If a crisis erupts on board a commercial aircraft, you want to know the flight attendants are prepared to handle any desperate situation. Chris, Wes, and Clear, the cabin crew in the comedic short Cock N’ Bull 3, are not those guys. They’re more likely to be the cause of an emergency than the ones resolving it.
Wes (Danny Rhodes) provides a running stream of non-faa approved commentary over the Pa system. Chris (Nathan Adloff) locks eyes with an older man within minutes of takeoff. Later, he tumbles out of the forward lavatory with his shirt off, apparently having just joined the Mile High Club with his gentleman friend. Clear (Pete Zias) declares, “I wanna get fucked in there!”
Things only get more chaotic on the ill-fated red eye from L.A. to New York, after the pilot mysteriously becomes incapacitated. Cock N’ Bull 3, directed by Adloff and co-written by Adloff and Rhodes,...

A veritable army of Disney Channel stars are reuniting for a very un-Disney project.
Matthew Scott Montgomery (“So Random!”), Debby Ryan, Alyson Stoner, Kevin Chamberlin (“Jessie”), Tim Bagley, Shayne Topp (“So Random!”) and Damien Haas (“So Random!”) have all signed on to appear in an upcoming LGBTQ+ horror thriller directed by Allisyn Snyder.
Titled “Howdy, Neighbor!,” the upcoming film is written by Montgomery, and is formatted as a “screenlife” film, with all of the footage occurring on computer screens. Montgomery stars as Benjamin, a young queer millenial actor living in West Hollywood who was once a famous child actor. When a new neighbor Chase (Grant Jordan) moves across the hall and reveals himself as a fan, Benjamin begins investigating the oddly familiar man with his best friend Harley (Ryan). Aside from the former Disney Channel stars, the supporting cast also includes Sterling Sulieman, Adam Faison, Greer Grammer and Kimmy Shields.

I’m sure when you first heard that TikTok was entering the Emmy race, you wondered, “Wait — is that guy drinking Ocean Spray cranberry juice while skating down the highway and grooving to Fleetwood Mac even eligible?” Well, no. But viral hit “Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical” has been given the green light to submit, and now TikTok is aiming to join YouTube, Facebook, Snapchat and other social media outlets that have entered the awards competition once just reserved for good ol’ fashioned television.
“Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical” began life as a video by user Emily Jacobsen, who performed an ode to Remy the rat from the animated Disney film. Soon, other TikTok users joined in — most notably, Daniel Mertzlufft, who gave Jacobson’s song the full Alan Menken treatment, complete with orchestra score and 20 vocalists. Well, it's 2021, and one of the biggest headlines of the new year is the success of Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical. And you know what? I'm here for it. The production, which is a byproduct of a TikTok trend from last fall, debuted on Friday, starring Tituss Burgess as Remy, Andrew Barth Feldman as Linguini, Kevin Chamberlin as Gusteau, Adam Lambert as Emile, André De Shields as Ego, and Ashley Park as Colette, among other notable talents. The virtual prefilmed show was organized by Seaview Productions, and the proceeds from ticket sales will benefit The Actors Fund, which helps support entertainment professionals. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the musical has raised over $1 million as of Jan. 2.
The official Twitter of Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical also shared the news, writing: "You did it! You raised over $1 million to benefit @TheActorsFund! But we aren't done yet. Tickets are still on sale all weekend long on @TodayTix.

What began as a “hey, kids, let’s put on a show!” by some ambitious TikTok users grew into a million-dollar fundraiser, kicking off 2021 with some much-needed cheer. Yes, “Ratatouille: The TikTok Musical” made us all forget about the headache-inducing year that passed and put a smile on our faces (even if for only a few minutes). Here’s a look at the stellar cast of the virtual concert and the animated counterparts they played in the 2007 Pixar film.
Tituss Burgess as Remy, an average rat with very big dreams of becoming a chef. Patton Oswald voiced him in the film.
Andrew Barth Feldman as Alfredo Linguini, a young man who failed as a cook and is as kindhearted as he is clumsy. Lou Romano voiced him in the film.
Ashley Park as Colette Tatou, the only female in the male-dominated world of fine cuisine, which has made her tough and assertive.

When Broadway producer Greg Nobile heard Gayle King singing the words to “Ode To Remy” on The Morning Show some weeks ago, he knew a sort of leap had been taken. “I thought this thing that started online has not only become pop culture,” he recalls, “it’s become, like, culture culture.”

