Many Chicago P.D. fans will love the spoilers that actor Jason Beghe has revealed.
The latest dramatic episode of the show flipped a switch in Hank Voight, especially with the similarities that the current case has to when his son died.
After trying his best to care for Noah — the victim of a serial killer who had escaped at first — Voight has become slightly untethered.
Intelligence is also tasked with a difficult case – a primary reason Voight brought in an extra detective to help with the investigation.
Are the Chicago P.D. producers dropping hints about who might replace Detective Hailey Upton?
Tracy Spiridakos — the actress who has played Upton for years — is departing the One Chicago drama this season.
Jason Beghe speaks about a return of ‘the old Voight’ on Chicago P.D.

It’s great news for One Chicago fans.
NBC has ordered new Chicago Med, Chicago Fire, and Chicago P.D. seasons.
The Wednesday night shows continue to perform well in the ratings, leading to an easy renewal decision by the network.
Getting renewal notices in March also allows the writers some breathing room to write good scripts before the summer hiatus.
It also opens the door for some more One Chicago cliffhangers. Chicago Fire is one show that loves to end each season with fans gasping for breath.
Yes, that’s a pun, as several Chicago Fire finales have also left their characters gasping for breath in fires, underwater, etc.
More episodes are coming from One Chicago
The 2024-2025 television season will now feature Chicago Med Season 10, Chicago Fire Season 13, and Chicago P.D. Season 12.
Each show has received a full-season order, meaning way more episodes than the shortened seasons from this winter and spring.

Stephen King made it very well known that he wasn’t a fan of Stanley Kubrick’s 1980 adaptation of his book The Shining, so seventeen years later he took the chance to bring the story to the screen himself. Copies are available for purchase at This Link.
The mini-series version of The Shining has the following synopsis: Jack Torrance and his family move into the sprawling, vacant Overlook Hotel to get away from it all. ‘Chicago Med’: First Look at Sophia Ali as ‘Impulsive’ New Doc Causing Headaches for Archer (Photos)
Chicago Med might have said goodbye to a couple of original cast members last season (Brian Tee and Nick Gehlfuss), but the Ed is getting help from some new blood this year. The Wilds‘ Sophia Ali has joined the cast in the recurring role of Dr. Zola Ahmad, TV Insider has learned. In order to help her patients, Zola often acts impulsively in ways the hospital doesn’t approve of. She will be introduced in the second episode of the season, “This Town Ain’t Big Enough for Both of Us,” airing January 24. Check out photos of her above and below. George Burns Jr/NBC Executive producers Diane Frolov and Andrew Schneider previously teased this new resident. “She’s someone who will cause a lot of headaches for the Chief of the Ed, Archer [Steven Weber],” Schneider shared. “She will overstep. She’s impulsive.” That’s not all that Archer will be dealing with.

But it wouldn’t be a One Chicago show without an episode where something threatened to take away that kidney.
Actor Steven Weber joined the Chicago Med cast in 2021, bringing energy on the opposite end of the spectrum from other Ed doctors.
Archer came over from the military and had a friendship with Dr. Ethan Choi (Brian Tee).
The first Chicago Med Season 9 episode brought everyone up to speed on Archer’s predicament, introduced a new cast member, and revealed Dr. Daniel Charles has ties to the new guy.

When Chicago Med returns for Season 9, some things have changed at the hospital — and in its staff’s personal lives. One relationship is still going strong, while another isn’t doing well. Charles (Oliver Platt) has history with the new Ed attending, Ripley (Luke Mitchell), while it’s the past that might be keeping Archer (Steven Weber) from accepting the organ he needs. And the hospital is under new management, but that’s not necessarily a good thing. Executive producers Diane Frolov and Andy Schneider preview the drama to come. You’re bringing in this new Ed attending, Ripley, and he has a history with Charles. What can you preview about that history and their dynamic now? Diane Frolov: It goes back to when Ripley was an adolescent. He is carrying some resentment about what happened between him and Charles. Andy Schneider: The whole thing has forced Charles to look...

It’s been a long wait for NBC’s Chicago Med to return with its 9th Season but with the premiere less than a week away (January 17), Deadline has some juicy nuggets to tease about the show’s return.
In the Season 8 finale, the medical drama said goodbye to Day 1-er Dr. Will Halstead (Nick Gehlfuss) who handed in his resignation after finding himself more and more unsettled with the new changes implemented at Gaffney Chicago Medical Center following Jack Dayton’s purchase of the hospital. His main concern was Dayton’s insistence on using the O.R. 2.0. even after a machine error caused the death of a patient and could’ve also claimed Dayton’s life.
Dayton’s live surgery for investors cost him nearly all his money after showing the high-tech machine wasn’t ready for showtime. So to stay afloat financially, Dayton sells the hospital.

There's never a dull moment on Chicago Med, but the NBC drama will open its doors to someone with ties to one of the show's longest-serving cast members.
TVLine reports that the series is eyeing "an early thirtysomething male Emergency Department doctor."
The mystery individual will have a connection with Dr. Charles (played by Oliver Platt).
Initially, the new character will be a recurring player, but as we've seen in the past, people tend to get upgraded to series regular status if they resonate with viewers.

Ask any Trekkie, and they'll happily describe the arc of the three "Star Trek" shows that came to ascend in the 1990s. In the cases of "Star Trek: The Next Generation," "Star Trek: Deep Space Nine" and "Star Trek: Voyager," the shows started on their rockiest, least interesting seasons as they found their footing. All three shows showed growth during their second seasons but were still staggering to their feet. For the third, fourth, and fifth seasons, the shows had hit their stride, turning out the most interesting stories and exploring exciting new arcs. The sixth and seventh seasons, meanwhile, showed signs of fatigue, and the final episodes of each show proved to be a little rocky.
As of this writing, no "Star Trek" show has lasted as long as those three. "Star Trek: Discovery" will end after its fifth season next year, and no one was more sharply aware...

When it was announced in 1978 that legendary director Stanley Kubrick was adapting Stephen King’s third novel, The Shining, for the big screen, interest in the project immediately skyrocketed. The book, in which an alcoholic writer and his family (including his psychically gifted son), are tormented by supernatural forces in a snowbound hotel was considered a horror masterpiece almost as soon as it was published. King’s career was taking off like a rocket. The success of The Shining and his two previous novels, Carrie and ‘Salem’s Lot (as well as the hit movie version of Carrie), had crowned the young author the “king of horror.” To have Kubrick, one of the most renowned filmmakers in the world, tackle his latest book–and with Jack Nicholson, one of Hollywood’s most popular actors, set to star–was extraordinary.

“Will & Grace” star Eric McCormack appeared on Friday’s “Tonight Show” with Jimmy Fallon to promote his Broadway show, new British farce “The Cottage.” McCormack also talked about his podcast, “Just Jack & Will,” but he had to dance around getting too specific about the show he co-hosts with “Will & Grace” co-star Sean Hayes.
While unable to specifically talk about the show that the podcast talks about — “Will & Grace” — due to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA actors strike, he was able to discuss the podcast itself.
“It’s about a show that I’m not going to talk about, out of respect for the strike we’re on, but they’ve allowed us to talk about the podcast,” McCormack clarified. “And it’s so much fun to be back with my old buddy Sean.”
McCormack explained that Hayes had pitched him doing a podcast about the show during lunch together.
