- Eddie: [on the intercom to Shaun] I imagine in this moment you're questioning whether or not you and your kids will make it out of this alive. The answer to that depends on who I am and what I'm capable of. You're thinking 'If not me, then at least my kids, at all costs, get them back, no matter what I have to do'. But you know there is nothing you can do; you're a woman, alone, at the mercy of strangers, your greatest weakness is trapped here, inside the house, with us. We will work this out, I promise, but from this moment on, you are going to have to do exactly as I say, or you and your kids will not survive this night.
- Glover Russell: [as his sister starts crawling through a vent] But what if something happens to you
- Jasmine Russell: [stops and reassures him] Look... you're my kid brother... *I'm* Supposed to worry about *You* Not the other way round
- Glover Russell: If you died, I wouldn't sell our house.
- Jasmine Russell: Hm, I would.
- Glover Russell: She's just ornery because she was supposed to see her boyfriend this weekend.
- Jasmine Russell: Whatever, and he's not my boyfriend.
- Glover Russell: Then why did he make you a playlist filled with sex songs?
- Jasmine Russell: Oh my God, shut up freak. Mom! Seriously, I'm gonna kill you.
- Shaun Russell: Okay, enough, both of you. I know this is not how you wanted to spend your weekend, but guess what? Me neither.
- [pause, to Jasmine]
- Shaun Russell: So, a *whole* playlist?
- Glover Russell: [at the security monitors] This place is a fortress.
- Shaun Russell: What're you doing in here?
- Glover Russell: The downstairs windows have retractable polycarbonate shields. It's a fully automated security system. Check it out, there's cameras in every room, the yard, the driveway. Interior motion detectors, exterior motion activated lights, electronic deadbolts.
- Shaun Russell: Where's that music coming from?
- Glover Russell: [picks up tablet] This controls everything, the music, the lights, the whole house. It's so easy, even you could do it. Awesome, right?
- Shaun Russell: I guess some people get paranoid in their old age.
- Glover Russell: So what does that make you, nearly paranoid?
- Glover Russell: 5 bedrooms, tennis courts, and almost 25 acres of woods. What's an acre? Mom?
- Shaun Russell: It's a measurement of land, uh, it's like the size of someone's property.
- Glover Russell: I thought Grandpa lived in the city.
- Shaun Russell: He did, he kept this place as like a, like a vacation house.
- Glover Russell: So why're you selling it?
- Shaun Russell: Because it's part of the estate, and that's what you do when someone passes away.
- Glover Russell: But why are *you* selling it?
- Jasmine Russell: Because it reminds her about everything she hated about her father.
- Shaun Russell: You can start by unloading the car.
- Jasmine Russell: Is that a request or an order, madam?
- Shaun Russell: I'm your mother, is there a difference?
- Duncan: I thought you said no one came up here without the old man.
- Sam: Yeah, that's the information I was given.
- Duncan: The information you were *given*?
- Sam: I was banging the assistant, it's not like I knew the guy.
- Duncan: You knew he stashed $4 million in cash in a safe somewhere in this house, or are you not sure about that either?
- Glover Russell: This is where you grew up?
- Shaun Russell: Mm-hm, what do you think?
- Glover Russell: It feels lonely.
- Jasmine Russell: [sees stables] Grandpa had horses here?
- Shaun Russell: Mm-hm, he sold them shortly after I left.
- Jasmine Russell: Thank God there's cell phone service.
- Shaun Russell: Girl, you just got your cell phone privileges back, don't abuse them.
- Justin Russell: The DA called this morning.
- Shaun Russell: Justin, I don't want to do this, please.
- Justin Russell: Shaun.
- Shaun Russell: No don't, I'm barely hanging on as is.
- Justin Russell: *He* was the criminal, Shaun, how could you have known? From the moment your mom died, you were on your own. Your father needed someone to blame and he chose you. You survived, you got out, you built a family, a life.
