Nikki Haley, the former Republican presidential candidate, was mocked online by fellow Republicans for declaring that she would vote for Donald Trump in the 2024 presidential election.
Haley made this announcement and explained why she chose to back Trump during a Q&a session at the Hudson Institute, a conservative think tank in Washington.
“As a voter, I put my priorities on a president who’s going to have the backs of our allies and hold our enemies to account, who would secure the border, no more excuses,” she stated.
“A president who would support capitalism and freedom, a president who understands we need less debt, not more debt,” she added.
“Trump has not been perfect on these policies,” the former Republican presidential candidate admitted. “I’ve made that clear many, many times. But [Joe Biden] has been a catastrophe. So, I will be voting for Trump. Having said that, I...

When Nikki Haley’s campaign announced on Monday that she would be giving a “state of the race” speech at noon Et today, there was immediate speculation that she was about to drop out of the race.
Instead, what she announced was that she was staying in, even though polling shows that she’s on her way to a significant defeat to Donald Trump in Saturday’s South Carolina primary.
“Some of you, perhaps a few of you in the media, came here today to see if I’m dropping out of the race,” she said. “Well, I’m not. Far from it, and I am here to tell you why.”
If her strategy was to get media attention for her speech, it worked: Major cable news networks carried at least parts of it live, and clips quickly trended on social media. The campaign’s cryptic announcement of the speech...

GOP presidential candidate Nikki Haley addressed Donald Trump‘s mocking remarks about her husband and voiced her concerns about his cognitive decline in a new interview.
Trump recently targeted Haley’s husband, Michael Haley, for his absence on the campaign trail due to his current deployment overseas as a National Guardsman.
The former South Carolina governor and U.N. Ambassador under the Trump administration, Haley expressed her resilience in the face of Trump’s attacks on her family and emphasized the broader impact of such disparagement on all members of the military.
“To mock my husband, Michael, is something we can handle,” Haley told the Today Show‘s Craig Melvin. “But when one member of the military is mocked, it reflects on all members of our armed forces.”
Melvin noted in response, “But the reality is, he’s talked about the military for years now in disparaging ways… suckers, losers,...

During a rally in Conway, South Carolina, on Sunday, Donald Trump made a jab at fellow Republican presidential campaign opponent Nikki Haley and her husband.
Haley’s husband, Major Michael Haley of the South Carolina Army National Guard, is currently deployed in the Horn of Africa. During the Saturday rally, Trump questioned Michael’s absence during her campaign, implying the couple may be having marital issues.
Trump told the crowd, “What happened to her husband? Where is he? He’s gone! He knew.”
After Trump’s rally, Haley also had a rally in Gilbert, South Carolina. Haley defended herself and her husband against Trump’s remarks.
“I am proud of Michael’s service,” Halye said. “Every military spouse knows it’s a family sacrifice.”
In an interview with Fox News, Haley criticized Trump’s lack of military service in light of the comments, as well as his previous comments about veterans.

While you probably couldn’t tell just by looking at the contemporary comic-book landscape, there was a point in time when the industry wasn’t dominated by super-heroes. From horror to erotica, comics used to be just as varied as other artforms before masks and spandex became the norm – something that was almost certainly influenced by the conservative comics code authority. Fortunately, there are some talented artists that manage to create genre-defying works of art within the confines of what readers are actually buying.
One such creator is the inimitable Sam Keith, a Michigan-born writer and artist who was a part of Image Comics’ creator-owned-character boom of the 90s. However, Keith’s contribution to Todd McFarlane’s celebration of 90s excess was very different from his fellow artists’, with his The Maxx subverting super-hero tropes and iconography in order to delve into a deeply disturbing and surprisingly human story about...

Twelve years after a controversial "Will & Grace" episode, a bizarre letter of complaint from a "former gay man" has emerged.
Produced in 2000, the episode showed Jack (Sean Hayes) joining a gay reparative ministry in an effort to seduce its "ex-gay" leader Bill (Neil Patrick Harris). After the episode aired, Mike Haley, who is identified as a "former gay man" who was then working at Focus on the Family, reportedly penned a letter to "Will & Grace" story editor Jon Kinnally -- a copy of which has since emerged on the website "Letters of Note."
In the letter, Haley requests a meeting with Kinnally, noting:
"As a former gay man, and now a national spokesman and expert on homosexuality and youth issues for Focus on the Family -- one of the country's largest organizations who, among other things, assists gays and lesbians who desire to be heterosexual -- I know first-hand how...
