Pickpockets to highwaymen, bank heists to drug smuggling, the readers' collective Robin Hood act has made a treasure chest

We were so disappointed that Zero Hour wasn’t given more time to gain an audience, but at least were pleased when ABC announced that the entire first season would air this summer, including the first three episodes that aired in the winter.
Happily, ABC has now paired those episodes with unaired episodes from another gone-too-soon show from earlier this season, 666 Park Avenue, according to Deadline. As you know from the SciFiMafia.com Spring and Summer Primetime TV Schedule and the SciFiMafia.com Calendar, Zero Hour premieres Saturday, June 15 at 8/7c. 666 Park Avenue will join Zero Hour on June 22, following it at 9/8c and continuing weekly for three more weeks.
Excellent news, I’m So looking forward to summer Saturdays, these were great shows; thanks to ABC for airing the rest of the episodes.

"666 Park Avenue" was one of the biggest disappointments of the last TV season - both for viewers story-wise and for ABC ratings-wise. But fans of the show will finally have some closure when the network begins airing the remaining four episodes on Saturday, June 22nd.
Per TVLine the ill-fated spooker, which ABC pulled from the schedule following its December 2, 2012 broadcast, will reward loyal viewers with a finale on July 13. Speaking with the site recently, series star Rachael Taylor gave the final episode two very enthusiastic thumbs up, saying, “I love the ending. Everything gets completely flipped on its head, and it was very fun for me to play. My character is very different in the last episode. I’m really looking forward to people seeing the end, because shit gets crazy.”
Synopsis:

Fans of ABC's cancelled series "666 Park Avenue" are going to now have a much longer wait before achieving any sort of closure as the network has suspended broadcasts of the show until the summer of 2013.
According to TVLine, instead of beginning to air the remaining episodes of "666" next month as originally announced, unaired installments won't arrive until the warmer months. Look for the exact dates soon.

Despite the show's recent cancellation, fans of "666 Park Avenue" should still receive some closure when the series ends its run on ABC as executive producers David Wilcox and Matt Miller promise they are "building to a powerful and surprising series finale."
Wilcox and Miller told TVLine they were given enough time to turn their swan song into a series finale, adding, "We hope fans of the show continue watching all the way to the end of Jane and Henry’s incredible journey to the dark side... where all your questions will be answered.”
As luck would have it, DVR data released last week showed the ratings for the thriller’s November 4 episode spiking a staggering 77 percent — raising hopes that ABC might un-ring the cancellation bell. The news prompted leading man Dave Annable to vent on Twitter that ABC “f—ed up” by axing the series. But it’s a decision...

The cast and crew of 666 Park Avenue have reacted to the show's cancellation online. The horror drama was axed by ABC this past weekend (November 17) alongside nuclear submarine thriller Last Resort. Dave Annable - who plays Henry Martin on the show - wrote on Twitter: "I want to thank all the 666 Park Avenue fans for all their support. Extremely sad that this project is over. Best cast and crew in the biz." With ABC expected to air all 13 ordered 666 episodes, Annable encouraged fans to "enjoy the ride", later adding: "My thoughts are with all the crew members of our show, Last Resort and [axed CBS sitcom] Partners that lost their jobs yesterday. So sad." Terry O'Quinn (Gavin Doran) joined Annable (more)...

Fans of 666 Park Avenue are understandably upset that the show has been cancelled. As you might imagine, the cast and crew weren't crazy about the news either.
Here's what some of them had to say, via Twitter. None of them mentioned One Million Moms.
Dave Annable (Henry Martin):
"I want to thank all the 666 Park Avenue fans for all their support. Extremely sad that this project is over. Best cast and crew in the biz."
And then, "ABC will be airing all 13 episodes so enjoy the ride. Still have 2 more episodes to shoot (weird) but if your in NY come by and say hi :)"
And finally, "My thoughts are with all the crew members of our show, #lastresort and #partners that lost their jobs yesterday. So sad."

Despite its People's Choice Awards 2013 nomination for "Favorite New TV Drama" and ABC recently ordering a few more scripts for the series, the network officially gave "666 Park Avenue" the axe today.
Per Deadline, the plan seems to be for the series’ original 13-episode order to play out the way things did last season for "Pan Am" with ABC not shutting the door on the show completely, technically keeping it in consideration for next season, although we have to think such a scenario is highly unlikely given the low ratings "666" has received.
In the meantime we'll keep our eyes on the situation and let you know if anything changes.

