98 Degrees are one of the biggest boy bands of the ’90s and early ’00s!
The group, also known as 98°, included four vocalists – Jeff Timmons, brothers Nick and Drew Lachey, and Justin Jeffre – who came together independently in Los Angeles before being signed by a major record label.
The troupe went on to achieve massive success, selling over 10 million records worldwide with smash hits like “I Do (Cherish You),” “Because of You,” “The Hardest Thing” and “Thank God I Found You.”
Since their debut on the music scene, the members of 98 Degrees have all gone on to achieve big things in their own right, and they’re racked up substantial wealth on their own.
We’ve rounded up all of the members of 98 Degrees, and ranked them according to their estimated net worth.

Pop group 98 Degrees is crediting Taylor Swift as the one who inspired them to rerecord their masters.
The boy band, comprised of Jeff Timmons, Nick Lachey, Drew Lachey, and Justin Jeffre, recently told E! News that they have been in the studio working on a new project after their tour wrapped.
“We’re gonna rerecord five of our classic hits in kind of the rerecord/get-your-masters-back move,” Nick said. “And then we’re also gonna have five new songs as well, and a new single coming out at the top of the year.”
Jeff noted that the group has been talking about doing it for some time because “there have been opportunities for our songs. And you know, you have these battles with the label.” But it was the global pop star who actually pushed them to make the jump.

Jeff Timmons, Justin Jeffre and brothers Nick and Drew Lachey joked about it when asked “how annoyed” they felt about their old rivals’ announcement of their first new song in 20 years.
“Stole the thunder,” Nick laughed, but Jeffre quickly added, “It’s a boy band universe.”
In fact, all four members of the band expressed their excitement at both boy bands being reunited.
“When one succeeds, we all succeed. Because we’re all kind of like us, Nsync, Backstreet Boys, we’re all clumped into the same, into the same kind of pile there.

The recording industry has certainly transformed since 98 Degrees came onto the scene 25 years ago, but one thing remains the same: "There's still some great music being made," Nick Lachey tells Popsugar. Ahead of a 98 Degrees reunion concert at all-inclusive resort Beaches Turks & Caicos in late August, the R&b group chat with Popsugar about nostalgia's impact on their revival, all things '90s boy bands, and what members Nick and Drew Lachey, Jeff Timmons, and Justin Jeffre have been up to since they first started adorning posters.
Last summer, the band released new music for the first time in eight years: an upbeat track called "Where Do You Wanna Go" that was "great for the moment." "Everybody had been in lockdown for so long, and when things were opening back up, we thought the song was incredibly catchy and just represented fun," Jeffre says. "Everybody was ready to get back out and have some fun.

(Warning: This post contains spoilers for the Season 5 finale of Fox’s “The Masked Singer.”)
Piglet was crowned the Season 5 winner of “The Masked Singer” tonight and unmasked to reveal singer, actor and TV personality Nick Lachey as the man inside the pink costume. But Lachey said his kids have known who he was ever since the season premiere on March 10 — unlike his clueless 98 Degrees bandmates.
“You know what, I don’t know if they just weren’t watching or what. But my brother [Drew Lachey] kind of heard about it and chimed in,” Lachey told TheWrap, noting that if Drew, Jeff Timmons and Justin Jeffre did figure out he was competing on “The Masked Singer,” none of them pushed him on the matter.
“But the funniest reaction, I think, was my kids,” Lachey continued. “We were watching the premiere episode and I was holding my daughter. I think I...

On “The Masked Singer” finale on May 26, the last three celebrities in the competition will perform one more time as the Black Swan, Chameleon and Piglet. At the end of the hour, one of them will be named the winner of season 5 of this hit reality series. We’ve rewatched every one of the 10 episodes that led up to this final one and are absolutely convinced that we know who is hiding inside these costumes. Keep reading if you dare for all of “The Masked Singer” spoilers for the season 5 finale, including the real name of the Piglet
Of the three finalists, the Piglet is the best all-around performer. He made it to the final three after wowing the four judges with his cover of “Bruises” by Lewis Capaldi on the May 19 semi-final. That wasn’t a surprise given how well he had done in his previous appearances. The Piglet...

