Sonja Davies was born on 11 November 1923 in Wallaceville, New Zealand. She was a writer, known for Bread & Roses (1993). She was married to Charlie Davies. She died on 12 June 2005 in New Zealand.
She outlived both of her children; her daughter Penny (whose father was
a US Marine who was killed in action before she was born), succumbed to
motor neurone disease, aged 50; her second child, Mark (from her
marriage to trades unionist Charlie Davies) was killed in a tunnelling
accident in 1978.