We've been sporadic at best with our coverage of ABC's "666 Park Avenue," mainly because we didn't think it'd last long given its low ratings. In any event, here's a look at the show's upcoming guest star Whoopi Goldberg in character from Episode 1.09, "Hypnos."
"666 Park Avenue" - Episode 1.09 - "Hypnos" (12/2/12 airdate):
Jane is sent back in time when she is hypnotized by Maris Elder (Whoopi Goldberg); Henry considers running for city council; Sasha's identity is revealed.
Executive producer David Wilcox told TV Guide, Elder is "a mysterious resident of the Drake who helps Jane unlock the secret of the building's true evil origins. Whoopi's an incredible actor so when we heard that she was a horror fan, we wrote the role for her."

The ABC Network is showing a tremendous amount of faith in its devilish new horror show "666 Park Avenue," as it has ordered two more scripts for the series despite it tanking like a lead balloon in the ratings.

Gavin (Terry O'Quinn) and Olivia Doran (Vanessa Williams) are the owners of the luxurious apartment building called the Drake. They are the perfect "beautiful people" well established in upper society. Olivia is a beautiful and elegant sophisticated lady. Gavin is a successful business man with an aura of power that flows from him like honey from an over ripe honeycomb. If you look into his eyes, for some reason, a chill runs down the spine. It is not just power one senses. There is something else that is dark and almost undetected. Something that lurks in the background just waiting for the right moment to slither it's fingers around your soul. Two young people from a small town answer the add for apartment manager's of the Drake. Henry Martin (Dave Annable) an attorney, works for the Mayor's office and Jane Van Veen (Rachael Taylor) is an aspiring architect with an interest in restoring old buildings.

"666 Park Avenue" (Sundays at 10 p.m. Et on ABC) debuted just last week, and viewers are already intrigued by the mystery behind an old New York City building and its residents.

Now that the "666 Park Avenue" pilot has aired, we're looking forward to really getting into the meat of what the heck is going on behind the walls of The Drake, and this sneak peek of Episode 1.02, "Murmuration," reveals a bit more via a clip in which Jane makes a rather disturbing discovery.

Horror is one of the most difficult genres to translate on television and the dam is about to burst with more on the way. We’ll welcome at least three new horror series this fall, including The Following, The Cult, and one that premiered on ABC’s new Sunday night, 666 Avenue starring Terry O’Quinn (Lost) and Vanessa Williams (Ugly Betty) as owners of the Drake apartment building–a building known for some historic tragedies and where devilish things tend to happen to many of its 388 tenants when their lease is up. The blueprints have been laid out for a hopeful, long run but the landscape of “horror” has long changed since the days of The Twilight Zone or Outer Limits when a clever concept or notion of something creepy could grow like a beanstalk in your imagination. Horror films are a dime a dozen on any given weekend outside of October.

I really wanted to like 666 Park Avenue.
I wanted to move in, kick my feet up and take up a very long residence inside an address that features such personal favorites as Terry O'Quinn, Vanessa Williams and Rachael Taylor.
But the pilot didn't exactly inspire me to buy an apartment there. I'll rent for a couple more weeks, but the series needs to seriously up the scary ante if it wants my down payment.
Let's start with O'Quinn's Gavin Doran. We can only assume at this point that he's The Devil, which isn't exactly a fresh concept on TV or on the big screen. Blame Reaper or blame The Devil's Advocate or, heck, blame Death on The Simpsons.
But the premise simply doesn't feel very original. Nor does it give O'Quinn a lot of material to mine. Any fan of Lost is quite familiar with the nuances and the depth of this incredible actor.

Most New Yorkers would sell their souls for a great apartment — especially if there’s always a parking place right in front of the building when you need it. But there’s more to the new supernatural ABC drama 666 Park Avenue. A quick recap: In the premiere, we learned that Jane Van Veen (Rachael Taylor) and Henry Martin (Dave Annable) are an unwed couple who came to New York City because Henry got a job working in the mayor’s city planning office and Jane was supposed to start at an architectural firm but the position fell through. It's probably not a coincidence that "666 Park Avenue," a new suspense drama premiering Sunday, Sept. 30, on ABC, opens in a glittering New York concert hall where an elegantly dressed audience listens to a classical performance. The orchestra's concertmaster is in the middle of negotiating a tricky violin passage when suddenly the strings of his instrument begin cutting into his fingers, as if dipped in acid. Gritting his teeth in pain and mounting terror, the musician manages to get through the passage as drops of blood fly onto the music pages. In the audience, Gavin Doran (Terry O'Quinn, "Lost") and his beautiful wife, Olivia (Vanessa Williams, "Desperate Housewives"), smile enigmatically.
Suffice it to say that violinist's night quickly goes from bad to the worst imaginable, but that sophisticated opening sets the tone for this series set in the Drake, a stately New York high-rise that seems to have a mind of its own.

