The Machine delivers the number of the investigative journalist Maxine Angelis, a bold woman that has many powerful enemies due to her way of working. She has just exposed the politician Ed Griffin, who is candidate of Mayor, for illegal campaign fund-raising. Now she is looking for the HR Chief since the FBI is arresting several dirty cops. And Finch finds that she has a backup story of the man wearing suit, meaning Reese. Therefore, Reese cannot expose himself to her. Out of the blue, she receives an anonymous tip that the head of the HR would be Christopher Zambrano, who is the son of a Mafia kingpin Vittorio Zambrano and considered a honest man. She makes a shallow checking and publishes he matter. Meanwhile Finch makes arrangement for a blind date of Reese and Maxine. Christopher is murdered and then Maxine learns that he was a honest man that would provide evidence in a journal that belonged to his father to the FBI to arrest the head of the HR and concludes that she was used. While dating Maxine, Reese suggests that the suited man would be an urban legend, and Finch uses Zoe Morgan to improve the dating. Now Maxine wants to find Vittorio's journal to arrest the leader of the HR while hunted down by the HR criminals.
"Bury the Lede" is another excellent episode of "Person of Interest". John Reese is in a difficult position, protecting the journalist and hiding his identity to avoid her matter. Fusco is in a terrible situation, pressed by Simmon and Reese at the same time. It is difficult for him to let the past behind, but he could open his situation to Reese. Zoe Morgan steals the show again, maybe because I love the actress Paige Turco. Now the viewers know who the head of the HR is. My vote is nine.
