Fancy a throwback Survival Horror title set in 1980’s Australia? That’s what you’ll be getting with Affordable Cat’s Loggerhead. Described as a “classic Survival Horror Experience featuring a retro stylistic aesthetic”, Loggerhead is currently aiming for a 2023 release on Steam.
As one would expect for a game touting classic Survival Horror mechanics, Loggerhead features fixed camera angles, tank controls and classic puzzle solving. The game takes place in 1985, where the Australian Government has shut down the Boggarogga Creek campsite in the wake of a series of brutal murders. Despite the warnings (and as horror trope goes), you still have people visiting the campsite despite the closure. Two of those people are Daryl and Tracey, who have been invited for a weekend camping trip with some friends. As you might expect, the duo soon find themselves stranded and trapped in a night of horrors.

Missy Peregrym is part of a popular Andy-and-Sam on-screen couple now, but before that, she was part of ... an Andi-and-Sam.
Now in Season 4 as police officer Andy McNally on ABC's "Rookie Blue," the actress previously played Andi Prendergast -- love object of co-worker Sam Oliver (Bret Harrison), who was caught in a literal deal with the devil -- on "Reaper," The CW horror-comedy series whose two seasons start weekly repeats Tuesday (June 4) on FearNet.
Peregrym had just finished her stint as Candice Wilmer on NBC's "Heroes" when she was enlisted to play Andi. Nikki Reed ("Twilight") originally had been cast in the part, but Peregrym made it her own, frequently displaying the sort of tomboyish spunk that her current Andy also has become known for.
Given the strange things that often went on around her, thanks to a very stylish Satan (Ray Wise) who delighted in making Sam's life truly a living hell,...

With Smash done, it’s time for the backwards glances. First EW talks with showrunner Josh Safran who discusses the plan for season three, which would have followed the creation of a movie musical with Patrick (Luke MacFarlane) producing.
Meanwhile, composer Marc Shaiman comments on the showtunes he helped compose for the drama. Even he doesn’t sound happy, “the greatest frustration Scott (Whitman) & I felt were how the actual moments in Marilyn Monroe’s life that led us to write our songs were almost never explained in the episodes, which was a shame for it would have enriched the storylines of Tom & Julia and made many of our choices clearer and maybe made our songs more meaningful.”
In happier news, Comedy Central has ordered a second season of sketch comedy series Inside Amy Schumer. I’ve mentioned before, I’m enjoying Schumer’s show (except for the time...

Seven News is under growing pressure over the question of whether it intruded into the privacy of a mother whose daughter had died in a quad bike accident.
A family friend has published a detailed post questioning the network’s version of events in a move that makes it increasingly likely that the complaint may be among the first tests of the Australian Communications and Media Authority’s new privacy guidelines.
As Mumbrella reported yesterday, Linda Goldspink-Lord claimed that Seven News invaded her privacy through use of helicopter shots of her with her daughter’s body.
She accused the network of causing “pain and harassment” and claimed that a journalist was on private property. Her comments on the Seven News Facebook page were deleted by the network.
Yesterday Seven apologised for the deletion with Chris Willis, director of news at Seven News Sydney saying it had been done in error.

Chicago – Catherine Hardwicke, who only directed the first “Twilight” and none of the following franchise films because she felt rushed and financially constrained, has cleverly figured out how to make another “Twilight” under the guise of the name “Red Riding Hood”.
Rating: 1.5/5.0
Even “A”-lister Gary Oldman – who has curiously accepted the role of god’s good werewolf slayer – deserves better than to be grouped with this film’s teen-targeted talent. While he’s certainly the film’s highest-caliber artist, Oldman’s presence is nonetheless disappointing and still only scratches the surface of saving this film flop.
In a time when vampires and their foes are all the rage, Hardwicke’s modern-day “Red Riding Hood” transforms the Big Bad Wolf into a werewolf. (The earliest, 17-century version of the beloved story used an actual wolf whereas later versions have used ogres or a “bzou,” which we know as a werewolf.

The CW’s Smallville is nearing the conclusion of its Superman origin series. The show’s ten year run will air its series finale with a two-hour finale episode on May 13, 2011. Executive producers Brian Peterson and Kelly Souders have teased several bits of intel for these final episodes.
Peterson did confirm that Clark will come up against Zod (Callum Blue), Granny Goodness (Christine Willes) and Darkseid:
“[Clark faces] some baddies from his past. Potentially a lot of characters come back.”
The showrunners have also confirmed that these episodes will indeed see “Clark eventually turning into Superman.” Though they still would not say if he will finally fly or not, Souders did add a little something for the fanboys and girls:
“[Lois is] kind of all over him as far as how he’s dressing, what his hair looks like… but for a very good reason. If you’re a hardcore Superman fan, you’ll enjoy the ride.

Now halfway through its 10th and final season, The CW’s Smallville covered a lot of ground prior to the holiday break -– including but not limited to Clark (played by Tom Welling) getting glimpses of his super future self, the introduction of Darkseid and his malevolent minions, the “outing” of Oliver Queen, and a certain marriage proposal. Still, there is much to be done over this next salvo of episodes kicking off Friday at 8/7c, if the series is to end its run the way we all suspect it will.

This Friday’s episode of Smallville on The CW features Teri Hatcher (Desperate Housewives, Coraline) as Lois Lane’s mother, Ella Lane. In “Abandoned”, Lois finds videotapes that her mother left for her before she died.

First Look At Lindsay Hartley As Mad Harriet In Smallville
In the episode, titled “Abandoned,” Mad Harriet is sent by Granny Goodness — Christine Willes, last seen in Season Nine's “Salvation” — to defeat Clark. The episode, airing November 12, also marks the debut of Teri Hatcher as Lois Lane’s mother Ella. Created by Jack Kirby, the insane Mad Harriet debuted in January 1972′s Mister Miracle #6 as member of the Female Furies, a group of warriors trained on Apokolips to serve its ruler Darkseid. She’s only the latest denizen of Apokolips to appear in Smallville‘s 10th and final season; we’ve already seen Granny Goodness, Desaad (Steve Byers), Gordon Godfrey (Michael Daingerfield) and Darkseid himself.
JoBeth Williams' memories of her role on Somerset are a bit hazy

HollywoodNews.com: Lady Gaga already has some of the biggest hits of the past year and so it would only make sense for three of them to be included in the new DJ Hero 2 video game that is slated to hit stores on October 19.
