Carrie-Anne Moss, best known for her iconic role as Trinity in 'The Matrix' franchise, is set to join Arnold Schwarzenegger and the cast of "FUBAR" for the show's second season on Netflix.
Moss will play Greta Nelso, described as a former East German spy who has a "passionate history" with Schwarzenegger's character, Luke Brunner. In the new season, Luke finds himself facing off against villains from his past, including an old flame (Moss) who threatens to destroy the world.
"We're thrilled to welcome Carrie-Anne Moss to the cast of "FUBAR" for what promises to be an action-packed second season," said creator and showrunner Nick Santora. "Her character Greta Nelso adds an exciting new dynamic as a nuanced adversary with complicated ties to Arnold's Luke Brunner."
In addition to Schwarzenegger and Moss, Season 2 will see the return of Monica Barbaro, Fortune Feimster, Travis Van Winkle, Jay Baruchel, Aparna Brielle, Andy Buckley, Milan Carter, Fabiana Udenio, and Barbara Eve Harris.
The satirical spy series, produced by Skydance Television, follows CIA operative Luke Brunner (Schwarzenegger) who finds himself thrust back into action after saving his daughter during an intended retirement mission in Season 1.
The series' first season garnered praise for its offbeat blend of action, comedy, and family dynamics anchored by Schwarzenegger's first major TV role. Season 2 will continue exploring those elements while raising the stakes with new threats for Brunner to confront.
A release date for the eight-episode season has not been announced yet. The series is executive produced by Santora, Schwarzenegger, Adam Higgs, Scott Sullivan, and others.

Bradley Cooper, who has 12 Oscar nominations, might soon add his first Primetime Emmy nod to his resume for playing himself on ABC’s “Abbott Elementary.” ABC and awards strategists confirm to Variety that the actor has been submitted for guest comedy actor for this year’s awards consideration.
Earlier this year, the Television Academy changed the rules for submitting in the guest acting categories, stating, “A brief cameo appearance is not eligible for entry.” However, the vague description doesn’t explicitly state whether an actor like Cooper or even Kevin Hart, who appeared in last week’s episode playing himself...

Being a professional quarterback is arguably the toughest job in football — maybe in any sport, period. Quarterback, the new eight-episode docuseries from NFL Films and Omaha Productions, follows three of the biggest quarterbacks in the game throughout the 2022 season, giving an unprecedented look at what it takes for the Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes, the Minnesota Vikings’ Kirk Cousins and the Atlanta Falcons’ Marcus Mariota to succeed when all eyes are on them.
“Look — we’ve seen quarterbacks mic’d up for a game. We’ve certainly seen training camp. But we’ve never followed a quarterback throughout the entire season to see what he does Sunday night after a big win, after a brutal loss on a last-second field goal — what they do on Mondays and Tuesdays on their off days,” Hall of Fame quarterback and Quarterback executive producer Peyton Manning told Netflix. “Are they hanging out? In the new two-part documentary Jimmy Savile: A British Horror Story, debuting April 6, Britain’s most celebrated — and reviled — DJ and TV host is reexamined more than a decade after his death. Savile, who was known for hosting the long-running music show Top of the Pops and BBC’s Jim’ll Fix It, died in 2011 at age 84 before his horrific history of sexual abuse came to light. In the aftermath of his passing, hordes of people came forward claiming that Savile had molested, raped or otherwise abused them. Allegations against Savile indicate that he sexually violated upwards of 400 people over a 54-year span (1955 to 2009), with his victims ranging in age from 5 to 75. Investigators were able to corroborate dozens of stories from Savile’s past, and the nation was shocked, left to grapple with the consequences of a man who was never held accountable in...

