests and their housekeeper trapped on Craggy Island has enjoyed such longevity, or to argue why it is the greatest TV comedy ever made.
It has topped countless 'all-time TV comedy' polls in the past,...

Pauline McLynn joined 'EastEnders' to work with June Brown. The Irish actress makes her on-screen debut in tonight's (12.05.14) episode as Yvonne Cotton - the mother of Dot Branning's mysterious grandson Charlie Cotton (Declan Bennett) - and she admits she was initially reluctant to join the BBC One soap until she learned she would work with the Walford legend. Quizzed about working with June, Pauline said: ''That's why I'm there, I'll be honest with you. Sometimes you get a bit conflicted, thinking, do I want to be in something that's so iconic? And will I ever want to watch it again? Because...

Pauline will be introduced when soap stalwart Dot Branning (June Brown) makes a ''surprising discovery'' and seeks answers about her grandson, played by Declan Bennett. Father Ted co-writer Graham Linehan has revealed that he will never revive the comedy.
Linehan told the Radio Times that his production company Delightful Industries often receives ideas for new episodes.
The series ended in 1998 after just 25 episodes following the death of lead actor Dermot Morgan, who starred alongside Ardal O'Hanlon (Father Dougal) and Pauline McLynn (Mrs Doyle).
Linehan said: "I would never bring Dougal back. Someone suggested to me a way of doing it but I am totally different person now.
"We have said everything we have to about the imaginary world of priests."
Linehan is currently working on family sitcom The Walshes, which will make its debut on BBC Four at the end of March.

Father Ted star Dermot Morgan's former colleagues have spoken of the "terrific stress" the actor was under prior to his 1998 death.
Morgan won over audiences with his portrayal of the disaster-prone but well-meaning Father Ted Crilly in Graham Linehan's critically-acclaimed comedy.
However, the actor died suddenly aged 45 in February 1998, shortly after completing the third and final series of the show.
Morgan's co-stars Frank Kelly, Ardal O'Hanlon and Pauline McLynn told documentary Dermot Morgan - Fearless Funnyman of the high levels of stress the actor put himself under in the run-up to his untimely death.
According to Kelly, who played drunken Father Jack Hackett in the sitcom, Morgan "barely passed the medical tests" to film the third series and was "under terrific stress".
"He was never quite satisfied with what he was doing," Kelly said, according to The Mirror.
"The next thing was going to be infinitely better.

The Pope’s funny hat finds itself between Popes at present. It seems a rather an appropriate time to celebrate the three greatest gifts the Catholic Church have given mankind: Father Jack, Father Dougal and Father Ted. This week all three delightful series of Father Ted have been released individually – face-lifted with charming illustrations by renowned cartoonist Tony Millionaire – so that we may relive the magic all over again.
Father Ted is a show I remember fondly so it was gratifying to go back and find it every bit as good as I remembered. For those who have never had the pleasure (for shame!), Father Ted documents the misadventures of three Catholic priests sharing a small parochial house with their housekeeper on a remote outcrop of rock off the west coast of Ireland. Father Ted Crilly (Dermot Morgan), the show’s antihero, is an amiable blunderer. Father Jack Hackett (Frank Kelly...