Welcome to The Drake, aka 666 Park Avenue, where all of your dreams can come true... for a price. And for ABC, their dream is for viewers to catch on to this new glossy supernatural sudser, which is a very valid wish indeed since the show is extremely worthy for an extended stay on the Alphabet network's schedule.

Chicago – It is far from the new TV season’s most creative or engaging show (both “Last Resort” and “Vegas” are notably better) but there’s something about ABC’s “666 Park Avenue,” debuting tonight, that could make it the year’s most delightful guilty pleasure. And it’s such a perfect fit with the relocated “Revenge” and “Once Upon a Time.” Betrayal, fantasy, and the supernatural — “666 Park Avenue” could make for a great way to start your week.

Despite a cast that will manage a lot of draw all on its own, 666 Park Avenue (which might have managed a stronger title) has a tough road in front of it. That’s rather disappointing actually, because it has a lot of potential, and though it’s a little overblown in its opening effort, it’s quite a bit smarter than any summary (or trailer) can convey.
Not that this foray into the new “it” that is the creepy/fantasy genre is quite as clever as it imagines itself to be, but it delivers on intrigue in a way that is surprising, especially considering that it’s actually hard to list positives beyond as an absence of negatives. Bad as that may sound at first glance, it’s a product of the genre (especially in TV) more than a statement about the show itself.

When ABC announced a new horror series titled 666 Park Avenue (Sundays, 10 p.m.), I didn’t expect it to be a sinister cousin of Fantasy Island, but that’s the vibe I got from the pilot. Gavin Doran (Lost’s Terry O’Quinn) is the show’s Satanic Mr. Roark. He owns the title structure, the Drake (actually New York City’s Ansonia) along with his elegant wife Olivia (Vanessa Williams). He somehow bought the place in 1986 while serving as its manager. The Drake has doubled in value many times since then, but despite its immense apartments and full-service staff, it’s not the most inviting place to live. Between the endless Shining-like hallways, disappearing/reappearing apparitions, and unexplained dragon mosaics, it’s an immense haunted house founded on dark secrets. When Gavin hires a couple of Midwestern newcomers, Jane Van Veen (Rachael Taylor) and Henry Martin (Dave Annable), to manage the Drake,...

Do you dare dance with the devil? How much are you willing to pay to satisfy your deepest desires? What if the payment is not money but something that evil craves and can't wait to devour? Can a building have the power to grant your wishes? All will be revealed on Sunday, September 30, 2012 with the premier of ABC's 666 Park Avenue (TV). The owner of the building Gavin Doran is portrayed by Terry O'Quinn a former Lost (TV) cast member. He is the guy who has the power to grant your wishes - for a price, of course. His wife, Olivia, is portrayed by the beautiful Vanessa Williams, former Desperate Housewives (TV) star. She wraps her image in wealth, elegance and position in society as a cloak of armor around her. A sophisticated lady who has it all. Or does she? A young couple Jane Van Veen (Rachael Taylor) and Henry Martin...

As you'd expect from a show called "666 Park Avenue," ABC is pulling out all the stops for its new series' Halloween episode, including an homage to one of the original Masters of Horror, Alfred Hitchcock.
TV Guide provided the following details along with the image you see of "666" star Rachael Taylor dressed as Tippi Hedren's character from Hitchcock's The Birds:
"The Dorans [Terry O'Quinn and Vanessa Williams] host one of the most exclusive costume parties in the city," "666 Park Avenue" executive producer David Wilcox told TV Guide about the episode, scheduled to air October 28th. "What Jane comes to find out is something very dark occurred on Halloween night."
"This is the episode where everything shifts," adds Taylor. "Some pretty horrible things happen to my character. We're hitting the Rosemary's Baby territory where everyone's looking at Jane thinking she's crazy." And why would they assume that? "Jane believes the birds are real, but nobody else does.

A new recurring character has been added to the roster for ABC's "666 Park Avenue" as Nick Chinlund joins the series set at the Drake, a spooky Manhattan apartment building.

