When A Million Little Things ended its five-season run on ABC earlier this year, it seemed like the door was closed on the series for good.
Now, though, there's a chance that more episodes of the beloved drama could be produced.
Series creator DJ Nash took to X this week to respond to a fan who asked if the show is over.
"It's over. For now," he responded.
In a word? Whoa.
It's not uncommon for TV series to stage comebacks after their series finales.
In this TV climate, shows return for additional seasons years after they wrap up.
Frasier recently returned, 19 years after its series finale, for example.
There's a lot of story to mine from a comeback of A Million Little Things, which gave This Is Us a run for its money as one of the most emotional shows on TV.
We're still trying to get over A Million Little Things...

Scott Bakula won’t be (quantum) leaping his way back onto NBC’s primetime lineup: The network has passed on Bakula’s ranch drama Unbroken, TVLine has learned.
The Yellowstone-esque drama was to have starred Bakula (NCIS: New Orleans, Quantum Leap) as retired rodeo champion and current rancher Ash Holleran in a story about “three dynastic ranch families on the central coast of California [that] make love and war in a passionate struggle to survive, ultimately setting the stage for a group of fiercely determined young women to win big for all at the National Championship of Rodeo,” per the official synopsis.

Best known for his acting roles in Shadow and Bone, The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, The Punisher and Westworld, Barnes is using the occasion of his 40th birthday to finally release the music that he’s talked about for years. It comes together on the five-song EP Songs For You.
To augment the sounds with video, he enlisted Westwold costar Evan Rachel Wood for his 11:11 video, and now has his The Punisher costar, Floriana Lima, in his latest, Rise Up, released today, with the official EP bowing tomorrow. The new video was directed by actress Georgia King (Dev and The New Normal).
Why now?
“I think the last 18 months has made us all question what’s important to us,” Barnes said. “What our priorities are, and what we’d like to spend our time...

Does A Million Little Things‘ Gary have a knack for picking girlfriends who can fill a very specific (and needed!) role in his friend group or what?
Maggie was a therapist who wound up helping Rome deal with his depression. And the ABC drama’s Season 3 premiere made a point of telling us that Darcy, aka the woman with whom Gary is currently smitten, is a physical therapist. She even helped the gang figure out how to install ramps at Eddie and Katherine’s house in order to help the recently injured Mr. Saville get in and out of the house in his wheelchair.

The world has changed a lot since the last time we watched A Million Little Things, but all the things we love about the series remain the same.
On A Million Little Things Season 2 Episode 19, a shocking cliffhanger left Eddie's life in peril after getting run down by a car.
Maggie was Oxford-bound after a fellowship came up, and Gary continued seeing Darcy.
Also, Rome and Gina lost their baby when Eve changed her mind about the adoption. We can expect all of this to get tackled during A Million Little Things Season 3.
Eddie's Fate Will Be Revealed
The good news is that the season premiere will pick up right where the finale left off. We saw from the trailer that Katherine is still on the phone and heard the commotion.

Grab your tissues, Millionaires.
The wait is almost over for the new season of the hit ABC drama, but since we've been on our best behavior, ABC released the very first look at the third season.
And yes, it's about Eddie.
At the end of A Million Little Things Season 2 Episode 19, Eddie was on the phone with Katherine. Eddie walked away from the bar after almost succumbing to his addiction. Before that moment, he spent time digging into traumatic events from his past.
Eddie was telling Katherine how much he loved her when a car ran into him.
It's a cliffhanger that rocked the fandom, and since, we've been clamoring to know if Eddie survived the accident and what he'll be life if he does.
In the clip, we relive the accident, and we see a worried Katherine frantically yelling Eddie's name, as the man in question lies on the...

ABC’s A Million Little Things has added You’re the Worst alum Chris Geere in a recurring role in its upcoming third season.
Geere is set to play Jamie, Maggie’s (Allison Miller) new Oxford roommate, our sister site Deadline reports. The character is described as “brash and funny,” with many personality tics. The roomies will form an unlikely duo who eventually become good friends as a result of their living situation. (To recap, Maggie in the Season 2 finale left for a teaching fellowship at the UK’s Oxford University.)

Dancing With the Stars aired on a different night for its second week of competition, but the result was the same: One unlucky couple got the boot, bidding farewell to the Season 29 ballroom and its phantom crowd noises.
In the meantime, host Tyra Banks pulled off yet another costume change (for reasons I’m not sure I understand), the judges introduced their first “8” of the season (and so soon!), and we learned that when these contestants aren’t performing, they’re doing a lot of texting from the rafters.