It took nearly a whole season, but hacking prodigy Edward — otherwise known as Radical Ed — is officially entering the Bebop universe. In the season finale of the live-action Netflix adaptation of , we are finally introduced to the mysterious red-haired teen, who ceremoniously entered while shouting at an unconscious Spike Spiegel () — and it was just the sort of irritating younger sibling behavior fans of the 1998 anime will remember of Radical Ed. At age 14, actor Eden Perkins plays the role of Edward, and as fans of the original anime already know, there’s a lot more to come for this character.
But first, let’s start with Radical Ed’s origins as an anime icon. In the original Bebop storyline, Edward is a colorfully eccentric, mischievous character known for referring to herself in the third person. She is also a staple of the show’s arc as the universe’s...

At first glance, Season 2’s second episode, “Do You Know the Way to Saint-Tropez?” is the pinnacle of our title character’s life abroad — after all, Emily () parties through St. Tropez, dressed in an endless parade of designer resort wear. But amid the yachts, couture infighting, and champère showers, there’s a cloud of melancholy around Mindy Chen (), who plays Emily’s Parisian partner in crime. In this particular episode, an old storyline is rekindled: Mindy is seen mourning her fractured relationship with her dad, the unimaginably wealthy Zipper King of China.
Although viewers still haven’t met Mr. Chen, Emily in Paris has been dropping details about him and his relationship with Mindy since the very beginning of the series. Mr. Chen’s looming expectations are essentially the reason for Mindy’s prolonged (read: technically illegal) sojourn in Paris. If you can’t remember exactly what caused the evident...

is a confection of a show. That’s likely why it avoids any mention of the pandemic during its easy, breezy and very beautiful second season. However, even Emily in Paris couldn’t avoid one of the biggest trends of the lockdown era: Peloton, the at-home exercise bike so ubiquitous it inspired an unforgettable Saturday Night Live sketch. In Season 2’s seventh episode, “The Cook, the Thief, Her Ghost, and His Lover,” the Savoir team is tasked with marketing Pelotech (get it?), a “heart-pumping cardio experience that connects riders to a worldwide fitness community,” as its representative Pete (Lee Aaron Rosen) preaches to Emily Cooper () and her dismayed French colleagues.

Eating, drinking and flirting your way through Paris is a dream, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t any downsides. You could accidentally get caught up in a love triangle, become the target of your boss’s ire or accidentally sleep with your bestie’s 17-year-old brother. All of this could happen theoretically... or, if you’re the heroine of , it literally does. The American marketer’s expat life is full of culture clashes, work drama and romantic dalliances (as one should expect in the City of Love).
All that friction didn’t wrap at the end of Season 1, so Emily () has plenty more to figure out when the comedy returns on December 22. With that in mind, we’ve compiled a list of the biggest burning questions we hope this season answers.
1. Will Emily actually learn French?

Grey’s Anatomy is the latest show to be working its way around cost-saving methods, with one of its series regulars exiting soon. Season 20 will be the last full one for Jake Borelli, who stars as Dr. Levi Schmitt, according to Deadline. However, don’t expect the finale, which airs on Thursday, May 30, to wrap up his story, as he is currently negotiating to appear in “several episodes” to do just that, the outlet notes. Nothing this far suggests how he could be written out, with Levi’s focus on teaching the current group of interns at Grey Sloan Memorial, though he did have a possibly telling encounter with his ex-boyfriend, Dr. Nico Kim (Alex Landi), during which he learned the other man was about to become a father with his new partner. We’ll have to see if that leads to ...

“Revenge is best served raw,” reads the tagline of Beef, the new dark comedy series that follows two strangers, Danny (Steven Yeun) and Amy (Ali Wong), involved in a road rage incident and the cycle of retribution that ensues.
And yes, the duo is constantly dishing up their respective retaliations in an intense, unfiltered, pain-inducing state. But continuing on with this meaty metaphor, the beefs themselves — as in the individual grievances that lead to each new act of vengeance — actually differ drastically across degrees of doneness. So why not categorize Beef’s beefs the same way you would beef-beef? From rare to charcoaled hockey puck, here they are.

