With 25 seasons under its belt, The Voice has seen its fair share of coaching rotations, especially because multiple seasons of the singing competition show air per year. It took American Idol twice the amount of time to reach 20 seasons, but so far, those two singing competition shows haven’t overlapped in terms of judges and coaches. The original four figures to shape the show’s trajectory were country singer Blake Shelton, Maroon 5 front man Adam Levine, “Fighter” singer Christina Aguilera and “Forget You” singer CeeLo Green.
Other celebrities with music backgrounds have cycled through the four red spinning chairs since the show began in 2011. The singers who have judged have also covered a wide range of genres from pop to country to rap and more.
Season 26’s panel has been established as Reba McEntire, who has been with the show since Season 24, veteran coach Gwen Stefani and newcomers Snoop Dogg and Michael Bublé.

The Voice dropped some big news for avid fans of the hit singing competition show.
Over the years, some pretty great judges have been appointed, including Kelly Clarkson, Christina Aguilera, Usher, Blake Shelton, and, most recently, Reba McEntire.
However, one of the original coaches who launched The Voice over a decade ago is back to reclaim his chair and another win in the books.
No, we aren’t talking about Cee Lo Green, though that would be an exciting twist for future show seasons.
Adam Levine will return to the stage and his rightful spot in the coach’s chair for the blind auditions next spring.
That’s right. After revealing he was leaving the show for good and would not come back for future seasons, Adam is returning to the show he helped launch over a decade ago.

Well, well, well. We certainly didn’t have “Adam Levine returns to ‘The Voice'” on our Bingo card. Did you?
Levine, one-fourth of the original “Voice” U.S. coaching panel, is set to return to his big red chair … but there’s a catch. He won’t appear in Season 26, due out in Fall 2024. Instead, he will return in Season 27, scheduled for Spring 2025.
See Carson Daly (‘The Voice’ host and producer) on longevity, Emmys and succeeding ‘in a post-Blake Shelton world’
The Maroon 5 front-man was part of the iconic Season 1 coaching panel on NBC with Blake Shelton, Christina Aguilera and CeeLo Green. Levine left the show after 16 seasons, though he later popped up to taunt his “frenemy” Shelton, who remained in his chair until the end of Season 23.
Levine’s departure in 2019 caught everyone off-guard as he was expected to return to the judging panel in the following cycle.

Netflix made some noise in the unscripted world when it hired Jeff Gaspin, the former NBCUniversal chief, as its new defacto reality boss earlier this year.
The hire ostensibly signaled that the streamer wanted to step up its unscripted efforts and take on the broadcast networks when it comes to buying big entertainment formats.
During his time as NBC’s head of alternative entertainment, he developed series including The Apprentice, The Biggest Loser and Deal or No Deal and after his promotion, his last act as Chairman of NBC Universal Television was buying The Voice, which other than The Masked Singer, was arguably the last major entertainment format to breakthrough on the broadcast nets.
Netflix is now doubling down on efforts to find its version of The Voice.
“The difference from the past is we want to focus on bigger formats, more of what you would call broadcast-style shows versus the cable style shows.

Network executives once came to the upfronts on a mission to get advertisers excited about a handful of new series coming in the fall. This year, TV’s big players took a T-shirt cannon approach.
Every one of the major presentations during the May 13-15 sprint in midtown Manhattan — NBCUniversal, Fox, Disney, Amazon, Warner Bros. Discovery and Netflix — emphasized the breadth of the company’s content offerings. Call it the everything-everywhere-all-at-once strategy for the streaming age.
As always, common themes emerged across the week. “Connections” was the buzziest of buzzwords used by executives pitching their hearts out from the stage. Without question, the song of Upfronts ’24, the one heard at most if not all events, was Beyoncé’s “Texas Hold ’Em.”
After sorting through the firehose of shows and spin, here are a few trends that stood out this year.
1) Star-Power Surge
Last year, the writers strike kept boldface names from appearing at the upfronts.

The Voice is celebrating 25 seasons on NBC with the Season 25 finale, and it is remembering all the coaches who spun their chairs throughout the years.
Finale night started with a throwback performance from Og coaches Christina Aguilera, Adam Levine, CeeLo Green, and Blake Shelton. The quartet performed Gnarls Barkley’s “Crazy,” which Green co-wrote, during the premiere episode of The Voice back in 2011.
After the performance, host Carson Daly read the names of the coaches who have appeared on The Voice over the past 25 seasons.
Blake Shelton has been the longest-running coach, spinning his chair for 23 seasons. Adam Levine was featured as a coach for the show’s first 16 seasons. Christina Aguilera was a permanent fixture in the first three seasons. She would then take a break and return for three more seasons, in Seasons 5, 8, and 10.

“The Voice” is a presentation of MGM Television, Warner Bros.
The announcement was made as part of the NBCUniversal upfront presentation to advertisers on Monday in New York. Snoop took the stage at Radio City Music Hall to announce he was joining the show before introducing Bublé. Bublé (briefly) tried his hand at rapping before launching into a performance of “You’re Nobody ’til Somebody Loves You.”
Snoop and Bublé will join returning coaches Reba McEntire and Gwen Stefani in Season 26. This marks McEntire’s third consecutive season on the show and Stefani’s eighth. McEntire is also set to star in the NBC comedy series “Happy’s Place,” which was picked up to series earlier in May.
