Princess Diana‘s sapphire engagement ring has become synonymous with royal family history. The oversized bauble is now worn by Kate Middleton, who was gifted the ring by Diana’s son, William, in 2011. However, another mammoth mystery ring that belonged to Diana is on another royal finger. Who’s wearing it today?
Princess Diana’s divorce ring is 13 carats
Per Express, Princess Diana was reportedly gifted a 13-carat aquamarine stone by her friend Lucia Flecha de Lima. De Lima, the wife of the former Brazilian ambassador to London, befriended the princess in 1990.
Paul Hird, head of luxury auctions at John Pye Luxury, told the news outlet, “The ring consists of an emerald-cut aquamarine amongst small solitaire diamonds set within 24-carat yellow gold. The aquamarine was gifted to Diana by her friend, Lucia Flecha de Lima, and Asprey commissioned it into a ring in 1996.”

Tobias Menzies has become one of our most reliably excellent actors of late. Classically trained, he had an extensive theatre career in his native England during the noughties and early 2010s before he rose to prominence with roles in “Game of Thrones” and “Outlander.”
Menzies’ profile then increased further thanks to his lauded portrayal of Prince Phillip in “The Crown” and his stock has again risen thanks to his role as another major historical figure in Apple TV’s “Manhunt.” The acclaimed limited series follows the death of President Abraham Lincoln (played by Hamish Linklater) and the subsequent 12-day manhunt for assassin John Wilkes Booth (Anthony Boyle).
Menzies stars as Edwin Stanton, the Secretary of State and personal friend of Lincoln who headed up the hunt for Booth. Menzies proves himself capable of carrying this compelling show entirely on his own. His complex, gruff portrayal of Stanton is what makes the series soar,...

The event is a further rejection of their family member and independent presidential candidate, Robert F. Kennedy Jr.

Robert F. Kennedy claimed President Joe Biden is a more significant threat to democracy than his opponent, Donald Trump.
“A moment ago, you said you – you essentially see Trump and Biden as the same,” CNN news anchor Erin Burnet told Kennedy during an interview.
“But do you really believe that when people talk about the threat to democracy that Trump poses—do you really think that it is an equal evil to Biden?” Burnett then asked him.
“Listen, I make the argument that President Biden is a much worse threat to democracy,” he replied. “And the reason for that is President Biden is the first candidate – the first president in history that has used the federal agencies to censor political speech or censor his opponent.”
“You know, I can say that because I just want a case, a federal court of appeals now before the Supreme Court,” Rfk Jr. stated.

Bill Lomas, who produced the Hollywood Christmas Parade for 42 years, died Friday of cancer at his home in Lakewood, California, publicist Steve Moyer announced. He was 88.
Nicknamed “The Parade King,” Lomas headed Pageantry Productions and produced thousands of parades locally and throughout the state of California beginning in 1966. He also organized Irish fairs and Celtic music festivals around the Southland as well as events in Hawaii and Arizona.
Lomas guided the Hollywood Christmas Parade through 2023; he was ill but determined to work last year’s event, Moyer said. The parade, first held in 1928, runs on the Sunday after Thanksgiving over a three-mile route and is televised.
He and his late second wife, Ronnie, “live and breathe parades,” director Larry Harman told the Los Angeles Times in 1991. “They are a unique couple. Whatever you want, they’ll get it, whether it is a camel, an elephant, anything. They’re your one-stop shopping for parades.

Elvis Presley‘s “If I Can Dream” isn’t just a stunning song. It’s a stunning song that changed the entire arc of the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll‘s career. In retrospect, Priscilla Presley called the song “a blessing.”
Elvis Presley’s ‘Bossa Nova Baby’ and ‘If I Can Dream’ bookended a bad era
Elvis’ “Bossa Nova Baby” is not one of his most famous songs today. It should be more remembered today because its release was a serious demarcation point in his career. The Billboard Book of Number 1 Hits says it reached No. 8 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1963. Afterward, Elvis wouldn’t have a top 10 single for five-and-a-half years, save for a cover of the religious song “Crying in the Chapel.”

