Stephen Colbert and his “Late Show” audience spent part of Thursday loudly celebrating special counsel Robert Mueller’s obstruction of justice investigation into President Donald Trump. The CBS studio audience burst into big cheers when the 11:35 p.m. host recapped the events of the prior evening during his monologue. “This is a huge moment. This is a historic moment. The President of the United States is under criminal investigation,” Colbert said. “When the movie comes out, this will definitely be in it, and I will definitely be played by Hugh Jackman. I’ll still have the claws.” Also Read: Colbert Slaps Jason Miller Around.

Samantha Bee tore Jeff Sessions to shreds on Wednesday’s “Full Frontal” over the Attorney General’s recent testimony in front of the Senate Intelligence Committee. “Compared to Comey Day, Sessions-palooza was a southern-fried snooze fest,” Bee quipped, saying Sessions skated by on “folksy bulls — and selective amnesia.” “No wonder the collusion kids didn’t tell you they were dealing with Russia: you’re too slow to keep up,” Bee added of the Alabaman, whom she labeled “the Doj’s garden gnome.” Also Read: Colbert Slaps Jason Miller Around for Calling Kamala Harris 'Hysterical' (Video) Earlier that day, Sessions faced...

Miley Cyrus and Jimmy Fallon had themselves a “Party in the … Subway” Wednesday. The two went undercover to do a little New York City busking beneath Radio City Music Hall. With Miley’s distinct voice belting out her godmother Dolly Parton’s “Jolene,” their cowboy hats and wigs fooled literally nobody. We suppose the sketch wasn’t a total failure, as their fame drew quite an excitable crowd. Plus, we all got a little “Party in the USA” out of it — and that’s just a good pop song. Stephen Colbert kicked off Wednesday’s “Late Show” with a truly touching moment of prayer for Congressman Steve Scalise, who was shot yesterday at a Republican baseball practice just outside of Washington, D.C. Then the CBS host got right down to making the funnies. Colbert’s main target was Attorney General Jeff Sessions, who lip-grinned his way through a recent Senate Intelligence Committee hearing about alleged White House ties to the Russian state, which many believe led to election hacking last November, when Donald Trump was selected to lead our country. Former Trump advisor Jason Miller got his share of Colbert’s ire,...

CNN political analyst Kirsten Powers ripped Trump surrogate Jason Miller on Tuesday night for calling Sen. Kamala Harris “hysterical,” implying that the comment was sexist. “It’s just women that are usually called hysterical,” said Powers. “How was Sen. Harris hysterical? I don’t really understand that. I mean, she was asking some tough questions,” Powers responded after Miller made a comment that Harris was “hysterical” during Jeff Session’s testimony before the Senate Intelligence Committee on Tuesday. “From my perspective — my, I would say, objective perspective — I mean it was … it didn’t seem like there was any effort to try to get.

Gore, one of the nation’s most vocal advocates for combatting climate change, also met earlier in the day with one of Trump’s closest advisers: his daughter Ivanka Trump.

One indie project that we've been keeping close tabs on is Fetch, director C.M. Downs' upcoming feature that is currently shooting in Kansas, and today he sent over two new stills and an update on what's been happening since we last heard from him.
First up is a shot of Downs with actor Jason C. Miller (who portrays the character Clyde Arbuckle). Here's how Downs describes it, "I'm walking him through his final death sequence... I'm a big fan of keeping those eyes open at death. I know it's hard to tell, but the dirt floor he is laying on is actually frozen, which is why the blood is pooling around his neck and not seeping into the ground." In case you're wondering how the ground got to be frozen, Downs explains, "These guys shot through the coldest temps in 20 years of Kansas history. When I say cold, I mean Cold!
