Seeing Jim Parsons return as the adult version of the eccentric genius Sheldon Cooper has kind of opened fans up to the idea of whether there could be a follow-up to ‘ Big Bang Theory.’
Jim Parsons is here with the answers to the questions we’ve been asking.
Jim Parsons Would “Never Say Never” To A ‘Big Bang Theory’ Sequel, But He Wouldn’t Want Us To Hold Our Breaths For It Either
For 12 fantastic seasons, we watched Parsons portray one of our favorite characters on the comedy show, Sheldon Cooper – the genius who’s managed to outpace the rest of humanity in terms of mental capacity and yet holds such high regards to the fictional ‘Star Wars’ character Leonard Spock.
Since the ‘Big Bang Theory’ ended, Parsons has continued to keep the spirit of his beloved character alive by voicing him on the prequel series ‘Young Sheldon.’ To round up ‘Young Sheldon,...

It’s been nearly 18 years since Michael Richards, best known for playing Kramer in Seinfeld, had a very controversial outburst that basically cost him his career. He has been out of the spotlight since then, but the actor has recently appeared at the premiere of his colleague’s movie Unfrosted, which was not that well received by either the critics or the audiences, but Richards came to support Jerry Seinfeld. This was a rare public appearance by the former star and, of course, the media used the opportunity to talk to the actor, especially about the 2006 incident.
The incident we are talking about, if you don’t remember, happened during a stand-up show i Los Angeles, when some Black members of the audience supposedly reacted in a way that Richards did not like. The actor then had an aggressive and highly controversial outburst, saying the following: “Shut up! Fifty years...

Michael Richards became well-known across the globe thanks to his role on Seinfeld where he played Cosmo Kramer. He also worked as a standup comedian but put a pause on that before returning to the stage later. However, things didn’t work out well for him. In 2006, he got himself into a horrible mess after he was filmed abusing his Black audience members and hurling racial slurs at them.

At a stand-up show in Los Angeles, Michael Richards was heckled by a group of Black men sitting in the audience and as a response, the comedian berated the men, which obviously did not end well for him. After the video went viral, he found himself on the receiving end of backlash which caused him to retire from stand-up comedy. Recently, the actor opened up about the incident, once again.

Some actors fade away after their breakout hits, and some have a precise moment when their careers end. Michael Richards—who won three Emmys playing Kramer on Seinfeld—undoubtedly falls into the latter category. In 2006, long after the sitcom went off the air, Michael Richards was back on the stand-up circuit, just as he had started his career. Perhaps ironically, that’s how he ended it, too.
In November of that year, Michael Richards launched into a tirade filled with racist and disgusting rhetoric, the video leak of which sealed his fate. Nearly 20 years later, he reflects on that moment and what he was experiencing while on stage at the Laugh Factory. “My anger was all over the place and it came through hard and fast. Anger is quite a force. But it happened. Rather than run from it, I dove into the deep end and tried to learn from it.

Michael Richards is addressing his racist outburst 18 years after the incident.
The Seinfeld actor has been out of the spotlight since the 2006 incident where he was recorded using the n-word and racial slurs while at the Laugh Factory in L.A. Richards made a rare appearance at the premiere of Jerry Seinfeld’s Netflix film Unfrosted and is about to release a memoir titled Entrances and Exits.
In a new interview with People, he acknowledges that he doesn’t expect people to forget the incident, adding, “I’m not looking for a comeback.”
“My anger was all over the place, and it came through hard and fast,” he continued. “Anger is quite a force. But it happened. Rather than run from it, I dove into the deep end and tried to learn from it. It hasn’t been easy.”

“Seinfeld” fans got a shock last month when Michael Richards made a public appearance at the Hollywood premiere for Jerry Seinfeld’s Netflix movie “Unfrosted.” It was one of the rare times Richards has showed up on a major red carpet in nearly 18 years, as his career more or less ended in 2006 after he was recorded hurling the N-word and other racial insults at a group of hecklers during an infamous outburst while onstage at the Laugh Factory in Los Angeles.
Richards, who played Kramer on “Seinfeld” for nearly a decade and won three Emmys for his performance, is now returning to the spotlight due to the upcoming release of his memoir, “Entrances and Exits.” He recently told People magazine that “I’m not looking for a comeback” and stressed that he was “immediately sorry the moment” he said racial slurs onstage in November 2006.

