Los Angeles, Aug 6 (Ians) Hollywood star Rebel Wilson took to social media to share that she suffered an accident while filming ‘Bride Hard’ and had to have stitches.
The ‘Pitch Perfect’ star took to her Instagram Stories to show off her face after getting stitches following an incident on the set of her movie currently filming in Savannah, Georgia, reports deadline.com.
“Not the way I wanted to end this movie!” she captioned the post in an expired Instagram Story shared on Thursday. “3 stitches and in hospital last night after a stunt accident at 4 a.m.”
The film, which also stars Jeff Chase, talks about a mercenary group taking a lavish wedding hostage; they have no idea what they are in for as the Maid of Honor is actually a secret agent ready to rain hell-fire upon anyone who would ruin her best friend’s wedding.

Some films can survive the coronavirus better than others. Some — the quieter ones, the documentaries, the character studies — don’t need a big screen or a raucous film-festival audience or a packed house to make their pleasures known. Some can do quite well in front of a living-room audience of one or two.
“Arkansas” is not one of those films.
Of all the films that have been forced to go straight to streaming and VOD because of theater closings and film-festival cancellations due to Covid-19, Clark Duke’s offbeat black comedy might be the one that most misses its original release format. The film was to have premiered in the Austin Convention Center at the South by Southwest Film Festival — and if ever a film was made for a big, rowdy festival crowd with an appreciation for off-the-wall humor, it is this one.

As Kyle (Liam Hemsworth) shares during an early voiceover, organized crime in the backwoods of southern America isn’t very organized. This is good since few of the people in the wholesale drug dealing business of which he’s operated for just a little while are smart. He probably wouldn’t call himself very smart either since he’s content to follow his orders to the letter rather than harbor ambitions about becoming the boss. He’s perceptive in ways that ensure he maintains an upper hand in all situations, but never greedy enough to tip things so far off-balance that he has nowhere to go but down. Kyle sees the angles, parses secrets, and plans ahead in the hopes of staying alive long enough for none of it to matter.
So it’s no surprise he’d end up getting paired with his antithesis in Swin (Clark Duke). Kyle...

"I'm with Frog – I've been ordered to intervene." Lionsgate has debuted the official trailer for an ensemble crime drama titled simply Arkansas, based on the book of the same name. Kyle and Swin are drug couriers who live by the orders of an Arkansas-based drug kingpin named Frog, whom they've never met. But when a deal goes horribly wrong, the consequences are considerably deadly, as Frog mistakenly sees them as a threat to his empire. Arkansas "weaves together three decades of Deep South drug trafficking to explore the cycle of violence that turns young men into criminals, and old men into legends." Starring an ensemble cast including Vince Vaughn as Frog, Liam Hemsworth & Clark Duke as Kyle & Swin, John Malkovich, Vivica A. Fox, Eden Brolin, Michael Kenneth Williams, Brad William Henke, Patrick Muldoon, Jeff Chase, and Barry Primus. This looks mildly entertaining, Malkovich is the best part of the footage.

"In the end, defend." Orion Pictures has released the first trailer for a horror film titled The Domestics, which seems to borrow plenty from The Purge. Here's the pitch for this one: in a terrifying post-apocalyptic world inhabited by gangs divided into deadly factions, a husband & wife race desperately across the country in search of safety. Kate Bosworth and Tyler Hoechlin star, with Sonoya Mizuno, Lance Reddick, David Dastmalchian, Dana Gourrier, Laura Cayouette, Lance E. Nichols, and Jeff Chase. I don't know about everyone else, but I'm a bit tired of these brutal horror films where everyone is out to murder and torture each other. Give me something more original than that, please. If that is your thing, have at it. Here's the first official trailer (+ new poster) for Mike P. Nelson's The Domestics, direct from YouTube: In a terrifying post-apocalyptic world inhabited by gangs divided into deadly factions,...

This is the Pure Movies review for The Mechanic, directed by Simon West and starring Jason Statham, Ben Foster, Tony Goldwyn, Donald Sutherland, Jeff Chase, Mini Anden, James Logan and Eddie J. Fernandez. This may well be a remake of the classic 1972 Michael Winner film that had the rather grander Us title of Killer of Killers, and starred mean machine Charles Bronson, but when The Mechanic has Jason Statham in the lead, it’s another Transporter film, whichever way you (cynically) look at it. Good news for Statham fans, and fans of shoot/blow-em-up kung-fu-lery because it has all those exciting and well-staged elements done in an erratic and on-the-clock fashion, leaving out important plot-developments along the way, as though they’re irrelevant because the Statham stunt choreography and physique will distract any nitpickers.

Chicago – It wouldn’t be a Jason Statham film if in it he was just fixing cars. In “The Mechanic,” his profession is fixing people. And by fixing, like “The Transporter” he’s again cracking skulls.
Rating: 2.5/5.0
But if you’re going to ask audiences to buy into a remake of the 1972 film by the same name with Charles Bronson originating Jason Statham’s role as Arthur Bishop, a film needs to make it less obvious that it’s just modernizing a 1970s flick for the purposes of making new money on a preexisting script.
While “The Mechanic” takes a page from all other hitman movies and employs every trick in the contract killer book we’ve already seen, the one redeeming difference is Statham’s inner dialogue and his cool, calculated demeanor. Sure, this Jason Statham is again a killer with no back story, but this time he’s also a master of restraint,...