Troy, Michigan, is quintessential suburbia: strip malls, banks with drive-thrus, and jewelry stores. Though just 30 minutes outside of Detroit, Troy feels a world away from the Motor City, with its blocks of boarded-up houses and abandoned stores. The disparate environments speak to the systemic inequality that brought me here to talk politics and the bind that Joe Biden has gotten himself into.

Update, 8:30 Pm: After a very brief turn in Charles Manson’s old prison, Danny Masterson has another new home behind bars.
Serving out the opening months of a 30-year sentence, the convicted rapist has been moved to the cushier digs of California’s Men’s Colony in San Luis Obispo. Unlike the harsher conditions and even harsher residents at the Golden State’s high security Corcoran State Prison, where the Helter Skelter leader spent his last two decades before dying in late 2017, the Men’s Colony is a medium and minimum-security facility.
Concerns for “the inmate’s well-being” begot the 47-year-old That 70s Show actor’s move in the last week or so, according to a law enforcement source. In custody since being found guilty on May 31, 2023 of two rapes in his second trial and held in Dtla and then North Kern State Prison, Masterson was moved to Corcoran...

Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who is running as an independent for the White House, leaned heavily on his late uncle’s political legacy with a Super Bowl spot that recreated a vintage TV ad from John F. Kennedy’s 1960 presidential campaign.
Kennedy Jr., who is the son of the late Robert F. Kennedy and nephew of JFK, is pursuing a controversial political agenda that includes advocating against vaccines for Covid and other diseases. He is married to actress Cheryl Hines.
The original spot uses rudimentary animation and stop motion edits that blend photos and headline messages such “Vote Kennedy,” “A Time for Greatness” and “Vote Democratic.” Rfk Jr.’s version featured photos of himself where his uncle had been and other adjustments.
The spot aired during the first half of the NFL championship game between the San Francisoco 49ers and the Kansas City Chiefs.
Rfk Jr. distributed the ad via his social media channels.

Curb Your Enthusiasm star Cheryl Hines has been married to Robert F. Kennedy Jr. since 2014. She’s on her second marriage, while Kennedy is already on his third.
Recently, the couple did a photo shoot for The Hollywood Reporter alongside Conor Kennedy and Kyra Kennedy, who are Kennedy’s children from his second marriage to Mary Richardson Kennedy. They had two other sons, Finn Kennedy and Aiden Kennedy, who died by suicide in 2012.
The blended family also included Hines’ daughter, Catherine Young.
Hines and Kennedy first met in 2004 at a celebrity ski fundraiser for Waterkeeper Alliance, which Kennedy funded. Before their divorces, the two families traveled and skied together.
In one instance, Hines and her ex, Curb star and creator Larry David, attended an event with no intention of skiing, but Kennedy urged them to join.

Let’s not sugarcoat it — 2023 was a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad year for Hollywood.
For starters, obviously, there were the strikes, which for nearly five months turned backlots into ghost towns, costing the industry an estimated $6 billion in lost wages and other collateral economic damage. Then there were the layoffs, beginning at Disney and spreading like an apocalyptic virus to Paramount, Amazon, NBCUniversal, Lionsgate and beyond. Box office, although up a tick from 2022, still lagged far behind pre-pandemic grosses, with even superhero movies like The Marvels tanking. Streamers began pulling back on original content, the incredible shrinking broadcast TV audience continued to miniaturize itself, and there were new fears over the rise of the machines (you know, AI and whether it’ll soon replace your job) — all of which made Hollywood in 2023 feel a bit like one of those doomsday landscapes in Max’s end-of-the-world drama The Last of Us.

Norman Jewison, the multifaceted filmmaker who could direct a racial drama (In the Heat of the Night), stylish thriller (The Thomas Crown Affair), musical (Fiddler on the Roof) or romantic comedy (Moonstruck) with the best of them, has died. He was 97.
Jewison died Saturday at home — his family does not want to specify exactly where — publicist Jeff Sanderson announced.
A seven-time Oscar nominee, Jewison received the prestigious Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award from the Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Sciences in 1999.
Known for his ability to coax great performances out of his actors — 12 of his players were nominated for Oscars, while five of his features made the cut for best picture — the most distinguished film director in Canadian history often used conventional genre plots to take on social injustice.
Improbably, he got his start directing musical specials on television.

