Nick Brokaw is a filmmaker born and raised in Los Angeles. His family runs four generations deep in the entertainment industry in the representation and management fields, with family ties as far back as early 20th century vaudeville, Hollywoods golden era and 19th century actors and musicians. Nick is the first generation to be hands-on within the film production industry; A cinephile and student of classic cinema and auteur directors, Nick's passion for film solidified as he spent his youth exploring the medium; constantly filming from the age of eleven onward. Since 2009 he has worked on independent films as well as been employed freelance by 75+ Los Angeles-based production companies in TV and commercials. 2009 also saw Nick establish Napesni Motion Pictures, along side production partner and actor, Jerry Wolf. 2013 saw the completion of the epic, Native-American-centric western Four Winds which played at 23 film festivals world-wide. 2017's multi-national feature film Burguesinha from Dias Entertainment was directed by Nick and 2018 saw him complete filming of the WWII drama Last Patrol on Okinawa which premiered in 2021 on a post-covid pandemic film festival circuit. Nick Brokaw continues to direct projects via Napesni Motion pictures in addition to in a freelance capacity with a slate of films in development as of 2024.