The Piglet proved himself to be the most versatile performer on “The Masked Singer” with his appearance on last week’s quarterfinal. He started out singing opera before transitioning into “Superstition” by Stevie Wonder. This double play won over the four judges, who put the Piglet through to the May 19 semifinal. They are right about his talent and, among their many wrong guesses, they might finally be right about his real name.
We nailed his name the first time he sang back in Week 2 when he covered the Dan + Shay hit “Speechless.” Since then he has gone from strength to strength starting with “Good to Be Alive (Hallelujah)” by Andy Grammer in Week 4 followed by “7 Years” by Lukas Graham in Week 6, “The Pretender” by Foo Fighters in Week 7 and “Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now”) by Phil Collins in Week 8. After nailing his cover of the Phil Collins classic “Against All Odds (Take a Look at Me Now”) on the Week 8 episode, the Piglet heads into the May 12 quarterfinals as the frontrunner to win season 5 of “The Masked Singer.” We’ve been a fan of his since he made his debut in Week 2 with his version of the Dan + Shay hit “Speechless.”
We’ve been sure about the real name of the Piglet since that first appearance. We concur with the four judges that the Piglet got his start in a boy band. However we don’t think he is Lance Bass, Brian Littrell, Aj McLean or Kevin Richardson.
Each time he has performed since, we became even more convinced we were right with our guess about the Piglet’s true identity. We went back and watched all his performances including “Good to Be Alive (Hallelujah)” by Andy Grammer...

The Piglet has been one of the favorites to win season 5 of “The Masked Singer” since he made his first appearance back in Week 2. He rocked the room then with his cover of the Dan + Shay hit “Speechless.” In Week 4 he nailed his cover of “Good to Be Alive (Hallelujah)” by Andy Grammer. The following week he did it again with “7 Years” by Lukas Graham. Then in Week 7, he impressed the four judges by shifting genres so seamlessly and delivering yet again with a performance of “The Pretender” by Foo Fighters.
When it comes to guessing the true identity of the Piglet, the judges are on the right track with their thinking that he got his start in a boy band. However we disagree with them that the Lance Bass, Aj McLean or Kevin Richardson. We’ve gone back and rewatched all of his appearances and clues packages.

With every appearance on “The Masked Singer,” the Piglet has moved one step closer to winning the Golden Mask for season 5. On April 21, he wowed us once again with his change-of-pace performance of “The Pretender” by Foo Fighters. The four judges were equally impressed with his cover of this rock classic. We agree with them that the Piglet got his start in a boy band, but we don’t think he is Lance Bass, Aj McLean or Kevin Richardson.
In advance of the April 28 special sing-along episode of “The Masked Singer,” we’ve gone back and looked at all four of Piglet’s performances. Talk about a Flashback Friday!
Nick Lachey shared a hilarious photo from his boy band days in 98 Degrees on Instagram Friday. “Found this on an article titled ’25 boy band shoots that went horribly wrong.’ Do you think it was the leopard print chair or the overalls?” the singer asked his over 500,000 followers.
The ever-so ’90s ensemble is a stark contrast to Lachey’s present day wardrobe – except perhaps for his sequinned outfits from his season on Dancing with the Stars months ago when he competed on the ABC dancing competition with his wife Vanessa Lachey.

The musician—who appeared sans bandmates Justin Jeffre, Drew Lachey and Jeff Timmons—didn't shade more successful acts like New Kids on the Block, Boys II Men, Backstreet Boys or 'N Sync. Instead, he chose a more obscure British quintet: 5ive. To be fair, it was host Andy Cohen who first suggested 5ive was the bottom of the barrel. "It's so funny you call them out, said Lachey," who hosts Vh1's Morning Buzz. "That's exactly who I was gonna say." According to the 40-year-old...

Before One Direction and The Wanted, there were the real boy bands. And Friday morning, New Kids on the Block, 98 Degrees and Boyz II Men dropped by Today and gave a little preview of their upcoming adventure, "The Package Tour." Donnie Wahlberg, Danny Wood, Jordan Knight, Jonathan Knight and Joey McIntyre performed a medley of "Step by Step" and "You Got the Right Stuff." The 98 Degrees boys—Nick Lachey, Justin Jeffre, Jeff Timmons and Drew Lachey—performed their classic hit, "The Hardest Thing" while the Boys II Men crew was all about "Motownphilly." These guys have still got it!

Looks like you better get used to the 98 Degrees "Package" because these guys plan to stick around for a long time.
Justin Jeffre of 98 Degrees said the group is here to stay, during an interview from rehearsals for "The Package Tour" with 98 Degrees, New Kids on the Block and Boyz II Men.
"We're definitely thinking long-term," he said. "We never intended to actual break up. I think we've all had plenty of time to step away and do other things. I think it's definitely something we want to continue with."
In the summer of 2012, Jeffre, Nick and Drew Lachey and Jeff Timmons -- the founding members of 98 Degrees -- reunited for the first time since 2002. Although some fans may had given up on a reunion by that time, Jeffre said getting back together was always in the cards.