- Shaun Russell: Then why does it feel like I never left?
- Justin Russell: What he did, what he's done, is not your fault. You don't have to pay for his mistakes.
- Shaun Russell: I just wanna get through the weekend and come home.
- Jasmine Russell: Mom...
- Shaun Russell: [shortly] Yes, Jas?
- Jasmine Russell: [pause] Never mind.
- [turns and walks away]
- Shaun Russell: [stops her] Hey, hey, look, it's not your job to worry about me, it's my job to worry about you, okay?
- Eddie: I told you not to let her leave, I didn't tell you to cut her throat.
- Sam: What the hell is the matter with you? She was just gonna walk, man!
- Duncan: [tosses Sam Maggie's phone, set for 911] We broke into this house, we took those kids, cops come, we're staring at 25 to life whether the bitch is dead or tied up in the basement. Moms didn't show, I had to make a call, so I made it.
- Eddie: I didn't bring you on to make calls. Those kids upstairs, that's all Mom cares about, she would never do anything to risk their lives. She was afraid and that put us in control. Now, any question she might've had about our intentions is gone, and that makes her desperate.
- Duncan: So what?
- Eddie: So fear I can manage. Desperation, whole different thing.
- Sam: They're just kids, Jesus, Eddie, where the hell did you find this guy?
- Eddie: I found him the same place I found you, doing 3-5 in county, only he wasn't on his knees in a shower stall.
- Sam: Look, this goes way beyond a break-in. The minute we cut those phone lines, the clock started ticking. If we don't get them back online in 90 minutes, the security company's gonna call the police.
- Jasmine Russell: What if they can't get the safe open? If they can't get what they want, why would they let us go?
- Shaun Russell: What do you mean 'if they can't get the safe open'?
- Jasmine Russell: That's what they said.
- Shaun Russell: Are you sure?
- Glover Russell: He killed her, didn't he?
- Jasmine Russell: We have to get out of here. Okay, if we can get the lock open, we can find a phone and call the police. Glov?
- Glover Russell: We can't call the police, they cut the phone lines.
- Eddie: Shaun, how far do you think your kids will get? Your husband? You want me to believe you're capable of letting your entire family die just so I don't get what I want?
- Shaun Russell: After tonight it's clear you have no idea what I'm capable of.
- Eddie: Me and everybody else, right?
- Shaun Russell: [holds lighter] The money is doused in gasoline, you come any closer and I'll burn it.
- Eddie: You do that, you and your kids are dead.
- Shaun Russell: You walk away with nothing.
- Eddie: Or, I could just shoot you.
- Shaun Russell: [lowers lighter to the cash] And the money burns. After all this, is that what you want?
- Duncan: We'll use the kids, take them to the porch, kill the boy, and the mom falls in line.
- Sam: No way man, we're not killing kids.
- Duncan: You didn't have a problem killing the old man, did you?
- Sam: That was different.
- Duncan: Why, because you weren't driving the car?
- Sam: No, because if the DA had investigated him and he told them about the safe, this whole thing would've been blown. We didn't have a choice.
- Duncan: 30 freaking minutes until the cops show up, either we do what needs to be done, or we turn ourselves in.
- Eddie: Why would she tell us where the safe is?
- Duncan: Who cares?
- Eddie: She's smart, knows how to handle herself. She knows about Pete.
- Eddie: [Glover's holding a gun on him] I wasn't going to hurt you.
- Glover Russell: "Tie the kids to their beds, set the house on fire."
- Eddie: If I wanted you dead, you'd be dead already.
- Eddie: I meant what I said, you are an impressive woman.
- Shaun Russell: No, I'm just a mom. Now get the hell out of my house.
- Eddie: [to Shaun] So your plan was to lure me upstairs, set the house on fire. Sounds like something your dad might've thought of.
- Eddie: [after he shoots Pete and Shaun runs off] Keep running, Shaun, you just killed your kids! Their blood is on your hands!