There's nothing like a good sitcom after a long day of hard work. No matter how tired or upset you are, there are some shows that can make all your worries go away in just a few episodes, and for that they're considered truly iconic. It just so happens that a good portion of them come from NBC.
So, if you thought NBC was only a home for dark and gritty procedural franchises, check out the list of shows below to remind yourself how many other shows the network has released, Law & Order and One Chicago aside.
Cheers (1982-1993)
The classic bar-centric sitcom that followed a bartender and his friends and co-workers could have been canceled in 1982. The show failed to impress viewers from the start, but later redeemed itself to become one of the most popular and highly rated television shows of all time. Thanks to NBC, it survived to air 11 more seasons.

As comedy has shifted the bounds of acceptable content, some shows continue to push the line between problematic and funny. Unlike some comedians insist, good comedy series like It’s Always Sunny in Philadephia push the boundary of what is allowed on television. Hapless, a new series streaming on Peacock, looks to bring the same energy from a crew of British comedians. It approaches its comedy with traditional sitcom approaches, but unlike many shows, it lets the humor spiral out of control. Most importantly, it gives its stars the material to milk the most laughs possible out of the punchlines. The show is very funny, even if it occasionally feels too similar to the Curb Your Enthusiasm or The League.
Hapless Plot
Hapless follows Paul Green (Tim Downie), a British journalist completing stories for The Jewish Enquirer. As Paul investigates various stories, he comes into contact with different aspects of Jewish and secular British culture.

“Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” (Warner Bros.), the year’s second-biggest grossing film so far (after the same studio’s “Dune: Part Two”). The $19.99 rental was an immediate #1 on both the iTunes (transaction counting) and Fandango (revenue) VOD charts.
The release comes 46 days after its theatrical opening, a fairly standard delay if not a bit longer. Meanwhile, “Godzilla Minus One” (Toho), the sleeper Japanese success and Oscar Visual Effects winner, has now passed the five-week mark since its domestic release with no home viewing options in sight.
The timing is tied to agreements between Legendary Films (the domestic “Godzilla” licensee) and the franchise’s Japanese owner to not directly compete with each other. As the Warners film advances in its home availability ($5.99 rentals and Max streaming still to come), it remains to be seen when Toho’s film will be permitted.

Jon Stewart was back on The Daily Show and compared Donald Trump to Mr. Magoo as the hush money trial continues.
Michael Cohen wrapped up his testimony and admitted he had stolen from the Trump Organization, which prompted Stewart to compare the former Potus to the animated character.
“How lucky is Donald Trump?” Stewart said. “Donald Trump is like a corruption Mr. Magoo. He’s just stumbling around, quid pro quo-ing, metal beams falling all around him [and] gets out completely unscathed.”
Mr. Magoo is a fictional character who appeared in the Upa animated series Mister Magoo, voiced by Jim Backus. The character is an elderly, wealthy retiree who gets into comical situations and, through sheer luck, always finds himself unharmed.
Trump is on trial and faces 34 felony charges of falsifying business records to conceal other crimes. All of this was to payments made to adult film star Stormy Daniels to silence her amid the 2016 U.

Jerry Seinfeld is still haunted by his TV mother's words -- "How could anyone not like him?"
No wonder Seinfeld has been all over social media in recent months.
He forgoes his usual stoicism and criticizes everything in sight, from critics of his movie "Unfrosted" to Howard Stern, college campuses, and even the cast of Friends.
In a recent interview, Lisa Kudrow stated that Seinfeld tried to take credit for Friends' success and implied that if not for Seinfeld laying the groundwork for a quirky New York group of misfits, the show would never have made it.
To this day, many Seinfeld fans think Friends was a rip-off of Seinfeld that just happened to inherit a cushy Must-See TV time slot.
However, Friends fans, and even some Seinfeld fans, quickly point out that Friends' humor is nothing like Seinfeld's outlook.

Larry David’s beloved comedy series “Curb Your Enthusiasm” is gearing up for a grand showing at the Primetime Emmys. The 12th and final season of the HBO/Max series has submitted for 35 nominations, including the top prize for outstanding comedy series.
Playing a fictionalized version of himself, David is again vying for the lead comedy actor category. He hopes to unseat last year’s winner and current frontrunner, Jeremy Allen White from “The Bear.” Though David is a two-time Emmy winner for writing and creating “Seinfeld,” he has yet to win as an actor despite six nominations, the last of which came in 2008.
Supporting actors J.B. Smoove, Jeff Garlin, Susie Essman, two-time former nominee Cheryl Hines and Tracey Ullman will also compete in the main acting categories, as well as a posthumous submission for Richard Lewis, who died in February.