What's It About? In this remake of the 1972 Charles Bronson shoot-'em-up, Jason Statham is a veteran hitman who teaches the ropes to Foster, son of Statham's own late mentor (Sutherland). Soon, the older pro and the newbie realize they've been betrayed by The Company; now it's Payback Time.
Why Should You See It? After more then a decade of making hard-boiled action fare without smiling once, the taciturn Staham is about as close as we're going to get to an heir to Bronson. Early buzz suggests that the movie is light on plot,...

Hey gang! Check out this awesome new red band trailer for Jason Statham's new film The Mechanic! The movie was directed by Simon West, and also stars Ben Foster, Donald Sutherland, Tony Goldwyn, Jeff Chase and Mini Anden.
The Mechanic looks like it going to be a ridiculously badass action film! I love this new red band trailer, it shows off a lot of insane fun moments of the movie, hopefully it's not all of the the good parts. It was enough to get me even more excited to see this movie though. It looks like Statham at the top of his game.
Here's the Official Synopsis:
Arthur Bishop (Jason Statham) is a 'mechanic' - an elite assassin with a strict code and unique talent for cleanly eliminating targets. It's a job that requires professional perfection and total detachment, and Bishop is the best in the business. But...

IGN have posted a brand new red band trailer for CBS Films’ upcoming action-thriller The Mechanic.
Directed by Simon West, The Mechanic stars Jason Statham, Ben Foster, Donald Sutherland, Christa Campbell, Tony Goldwyn, Nick Jones and Jeff Chase.

Arthur Bishop (Statham) is a ‘mechanic’ – an elite assassin with a strict code and unique talent for cleanly eliminating targets. It’s a job that requires professional perfection and total detachment, and Bishop is the best in the business. But when his mentor and close friend Harry (Sutherland) is murdered, Bishop is anything but detached. His next assignment is self-imposed – he wants those responsible dead. His mission grows complicated when Harry’s son Steve (Foster) approaches him with the same vengeful goal and a determination to learn Bishop’s trade. Bishop has always acted alone but he can’t turn his back on Harry’s son.

Check out new movie poster for the upcoming action remake, The Mechanic, starring Jason Statham, Ben Foster, Donald Sutherland, Jeff Chase, Christa Campbell, Liam Ferguson, Eddie J. Fernandez and J.D. Evermore.
A remake of the 1972 Charles Bronson pic, The Mechanic finds The Statham as the unlikely-named Arthur Bishop. While he sounds like he should be a frustrated house-husband in an Australian soap, he’s actually a top hit man (“mechanic” is a slang term for the job, which involves fixing slightly more morally complicated problems than a worn fan belt.)
Arthur does his best work alone, but then, after someone close to him is taken out, he finds an apprentice in the man’s son, Steve (Ben Foster). And soon the pair is on a revenge mission against those responsible. Cue lots of shooting, lots of explosions and lots of Statham growling “I’m coming for you!” in his inimitable style.

Warning! If you’ve never seen the Charles Bronson original, I recommend you don’t click to watch this international trailer for Jason Statham’s remake of “The Mechanic”. Why? Because the trailer’s final 10 seconds basically gives away the movie’s plot twist. So you’ve been warned. For those still reading, “The Mechanic” stars Statham as a retiring hitman who agrees to train a young, ambitious protege played by Ben Foster in the fine art of killing. Obviously, as these things invariably go, retirement doesn’t come very easily for our hero. But hey, at least he gets to have fun with a stripper. “The Mechanic” is directed by Simon West, who knows a thing or two about blowing shit up for cinema, having directed “Con Air” and “Tomb Raider”. Co-starring Christa Campbell, Donald Sutherland, and Jeff Chase. Go see a mechanic December 15, 2010. I don’t think this...

A TV stuntman is lucky to be alive after actor Jimmy Smits stabbed him for real during a fight scene for TV show Dexter.
Smits grabbed a real knife instead of a prop knife during shooting and plunged it into action man Jeff Chase.
Chase was only saved by a piece of plastic placed over his heart - which Smits miraculously hit.
He says, "For the scene, I was bound in Saran Wrap, duct tape over my mouth. I couldn't say a thing as I saw Jimmy grab at the knife. He picked up the real one by pure mistake. It was a mean looking knife.
"I heard fellow actor Michael C. Hall yelling at Jimmy to stop - but it was too late. I felt the thud in my chest. I didn't have on a metal breast plate like a lot of actors do in a scene like that.
"Instead I had a piece of acrylic clear plastic about the size of a Post-it note over my heart. It was a quarter of an inch thick and not attacked. In eight out of 10 takes with the prop knife, Jimmy had missed the plastic. But by a miracle, an act of God, the knife landed at the very edge of the plastic.
"I really thought I'd been stabbed in the heart, but I didn't have a scratch. Jimmy was devastated and couldn't stop apologising. I told him, I felt more sorry for him than me."...
