Lockwood & Co. (2023)
Funny, suspenseful and binge worthy
What a great series! If you haven't already, make sure to watch the beginning credits; they actually explain a lot about the prequel information to the world (I didn't notice this until my second round of watching it).
Between the beautiful chemistry among the 3 central characters and the addicting storyline, this is a fantastic series that I've binged more than once. The cute little hints of romance between Lockwood and Lucy is adorable and doesn't overtake the story. But I truly loved George. His sarcastic humour and quirky nature is so loveable, especially as he warms up to Lucy.
The world building and plot are fascinating, full of mysteries regarding the Problem. It was so intriguing that I ended up buying the books. From what I've read so far, the core story is the same but adds enough differentiation that readers can enjoy without feeling it's just the same thing to film.
My biggest complaint is I wanted so much more. I think they could've stretched out the series more to add more time to get to know the characters, especially since episodes 1 to 3 cover the first book and episodes 4 to 8 cover the third book. But it's still great.
I truly hope they continue the series on Netflix!