If you had to name one television network that has decent diversity, you might say the CW.
After all, how could it not be the CW? There is Riverdale, a show with an interracial lesbian relationship. Supergirl’s Alex Danvers had an incredible coming out storyline. The list goes on forever.
However, having diversity does not automatically make it good representation. Arguably, the CW has largely mishandled both LGBTQ+ and racial diversity on their shows.
A prime example is their teen drama, Riverdale, a show that seems to have a lot of representation on the surface. So, that should be okay, right?
Wrong, because their version of “representation” is just tokenism. They queer-baited the audience on Riverdale Season 1 Episode 1 when Betty and Veronica kissed during cheerleading tryouts.
Riverdale tried to play it off as “faux-lesbian kissing,” but this relationship quickly hooked viewers, especially since Betty and Veronica remained close on the following episodes.

Supergirl star Chyler Leigh has played Alex Danvers, adoptive sister to the Girl of Steel, on The CW show to acclaim from fans for the past five seasons. In particular, Alex’s coming out storyline in season 2 was widely praised for being sensitively handled by the writers and brilliantly performed by Leigh. The actress has now revealed just how personal this storyline was to her though, opening up about her own sexuality in the process for the first time in public.
Leigh came out in a lengthy, honest post shared to the website for Create Change, a LGBTQ+ organization that she co-founded, in which she speaks about how she learned to accept herself just as Alex was doing the same in the series.

Boy, this group has a lot of angst and chaos surrounding life's simple events.
A baby shower leading up to a birth, a vow renewal, a bon voyage, and a firm opening are all on the itinerary, and based on the events of A Million Little Things Season 2 Episode 18, a few of them are bound to collapse into themselves.
Color me dubious, but it doesn't look as if too many of the friends will make it out of A Million Little Things Season 2 content and unscathed.
Of course, Delilah probably will. Go figure. She had a heck of a season, so she'll probably end things on a positive note. She had a close call when Sophie overheard Shelly wanting all the juicy details about Delilah's Pyt (pretty young thing), Miles.
Maybe gossiping about her hot boy toy was something she and Maggie should've reserved for text messages or a later conversation.

For a family drama, A Million Little Things has quite a few stashes of unaccounted-for drugs, doesn’t it?
Another bit of illicit material shows up in Thursday’s episode, when Eddie finds a vial of cocaine in his home recording studio and immediately assumes that his visiting sister Lindsay isn’t as sober as she claims to be. On a related topic: What about the ownership of those loose joints Gary found in the bottom of Sophie’s sleeping bag a few weeks back? It seems like we get an answer, albeit a fleeting and context-free one, in this episode.

Over the weekend, a coalition of celebrities and PETA supporters — including actors Kate Mara, Mark Ruffalo, Maisie Williams, Hayden Panettiere, Edward Norton, and Adrian Grenier — signed onto a letter sent by the Earth Island Institute urging Russian President Vladimir Putin to ensure that the more than 80 whales currently held captive in Srednyaya Bay are released back into their ocean homes.
The letter thanks Putin for his previous efforts to help the whales — including blocking their export to marine mammal parks in other countries and prohibiting new capture permits for 2019 — and stresses the importance of providing the animals with larger, insulated enclosures until they can be rehabilitated and released back into their natural habitat.
“We commend the action you have taken so far to block the export of these amazing beings …. and fully support the Russian initiative to implement a permanent ban on capture of Russian orcas and beluga whales,” the letter states.

In a new video for PETA, Ohio native and Ohio State University (Osu) alumna Floriana Lima — known for her roles in Lethal Weapon, Supergirl, and Netflix’s The Punisher — pulls back the curtain on a laboratory practice called “the forced swim test,” which is used at Osu, the University of Cincinnati, and Case Western Reserve University.
Lima’s narration reveals that in the test — which was developed in the late 1970s and then called a “despair test” — mice, rats, or other small animals are placed in inescapable beakers filled with water. “Imagine being thrown into deep water,” she says. “You try to escape by climbing up the sides, but the walls of the tank are too slippery and steep. You swim frantically — struggling to keep your head above the water, to keep from drowning — but it’s exhausting, and you’re terrified.”