As naming Princess Lilibet after Queen Elizabeth II returns to the spotlight, we’re looking back on the birth of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s daughter. What the Duke of Sussex had to say about the now-2-year-old’s birth in Spare and how it differed from that of her older brother, Prince Archie, 4.

The previous year didn’t exactly go how Prince Harry and Meghan Markle had hoped. After a promising start to 2023 with the Duke of Sussex’s autobiography Spare‘s record-breaking sales, things took a turn. The backlash following Harry’s memoir was fierce and gave late-night talk show hosts as well as other comedy writers plenty of material as they were mocked on South Park and Family Guy. Moreover, Meghan’s podcast was canceled by Spotify resulting in the couple losing a multi-million partnership with the platform before a company executive publicly labeled “f****** grifters.” And to cap off 2023, they landed on The Hollywood Reporter’s “Biggest Losers” list.
But at least one expert believes the prince and former Suits star’s brand is still strong because of what Harry doesn’t hold back anymore.

If there were winners out of Fox News’ debate between California’s Gavin Newsom and Florida’s Ron DeSantis tonight, it was Joe Biden, Donald Trump and the Walt Disney Company. If there were losers, it looks to be the Sunshine State governor himself, civility and Sean Hannity.

Jeffrey Donovan will not be returning as Detective Cosgrove for Season 23 of “Law & Order,” Variety has confirmed.
According to TVLine, who was first to report the news, producers are already on the search for a new series regular. The outlet reports sources claim the two parted ways due to creative differences.
Donovan joined the cast in 2021, portraying Detective Cosgrove in Seasons 21 and 22 of the series revival. Cosgrove, a junior detective, joined the NYPD team as the new partner of Det. The thing that strikes you first is her voice.
Lady Bird Johnson recorded 123 hours of audio tapes recounting the ins and outs of her husband Lyndon Johnson’s administration. The recordings form the spine of Dawn Porter’s illuminating new documentary, “The Lady Bird Diaries,” but they don’t just give a chronological sequence of events. These recordings are an artistic achievement in their own right, primary-source history executed with insight and wit, and as a kind of diaristic blank verse. It helps that Johnson had worked as a journalist; she has a way with words that’s deceptive because she’s not (overly) flowery, though her vocabulary is immense. Instead, she’s direct, spare in her descriptions, with her Texas drawl giving musicality to her prose. The space between the drama of her saying “I want to know what is going on, even if to know is to suffer...

It’s been several months since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle last visited New York City. The two royals spent time in New York back in May 2023, and as some might recall, their visit was clouded by the alleged car chase controversy. Harry and Meghan were supposedly involved in a dangerous car chase for roughly two hours after they attended the Ms. Foundation Awards ceremony, but the whole ordeal wound up getting some push back from both the public and those involved. Now, Harry and Meghan are preparing to visit New York City once more.

U.S. Ambassador to Australia Caroline Kennedy‘s son, Jack Schlossberg, is defending his comments slamming cousin Robert F. Kennedy Jr. for his conspiracy theory-filled presidential run.
In May, Schlossberg posted a video in which he declared, “President John F. Kennedy is my grandfather and his legacy is important.”
He spoke in support of Biden’s presidency, “If my cousin, Bobby Kennedy Jr., cared about any of them, he would support Joe Biden, too. Instead, he’s trading in on Camelot, celebrity, conspiracy theories, and conflict for personal gain and fame.”
Schlossberg also stated in his video that Rfk Jr.’s candidacy was “an embarrassment.”
In an appearance on the Today Show, in response to Savannah Guthrie asked Schlossberg: “What led you to do that? Why was it important to you? Are you glad you did it?”
Schlossberg confirmed that he stands by the message of the video.
