Nathaniel Levisay is an American composer who began his career performing throughout the Midwestern United States. He relocated to Los Angeles in 1999, at 20 years old, where he secured his first film scoring assignment that same year with director, Maguy Cohen. Collaborating with Cohen led to music production work at Warner Brothers under Eric Stonerook, and mentoring from industry professionals orchestrator Robert Elhai, composer Michael Kamen, and composer Shirley Walker. Levisay's creative range extends through diverse projects, including the 30-minute original score for the electronic art installation, "Cosmos", a Cello Concerto for Andrew Shulman, principal cellist of the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, and the creation of multimedia experiences such as "What Is Real? The Velveteen Rabbit." His film scores, notably for "Dawning" and "Convergence," received acclaim, and he remains an active member of ASCAP and The Recording Academy.
