It's probably fair to say that when "The Fugitive" came out in 1993, people weren't exactly demanding a big screen version of the '60s show; even the director and star said they'd never seen it. Even so, the gripping, intelligent thriller for grown-ups became a box office smash and earned an Oscar nomination for Best Picture, the first TV adaptation to compete for the big prize.
The movie was a satisfyingly old-school nail-biter with its fair share of spectacular set pieces, but the highlight was the battle of wits between two very human opponents. Harrison Ford, just a few years after riding into the sunset as Indiana Jones, played a far more down-to-earth protagonist as a grieving doctor framed for his wife's murder, while Tommy Lee Jones won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor as the dogged lawman on his trail.

When it gets personal for McGarrett, watch out!
McGarrett turned up the heat when a survivor of the USS Arizona got killed by a band of bank robbers on Hawaii Five-0 Season 7 Episode 22.
This episode effectively showcased McGarrett's heart as he sought justice for the granddaughter of that survivor.
After all, Lexi got to have her grandfather for all his long life, while McGarrett never knew his grandfather and namesake, Steven, who was killed at Pearl Harbor.
Still, he obviously bonded with her.
It saddened me to see an award-winning actor, Hal Holbrook, gone after one live scene (and a second on video). I fondly remember him and wife Dixie Carter on Designing Women, and he was great as a feisty senior on NCIS: Los Angeles Season 8 Episode 16.
But there wouldn't have been a case that resonated so much with McGarrett without that happening, so I get it.

Major Crimes will continue to be TNT's longest-running drama.
It was just renewed for a sixth season by the network.
The successful series predates current network head Kevin Reilly and a time when the net focused on procedural fare.
While the focus may be changing at the network, there's no denying the focus of TNT's audience.
This past summer, Major Crimes reached an average of 10 million viewers per episode across TNT's multiple platforms and finished the third quarter ranking as one of cable's Top 10 dramas with adults 18-49.
Initially launched as a follow-up to TNT's long-running hit The Closer, Major Crimes quickly established itself as a must-see drama in its own right.
In its first season, it ranked as cable's #1 new drama of 2012, and it has remained among the most-watched dramas on cable ever since.
Major Crimes centers on a special squad within the Lapd that deals with high-profile or particularly sensitive crimes.

It’s time for Detective Amy Sykes to come clean, as TNT’s Major Crimes wraps its five-episode “bonus” arc and brings Season 4 to a close.

In the above sneak peek from “Hindsight: Part 5” (airing Monday at 9/8c), Raydor and Tao (played by Mary McDonnell and Michael Paul Chan) are reviewing a curious mishandling of evidence and how it relates to the infamous Mark Hickman, ultimately pointing fingers at Sykes (Kearran Giovanni), who has been collaborating with the disgraced former detective on the side.
How can Sykes possibly reel in Raydor’s ire?...

He’s got a face and has played characters you’ve always known but you can never place his name. This week’s “That Guy” actor of the week is Michael Paul Chan. You might recognize Chan from The Closer on TNT. And most recently he appeared on the show Major Crimes from 2012-2015. But where do I see Chan in my memories? I’ll never forget him as Data’s dad in Goonies and when he uttered the line “Unbeatable!” in the movie Maverick. That line still remains one of my favorite all time obscure lines in any movie. He was also Mr. Chong

When it comes to making features like this one, i love the idea of coming up with my own personal “100 Great Kung Fu Movies” of all time. It is tough choosing just 100 because you know there are many more great Kung Fu movies that are not on the list.
I have decided that to make the list, a movie must have a few hand to hand moments during fight scenes in the movies chosen. If for example its mainly sword play with one fight scene hand to hand it won’t make the list. Its old school “style” Kung Fu movies, not modern day settings.
I understand everyone will have their own personal favorites and some may not agree with my list and that’s fine because it’s nice to have different opinions on this genre which keeps it fresh and alive when having good debates.
Anyway, thank you...

TNT’s ensemble crime show Major Crimes is back for a third season – including all 19 episodes along with fun bonus features. Bailey, who steals almost every scene he is in); Lieutenant Andy Flynn (Tony Denison, who can give Bailey a run for his money); Lieutenant Mike Tao (Michael Paul Chan); Detective Julio Sanchez (Raymond […]...

The third season release of Major Crimes is hitting May 26th, and I’ve got your opportunity to win one of three copies of the DVD!
The show, a spin-off of The Closer, has been doing well since it premiered, and the third season was the #3 scripted drama on basic cable.
Moreover, despite not kicking off all that well, it’s a show that has grown into itself, and found a more solid base of existence. The quality has grown in many respects, and the cases were far more interesting in the third season.
Mary McDonnell seems more comfortable, due in large part to the writing giving her a broader base of character to work with.
If you aren’t caught up, now is the perfect chance to get ready for the fourth season.
Take a look at more info on the season, and enter to win your copy!