The most painful part of being a pet owner is knowing that their beloved furball’s life will probably end before their own. This knowledge can lead people down extreme paths, all in the name of keeping their pets happy and healthy for as long as possible. But even if a pet owner has spent an exorbitant amount of money on CBD products for an allergy-prone rabbit or hired a pet psychic to get to the bottom of a cat’s anxiety, most people probably wouldn’t believe anyone who promised to make their dog immortal. Probably not, but that’s what Sarma Melngailis says happened to her.
The new docuseries Bad Vegan: Fame. Fraud. Fugitives. tells the story of Melngailis and the rise and fall of her raw food restaurant, NYC’s Pure Food and Wine. A big part of the narrative is the relationship Melngailis had with Anthony Strangis,...

When you hear the words meat suit, what comes to mind? Maybe it’s the raw-steak dress that Lady Gaga wore to the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards? Perhaps it’s a court case involving Big Beef? Whatever it is, it probably doesn’t have to do with veganism. Yet, as anyone who’s watched the trailer for Bad Vegan: Fame. Fraud. Fugitives. knows, a meat suit plays a prominent role in the twisted tale of former Pure Food and Wine restaurateur Sarma Melngailis and her ex-partner, Anthony Strangis.
The meat suit is introduced in the show’s trailer when former Pure Food and Wine manager Bonnie Crocker says: “Oh no, what’s the meat suit? I’m going to need a minute.” In a story that has a lot of elements that might make viewers “need a minute,” the meat suit stands out as being one of the strangest. But first,...

Not too long ago, there was a brief window during which raw vegan food looked like it could become a legitimate cuisine, a natural evolution of vegan dining focused on scientifically dubious claims about enzymes and energy levels. In 1995, a man who went by Juliano (one name) opened the restaurant Raw Experience, which received a positive review in the San Francisco Chronicle. In 1999, he put out The UNcook Book: New Vegetarian Food for Life. Also in the Bay Area, Roxanne Klein’s restaurant Roxanne’s was even more well received, perhaps because Klein had already attained a mainstream cooking pedigree and published a fully raw cookbook with Chicago’s famed restaurateur Charlie Trotter, titled Raw.
Neither of these restaurants achieved longevity, though, not even in a part of the US that has famously accommodated each new phase of meatless eating over the past few decades. Instead, against all probability, culturally...

Nothing is simple in Toy Boy, a show about a male stripper wrongly convicted of murder who, along with the help of a young lawyer, attempts to find the real culprit. The problem? There are actually multiple crimes — and multiple murderers — in the first season alone.
As the series unfolds, we discover that twentysomething “toy boy” Hugo Beltrán (Jesús Mosquera) is found on his houseboat with the charred body of Philip Norman (Virgil Mathet), the husband of Hugo’s lover, Macarena Medina (Cristina Castaño). Despite having no memory of the night, Hugo is convicted of murder and imprisoned for seven years, until a young lawyer at a high-powered firm, Triana Marín (María Pedraza), successfully petitions for a new trial and gets him out of prison.
The pair uncovers a conspiracy that involves crooked cops, billionaire business rivals, the Irish mafia, an orgy and an innocent teenager. And the question...

In most cases, we toast to new beginnings. Whether it’s to ring in another year or celebrate a major milestone, the sound of clinking glasses symbolizes a new era. For young siblings Roderick (Zach Gilford) and Madeline Usher (Willa Fitzgerald), what they thought was a toast to success was also a toast to their own demise.
Mike Flanagan’s The Fall of the House of Usher combines Edgar Allan Poe’s most famous poems and short stories into a haunting exploration of privilege and greed. After spending decades building a successful pharmaceutical company, Roderick (Bruce Greenwood) and Madeline (Mary McDonnell) are now forced to confront the skeletons in their closet, as each of their heirs die in brutal and mysterious ways.

