Pedro Resto has directed and produced music videos for Shaggy, Todd Terry, Little Louie Vega and Latin music superstars LA India and The
Barrio Boyz. He also wrote, directed and produced the first short film
of an anthology series, 11 Conversations from The Lower Depths, Chapter
1: Cold Turkey, which was an official selection at HBO's New York
International Latino Film Festival. Pedro also executive produced the
NFL's first-ever national commercial targeting the Latino market, and
then went on to direct and produce its Latino campaign the following
year. In 2004, Pedro co-produced the multiple award-winning feature
film, CrossBronx. His directorial debut and college thesis film, Alma
Perdida (Lost Soul), a short film that addresses the reality of teen
drug addiction, is owned by over fifty university libraries throughout
the country. Pedro is a former film instructor, who was voted in 2002 a
top 5% educator in the country. In addition to co-writing and directing
I Dream of Mambo, Pedro is also works with at-risk children in Harlem
while researching his next screenplay, Baptism by Fire.