Get ready to feel old. Jeff Timmons of 98 Degrees turns the big 4-0 today! Just think we'd never have "I Do (Cherish You)" without Timmons, who's the founding member of the band. Jeff was studying at Kent State when he decided to drop out and move to Los Angeles in hopes of pursuing a singing career. The boys found great success like other pop groups of the mid-1990s (*Nysnc, The Backstreet Boys and The Spice Girls to name a few), but like their competition ... 98 Degrees split in the early 2000's to pursue other projects, only to reunite years later.Since singing with the band, Jeff released a solo album "Whisper That Way," appeared on VH1's "Mission: Man Band" and joined the Las Vegas' Chippendales in 2011. Timmons is currently working on a new reality show "Men of the Strip" -- a show which will feature the "hippest, hottest and sexiest male entertainers.

'90s boy band 98 Degrees has made its grand return to music with an interesting new single.
Called "Girls Night Out," the upbeat track made its debut on Billboard on Monday morning.
"Look how she do that sexy dance, she got every single man up in here want to lose his mind / She got her girlfriends all around, lookin' good and gettin' down tonight," the veteran pop stars croon, before leading into a chorus of "Girls night out, so many women lookin' good in the place right now."
The song is a slightly uncomfortable listen as the members of 98 Degrees, Nick Lachey, Drew Lachey, Jeff Timmons, and Justin Jeffre, are all approaching 40 and three out of the four members are married with kids -- not exactly the type of men you want singing about all of the women that they want to hook up with in the club.

Teenyboppers of the 90s, rejoice! 98 Degrees is back in the studio and reliving old times. Nick and Drew Lachey, Jeff Timmons and Justin Jeffre have reunited for the first time since September 2001. "We took a break, but we never broke up," Timmons told People at the Full Sail University Hall of Fame celebration on Friday. "We always thought we'd get back together someday." Ten years have passed since 98 Degrees performed together.
MTV was showing "Total Request Live" instead of "Jersey Shore," no one knew Lady Gaga, and Nick Lachey was married to Jessica Simpson. But on Friday, the band finally reunited on the "Today" show's summer stage.
Once part of one of the most popular groups around, the reunited members of 98 Degrees -- Nick Lachey, Drew Lachey, Jeff Timmons and Justin Jeffre -- say they have transformed from a "boy band" into a "man band."
"It's great to be back together and do what we love to do together on stage," Nick Lachey said, with brother Drew chiming in, "There's back pain, throat pain, knee pain, ankle pain, hip pain. Our menu went from like steak and lobster to Metamucil and prune juice."
The band released their first album in 1997 and had their first mega-hit with "Because of You."

Inspired either by the recent heat wave or their own residual streams growing cold, boy band 98 Degrees has reunited. The group had its heyday around the turn of the millennium with minor hits like 1998’s “Because Of You” and 2000’s “Give Me Just One Night (Una Noche).” The band—which was nominated for a Grammy, believe it or not—is made up of brothers and ex-Simpson clan members Drew and Nick Lachey, Occupy protestor Justin Jeffre, and Chippendale dancer Jeff Timmons. The group’s planned return to the stage is a little underwhelming so far, with only ...

Kevin Richardson may have recently reunited with the Backstreet Boys, but it looks like the fifth member of the '90s boy band kept himself busy during his six-year hiatus from the group.
The 40-year-old actor/singer/dancer/model has a new film coming out, and let's just say that he's going to give Edward Cullen and Eric Northman a run for their money. Richardson is sinking his teeth into vampire fandom, playing a drug-addicted bloodsucker in "Bloody Indulgent," a sexy -- and violent -- movie musical. Yes, Bsb fangirls, that means not only will Richardson's vampire be sucking blood and snorting cocaine, but he'll also sing a lovely little tune while doing so.

Nick and Drew Lachey called into Ryan Seacrest’s radio show this morning to announce that 98 Degrees would be reuniting this summer … for just one show, on August 18 at the Summer Mixtape Festival in Hershey, Pennsylvania. Disappointed that it’s just for one show? Or, um, disappointed that this is 98 Degrees reuniting and not ‘Nsync. Aw, these guys can’t catch a break, even more than a decade after they formed in the shadow of those other beloved boy bands. But then again, maybe it’s time to give the Lachey brothers, Justin Jeffre and Jeff Timmons another chance at your teen-girl screams. After all, they probably aren’t content to rest on their laurels, so they’ll be trying harder. And that Nick has aged quite nicely, wouldn’t you say? You keep making those movies, Justin Timberlake. Continue your mindmeld with the New Kids, Backstreet Boys, we’d...

The group - brothers Nick and Drew Lachey, Justin Jeffre and Jeff Timmons - are excited to be taking the stage together for the first time in 11 years later this summer as, despite varying successes with their individual projects since going their separate ways, they have missed working together. Drew was the winner of 'Dancing With the Stars' season 2, and I've gone and done some solo stuff. 'But there really is nothing like coming together as a unit, as a group, as a band, on...