The latest addition to Jerry Seinfeld’s repertoire, Unfrosted: The Pop-Tart Story, claims to mix humor and nostalgia but appears to have left a sour taste for many Netflix viewers. The comedian’s directorial debut might have had a recipe for success, but one particular element has fans raging. Jon Hamm’s Mad Men Cameo Misses the Mark A controversial point in the film arises with Jon Hamm’s guest appearance as his iconic Mad Men character, Don Draper. While some saw it as a delightful nod to the beloved TV drama, others felt it was an unnecessary and even distressing inclusion. Film critic

For those who adored Jerry Seinfeld’s iconic sitcom, Unfrosted might come as a peculiar turn. While everyone’s favourite cereal mascot does star, the reception is far from sugary. Some critics label it one of the decade’s worst movies. The Plot and the Peculiarity Unfrosted tells a wacky tale purporting to unveil the birth of Pop-Tarts amid cereal wars between Kellogg’s and Post in the ’60s. Starring Seinfeld as Bob Cabana, a fictional executive, and supported by an ensemble cast including Melissa McCarthy and Hugh Grant, it leverages historical nostalgia for laughs. According to Variety, it is fairly clear that the

Though Julia-Louis Dreyfus didn’t make an appearance in the final Curb Your Enthusiasm episode that called back to the Seinfeld series finale, she’s a fan of how Larry David wrapped up his follow-up series.
“I loved it,” she told The Hollywood Reporter of last month’s Curb ending. “I loved everything about it.”
Curb‘s 12th and final season finished with a cameo from Jerry Seinfeld in which he and star-creator David, both playing fictional versions of themselves, reference the famously divisive Seinfeld end. Jerry Seinfeld appears to be embracing a more combative public persona, drawing both attention and criticism. Has the beloved comedian known for his half-joking musings on cereal and stand-up routines truly entered his grumpy old man era? From Comedy to Commentary Seinfeld, who has long been cherished for his apolitical humor, recently found himself embroiled in political discourse. During a press tour for his new film ‘Unfrosted,’ he openly criticized political correctness in comedy, stating, ‘That’s racist. That’s sexist. That’s prejudice.’ They just want to use these words. The Shift in Persona This shift isn’t entirely surprising given Seinfeld’s fame

As in recent finale episodes, Michael Che and Colin Jost wrote each other’s jokes during the Weekend Update segment in this year’s Season 49 finale. Though, of course, the exercise devolved into the most giggly affair as the two comedians read provocative lines that would otherwise be deemed tasteless.

Colin Jost and Michael Che continued their Saturday Night Live “Weekend Update” tradition of swapping jokes and writing zingers for each other to say.
Che started by saying that the last time he tricked Jost into thinking he had invited a civil rights hero, “and that was low. So to make it up to you this time, I invited an actual, practicing rabbi.”
Jost started off by addressing the Jerry Seinfeld commencement speech at Duke where students were seen walking out.
“I think that’s disgraceful. During these difficult times it’s important to support our Jewish friends. That’s why the only chant you’ll hear from me is, ‘Free [Harvey] Weinstein!,'” Jost read.

Netflix’s rom-com “Mother of the Bride” and Will Forte crime drama series “Bodkin” led the Luminate streaming originals chart for the week of May 10-16, elbowing past higher-profile competition.
Two buzzy streaming original movies — Netflix’s “Unfrosted” and Amazon Prime Video’s “The Idea of You” — held up well in their second full week in release. The Jake Gyllenhaal starrer “Road House” continues to be a work horse for Prime Video, which confirmed earlier this week that a second installment is in development. A surprise on the original film chart was Netflix documentary “Living with Leopards,” which debuted at No. 7.
“Bodkin,” which revolves around a podcast crew that comes to investigate the disappearance of three people from a small town in Ireland years before, moved swiftly up the original streaming series chart, passing Netflix’s “A Man in Full.” The Jeff Daniels’ starrer came in at No. 2 in its second full week in release.

Executive producer Steve Cohen has worked with Billy Joel for decades, and if there’s one thing he knows about the legendary musician it’s that Joel is quite reluctant to perform on camera. But the New York native made an exception for a historic milestone in his monthly residency at Madison Square Garden. To celebrate the 100th consecutive sellout at the world’s most famous arena, Cohen and Joel decided to commemorate the occasion with a special event on CBS, “The 100th: Billy Joel at Madison Square Garden,” the first concert film for Joel since 2010’s “Last Play at Shea.”
“I’m an old school guy, I remember appointment television on Sunday evening and Billy’s the same,” Cohen tells Gold Derby in an exclusive video interview as part of our Making of “The 100th: Billy Joel at Madison Square Garden” roundtable panel. So the choice was made to...