I'm rather fond of this new ABC preview for its Sunday night line-up: Once Upon a Time, Revenge and 666 Park Avenue. With Revenge moving to Sunday nights and 666 Park debuting this fall, it seems like ABC Sundays is the place to be.
Are you all caught up on what's in store for these shows? If not, here's some descriptions from the network itself.
Once Upon a Time: In the Season Two premiere episode, "Broken," reality and myth begin to merge as the fairytale characters awaken from Evil Queen Regina's broken curse and remember who they were. But to their dismay, they aren't transported back to fairytale land. To make matters worse, Rumplestiltskin - aka Mr. Gold - in an effort to gain the upper hand in his power struggle with Regina, has introduced magic into the town. In fairytales magic has its place, but in our world it can have unfathomable consequences.

Sexy, scary, and insanely addictive, 666 Park Avenue is the perfect hour of television to fill the gap left by Desperate Housewives. Based on the book series by Gabrielle Price, 666 Park Avenue is a mystery infused take on the tried and true 'Good vs Evil' trope, managing to elevate its interpretation to decadently mature levels. It would be hard to imagine 666 making it to television without the success of American Horror Story to illustrate how big the horror niche had become amongst TV viewers, but Park Avenue gives a take that is far more mainstream, and a bit more 'adult' in its narrative, both in terms of maturity and ... you know. It’s September, and you know what that means: It’s time to meet new shows in addition to reuniting with your returning favorites.
Each year, networks decide what shows to keep, move around and cancel, leaving open spots for a gaggle of new series. This month, many of the pilots for these shows will make their small screen debut. It may be overwhelming to be faced with 20 new shows this fall, so I’ll explain which programs did and didn’t make the cut for my DVR queue.
Here are my picks for the best new series of the fall TV season. (Note that this ranking did not take into account the mid-season premieres, even though there are some stand-out players in that arena.)

Look for some new blood to check in to ABC's "666 Park Avenue" as both Enrique Murciano ("Without a Trace", "CSI", "NCIS") and Wendy Moniz ("One Life to Live", "Guiding Light", "Damages") have landed multi-episode arcs on the new series.
Per TV Guide, Murciano will play Dr. Todd Scott, a handsome young surgeon living at The Drake. He unwittingly drives a wedge between Louise (Mercedes Masohn) and Brian (Robert Buckley) when he calls in a few prescriptions for and makes some neighborly house calls to a recovering Louise. Naturally, like the other residents of The Drake, Dr. Scott will be battling some hidden demons of his own. He'll first appear in the fifth episode.
Moniz will play Ingrid, the therapist of Drake resident Nona (Samantha Jade Logan). Despite Nona's resistance to dig deep in their sessions, Ingrid shows a genuine concern for her young patient and hopes that if Nona cannot trust her,...

666 Park Avenue is my personal favorite new show of the season (though I haven’t seen Arrow yet) and I hope you’ll love it too. This poster gives an interesting twist to the campaign – get it? twist? – but should really be seen primarily as a metaphor. Don’t worry, the show won’t require you to take notes and study, it’s just pretty and creepily entertaining. Like the poster!
Presumably we’re getting this new poster because it includes the just-released premiere date, which we told you about earlier. Here’s your friendly reminder-as-to-what-it’s-about trailer and series summary:

With horror being the hottest trend on TV, ABC brought "666 Park Avenue" to the San Diego Comic-Con, where we had a chance to watch the pilot and panel and then chat with the cast and creators of the show. Color us definitely intrigued by what we've seen so far!

Horror on TV has never been hotter, and everyone is scrambling to find the next big scary thing. Writer David Wilcox, who's worked on "Law & Order," ABC's "Life on Mars," and Fox's "Fringe," recently talked about how latest project, "666 Park Avenue", relates to the book and lots more.
According to Variety, when Wilcox met with Alloy Entertainment execs about adapting the book series 666 Park Avenue into a primetime series for ABC, he was encouraged to use the tomes as a jumping off point, not a blueprint. "They were very comfortable in departing from the book. I read the book and there are some interesting ideas in there, but I was encouraged to tell a very different story," Wilcox says of the series, which landed on ABC's fall schedule in the 10:00 Pm Sunday timeslot.
He retained the title and some character names but not much else. "The book is about witches on Park Avenue,...

Terry O'Quinn as Gavin Doran in "666 Park Avenue" (ABC/Andrew Eccles)
ABC‘s slate of new shows for fall has a strange flavor to it, and it’s going to be a bumpy ride. The network has about as many new shows as returning ones (if you count all the midseasons), and a good percentage of the returning offerings are a year old or less, making this look a bit like a rebuilding year.
Not only is it a rebuilding year, but it’s the year of bringing back every actor and actress who ever had a decent run on a show before. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a network’s new season slate that was so crammed with people returning from something else. If you can’t make it good, I suppose, make sure viewers recognize the faces.
It’s tricky to get a solid feel...