There's a fine line when it comes to straight actors playing LGBTQ+ roles. When it's an important public or historical figure, there's no question they should be portrayed by someone from the LGBTQ+ community. When it's a fictional role like Barry Glickman from The Prom, there's more of a gray area. That said, James Corden should not have been cast as Barry in Netflix's adaptation of the Broadway musical due to his over-the-top and, at times, offensive portrayal.
While The Prom features a heartwarming story about a girl just wanting to take her girlfriend to prom with the help of a few down-and-out Broadway actors, Corden's casting taints the message it's trying to say.
The issue with Corden's casting isn't his talent level; he's a Tony Award-winning actor who can sing and act. The issue is that Corden takes the role of Barry, who is...

How perfect. Netflix, The Actors Fund, Broadway Cares and American Film Institute gave “The Prom” a virtual world premiere screening on Sunday that looked a lot like the way millions of people will experience this very special film after it debuts on Netflix Dec. 11 this holiday season. With a group. “The Prom” is that kind of movie that will be watched by lots of chums and family members together, who won’t be able to resist hanging around afterward to laugh, cheer, talk about their favorite moments and celebrate its joyous spirit of inclusion and love delivered in a hugely entertaining film of Oscar-worthy perfection.
But this premiere screening group wasn’t just any gang. The webcam roundup included director Ryan Murphy and his stars Meryl Streep, Nicole Kidman, James Corden, Kerry Washington, Keegan-Michael Key, Andrew Rannells, Jo Ellen Pellman, Ariana DeBose and Kevin Chamberlin in a serious discussion and...

Netflix has debuted the full trailer for Ryan Murphy’s film adaptation of ‘The Prom’ starring Meryl Streep and Nicole Kidman.
Dee Dee Allen (Meryl Streep) and Barry Glickman (James Corden) are New York City stage stars with a crisis on their hands: their expensive new Broadway show is a major flop that has suddenly flatlined their careers.
Meanwhile, in small-town Indiana, high school student Emma Nolan (Jo Ellen Pellman) is experiencing a very different kind of heartbreak: despite the support of the high school principal (Keegan-Michael Key), the head of the PTA (Kerry Washington) has banned her from attending the prom with her girlfriend, Alyssa (Ariana DeBose).
When Dee Dee and Barry decide that Emma’s predicament is the perfect cause to help resurrect their public images, they hit the road with Angie (Nicole Kidman) and Trent (Andrew Rannells), another pair of cynical actors looking for a professional lift.

The extravagant ensemble cast includes Jo Ellen Pellman, Meryl Streep, James Corden, Nicole Kidman, Keegan-Michael Key, Andrew Rannells, Ariana Debose, Tracey Ullman, Kevin Chamberlin, Mary Kay Place, Nathaniel J. "Remy the Ratatouille, the rat of all my dreams." That line has been stuck in my head for weeks as I've scrolled through my TikTok feed, increasingly stumbling upon clips of a Pixar-themed crowdsourced collaboration. Yes, Ratatouille, the Musical is very much a thing online right now (it was even acknowledged by Disney's official accounts) and I had the chance to chat with the two people who started it all.
It all begins with Emily Jacobsen, a 26-year-old teacher with a talent for creating songs inspired by animated characters. She told Popsugar she was "deep into quarantine" in August when she read an article about the Ratatouille attraction coming to Walt Disney World. As a huge Disney fan, the news stuck with her and she found herself humming a song about Remy, the rat with a penchant for cooking. "I thought this [video] was pretty funny and pretty catchy," she said.

The original production of Little Shop of Horrors first debuted Off-Off-Broadway in 1982 and then suddenly Seymour and company made their way to the Orpheum Theater for an Off-Broadway production that ran for five years. A hybrid of sci-fi and comedy, the musical about a carnivorous plant looking to take over the world became a cult classic spawning numerous productions and had a film adaptation starring Rick Moranis and Ellen Greene in 1986. After almost four decades, it has still retained its cult status with its R&b flair and irreverent, yet earnest lyrics and the new production at the Pasadena Playhouse continues the tradition with a fresh, inclusive iteration of the musical favorite.

Updated, 11 Am: Former Jessie star Debby Ryan has posted a video tribute in memory of co-star Cameron Boyce, her first response since Boyce’s death Sunday at the age of 20. She re-posted a video of a speech Boyce gave at the Thirst Project’s 9th Annual Thirst Gala in 2018. “It’s crazy. We can tweet whatever we want and we can use social media and Instagram and make the world a better place instead of a worse one, which so many people use it for,” Boyce said in the video-taped speech. “But we need to use our resources and what we have… we’re all in here wearing suits. We need to use what we have to make the world a better place for other people… other people, people who need us!” Boyce was honored with The Pioneering Spirit Award at the Gala. Ryan has not released any further statements on Boyce’s death.

Gravitas Ventures released this horror film on VOD this week and there's a trailer to go along with it, in case anyone might be interested in seeing this.