Unfrosted might not be fully accurate in its portrayal of the race to create the first toaster pastry, but it does capture an essential truth: The more specific nostalgia is, the more universal its appeal. Which is why Unfrosted’s director, co-writer, and star Jerry Seinfeld’s personal passion for the Pop-Tart can be seen through the lens of a subversive yet somehow sweet look back at the ’60s, a time when kids roamed free (and right into dumpsters) and Shakespearean actors moonlighted as cereal mascots.
About that — the mascot in question is Tony the Tiger, and the real-life actor who voiced him was named Thurl Ravenscroft. And while, no, he was not a thespian who specialized in the Bard’s work, that’s the spin Hugh Grant has put on the character in Unfrosted, to great effect. In a world where political correctness is shaping the landscape of comedy, Jerry Seinfeld’s recent comments have sparked a debate about the current state of television humor. In an interview with The New Yorker, Seinfeld lamented that the result of the extreme left and P.C. crap has fundamentally altered what can be shown on TV today, citing episodes of Seinfeld that would not make it past modern censors. Modern Comedy Landscape Seinfeld used an example from his famous sitcom where Cosmo Kramer employs homeless people to pull rickshaws as potentially unairable today. However, amidst these sentiments, Rob McElhenney, creator of

Howard Stern said this week he quickly accepted Jerry Seinfeld’s apology for saying Stern has been “outflanked” by other comedians.
“I read it, and I went to my wife, ‘Oh, that’s weird,’ because Jerry is a personal friend of ours,” Stern said on Monday’s The Howard Stern Show on SiriusXM.
Last week, Seinfeld made headlines for saying on the Fly on the Wall podcast that Stern, a self-proclaimed “king of all media,” had been “outflanked” by other comedy podcasts. He also said that hosts Dana Carvey and David Spade “are better than him now.” The Unfrosted director later apologized for the comments, saying “I feel really bad for what I said.”
On Monday, Stern said he first learned of the comments when he saw a headline that said Seinfeld alleged Stern was an interviewer, not a comedian.

Hulu is set to air Jim Gaffigan’s next comedy special as the launch title of the streamer’s new standup comedy brand.
Gaffigan’s new special, “The Skinny,” will debut on Nov. 22 under the new “Hulu’s Laughing Now” brand. The brand will feature 12 new comedy specials per year, or one per month. The announcement was made as part of Disney’s upfront presentation to advertisers in New York on Tuesday.
“This is probably the biggest announcement that will happen to television since the invention of the TV dinner,” Gaffigan said onstage. “They’re doing it not half assed. They’re doing it full assed. I don’t know if I’m allowed to say that.”
“The Skinny” was taped earlier this year in Boston at the Wilbur Theater. The special, Gaffigan’s 11th stand-up special, will launch on Hulu and on Disney+ outside the U.S.

The Roast of Tom Brady” was the most-watched TV title on Netflix during the week of May 6, and the second-most-watched title overall.
The special, which originally streamed live during the Netflix Is a Joke comedy fest, hit 13.8 million views during the May 6-12 viewing window, a steep increase from the 2 million views that made it the No. 6 English-language TV title the week before, during which it was only available for the weekend. Also recorded live during the festival, Katt Williams’ stand-up special “Woke Foke” held onto its No. 4 position for the second week in a row, increasing slightly from 4 million to 4.3 million views.
On the movies chart, the Brooke Shields-led “Mother of the Bride” quickly dethroned “Unfrosted” in the top position with a strong 26.7 million views — also outpacing the Brady roast. Jerry Seinfeld’s movie followed with 8.8 million views in its first full week of availability.

Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox stands tall as the greatest animated Dcau film. The movie features a dynamic storyline with three-dimensional characters and outstanding voice actors. Besides the rich narrative and well-written characters, the voice cast of the film has done a fantastic job. At the same time, there is quite an interesting story behind the casting of the role of Superman.
A still from Justice League: The Flashpoint Paradox
In the animated series, Clark Kent was voiced by Tim Daly, the actor always the right choice to voice the character. His voice radiated warmth, determination, and passion, which is necessary to play the iconic DC superhero. However, due to unforeseen circumstances, he could not voice the superhero for this movie. Instead, his son did the work, and surprisingly, very few fans noticed the difference.

Dozens of students walked out of comedian Jerry Seinfeld‘s Duke University commencement speech on May 12.
A video posted on X showed students chanting “Free, free Palestine” as they left the stadium with pro-Palestine flags, and the walkouts seemed to be in protest of Seinfeld’s support of Israel. Seinfeld has publicly voiced his support for Israel since the October 7 Hamas-led attack.