One choice. One selfish choice seals the Usher family’s fates forever when twins Roderick (Zach Gilford) and Madeline Usher (Willa Fitzgerald) meet an omnipotent harbinger of fate, Verna (Carla Gugino), at a bar on New Year’s Eve 1979 in Mike Flanagan’s The Fall of the House of Usher.
They’ll get the whole world — running Fortunato Pharmaceuticals, making more money than they could ever imagine, literally getting away with murder — all sans consequences. But the next generation will have to foot the bill. “When you’re done, at the end of it all… just before you would have died anyway, your bloodline dies with you,” Verna offers them. The two scrappy Ushers, who came into the world together, would leave the world together, atop a hill of riches, excess… and bodies.
Would you accept such an offer? Well,...

Sad news to report this afternoon. Renowned jazz saxophonist died yesterday at age 78 after a long battle with prostate cancer.
The six-time Grammy winner performed with a galaxy of stars over the years, including artists like David Bowie, Stevie Wonder, James Taylor, and Paul Simon, but he was also a regular face in some of the biggest house bands in late night—and then on his own show.
He got his start in late night in 1979 when he joined the Saturday Night Live band for its fifth season. When Paul Simon and James Taylor were tapped to co-host an episode that season, Sanborn served as a standalone musical guest—the only time an SNL band member has done so.
Following his time in Studio 8H, Sanborn could frequently be seen on another NBC late-night show.

John Mulaney Presents: Everybody's in LA only aired for a week and a day, but it might have had the power to change TV for the better. That's probably too much pressure to put on six episodes of a live Netflix experiment that the comedian hosted from an inexplicable 1970s living room set on a soundstage at Sunset and Gower, but that's the feeling I came away from it with. That was what TV's been missing — that fever dream that made Jerry Seinfeld suggest that Mulaney wasn't quite as sober as he now famously is, that weird combo of morning radio and late-night cable access. It's the sort of thing you wake up to at 3 a.m. after falling asleep with the TV on, and it's exactly what we all needed.

If you’ve been (im)patiently waiting for 9-1-1: Lone Star‘s return, you’re not alone. Rob Lowe, who stars as Captain Owen Strand, is eager for Season 5, on Fox‘s fall 2024 schedule, to get out there already. “We’ve been shooting for two or three months now, so I want to be able to see it already,” he told TV Insider at the network’s upfront red carpet. The Season 4 finale, which saw T.K. (Ronen Rubinstein) and Carlos (Rafael L. Silva) get married, also featured a couple of tragedies: Carlos’ father was murdered, and Owen sat by his brother Robert’s (Chad Lowe) side for his death (his Huntington’s disease was progressively getting worse). It aired in May 2023; 9-1-1: Lone Star was not part of Fox’s schedule for the 2023-2024 season at all after the strikes, instead pushed to fall 2024. But...

Now that Jonathan Majors appears in two Netflix movies, Da 5 Bloods and , which performance do you prefer? Let’s unpack how these two roles compare and contrast.
Majors plays David, the loyal and compassionate son of former Vietnam soldier Paul (Delroy Lindo), in Spike Lee’s Da 5 Bloods and a bitter, wronged son in The Harder They Fall. Up front, we should say that the two movies have one amazing connection: Majors co-stars with Lindo in both, and the two actors give great performances in both.
However, as Lindo’s son in Bloods, Majors plays a young man with a much milder temper. As a college professor sporting retro T-shirts and caps worn backward, he is at first fully uninterested in his father’s trip back to Vietnam to try to right a wrong and find a hidden fortune. Yet Majors follows him there, trying to reason with...

It will be worth it. That’s what the first two seasons of Good Omens have taught us as we await the third to return. The Prime Video series, based on the book of the same name by Neil Gaiman and Sir Terry Pratchett and now expanding on that story, began by following the angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and the demon Crowley (David Tennant) over the leading up to their attempt to stop Armageddon after the birth of the antichrist. The second season moved beyond the book and saw Aziraphale and Crowley hiding the amnesiac archangel Gabriel (Jon Hamm) from both Heaven and Hell before it ended in heartbreak. We know it will be some time before we find out what happens next, so below, we’re gathering everything we know about the future of Good Omens, including teases we got from Gaiman.