Jerry Seinfeld’s highly touted (and largely panned) feature directorial debut, “Unfrosted,” spent four days leading Netflix’s top 10 movie chart before another Netflix original, “Mother of the Bride” starring Brooke Shields, took the slot before the thematically appropriate weekend holiday.
“Unfrosted” led for just four days, with “Shrek” from 2001 leading midweek before the debut of “Bride.” The Dreamworks animated classic is still in second place, while Seinfeld’s Pop-Tarts comedy dropped to fourth.
“Bride” comes from director Mark Waters. Perhaps best known for his “Freaky Friday” remake and the original “Mean Girls,” Waters went on to direct “The Spiderwick Chronicles,” “Vampire Academy,” and “Bad Santa 2.” In the new rom-com, Shields is a mom who realizes the father of her future son-in-law broke her heart decades ago.

John Mulaney Presents: Everybody's in LA only aired for a week and a day, but it might have had the power to change TV for the better. That's probably too much pressure to put on six episodes of a live Netflix experiment that the comedian hosted from an inexplicable 1970s living room set on a soundstage at Sunset and Gower, but that's the feeling I came away from it with. That was what TV's been missing — that fever dream that made Jerry Seinfeld suggest that Mulaney wasn't quite as sober as he now famously is, that weird combo of morning radio and late-night cable access. It's the sort of thing you wake up to at 3 a.m. after falling asleep with the TV on, and it's exactly what we all needed.

Jerry Seinfeld’s Bee Movie was destined to be one of the most entertaining and hilarious films ever created. The film featured itself with an absurd and intriguing plot, and remains a top-notch product of Seinfeld’s humor, as he showcased his wit with clever wordplay. As a result, the animated film was loved by its young and old audiences.

To add to the film’s success, it became a never-ending meme factory. While the animated film was meant to be a family-friendly movie, it featured several erotic undertones when Barry B. Benson and Vanessa Bloome were shown together. Jerry Seinfeld realized his mistake, but but he was too proud with his work, hence, he decided to give a half-baked apology which might not resonate well with some of its viewers.

Several dozen students walked out of Duke University’s commencement ahead of Jerry Seinfeld’s speech Sunday.
Though Seinfeld’s speech continued uninterrupted during the ceremony — with many in the audience cheering him on — groups of students could be seen leaving as university president Vincent Price introduced the comedian, with some reports asserting Price’s words were drowned out by protestors chanting “free Palestine.”
Elsewhere in the crowd, audiences cheered enthusiastically and chanted “Jerry! Jerry!”

Duke University’s commencement ceremony on Sunday saw dozens walk out in protest of guest speaker Jerry Seinfeld, who has been a big supporter of Israel during the conflict in Gaza.

The remaining crowd cheered for Seinfeld, chanting, “Jerry! Jerry!” at the start of his talk. He was given an honorary degree from Duke.
Reports indicate there were also scattered boos and shouts of “Free Palestine” heard.
Seinfeld has been a vocal supporter of Israel since the Oct. 7 attack.

As much as Will Smith wanted Chris Rock to keep his wife’s name out his f*ckin’ mouth, the comedian wanted to lay as low as possible after The Slap. That included turning down good friend Jerry Seinfeld’s offer to appear in Unfrosted — primarily because his cameo would have spoofed that infamous Oscar moment.

The hit Max series “Hacks” is back for its third season after an extended hiatus, once again mining the struggles of an aging comedienne and a young, developing writer for chuckles and heart. Winning multiple awards for its previous seasons, the show can claim a strong degree of authority on what is and isn’t funny and that extends to the series’ two leads, Jean Smart and Hannah Einbinder. With the state of comedy and what is permissible remaining an evergreen conversation, Einbinder reiterated her previously stated opinion in a recirculated red carpet interview with Refinery29.
“You can say anything,” Einbinder said, then added, “you just have to be a good joke writer. And you have to be smart. You can’t just be a bigot and racist and homophobic and transphobic. Or actually, you can and you’ll have a wonderful career. ‘Cause a lot of people will come out and support that.

Jerry Seinfeld wanted Chris Rock to parody Will Smith slapping him at the 2022 Oscars for his Netflix movie Unfrosted.
While appearing on Dana Carvey and David Spade’s podcast Fly on the Wall this week, Seinfeld said he initially wanted to cast Rock in the role as the host of the Bowl & Spoon Awards, which eventually went to Cedric the Entertainer.
“We shot that right after the Will Smith slap,” Seinfeld said. “I was going to have somebody come up on the stage and have Chris punch ’em out as they got there.”
However, Rock “wasn’t up to perform” the parody of the incident. “He was a little shook from that event,” Seinfeld explained. “That was what that scene was going to be, but Cedric saved the day.”

But if you wanted to just stick with the perennially charming original, we wouldn't blame you. Luckily enough, that very movie can now be found on the biggest streamer in the game.
