A Discovery of Witches (2018)
It's fine I guess
The show is pretty formulaic and hasn't explored much of the lore in 2 seasons unfortunately, especially the daemons. I'm mostly going to keep watching in the hopes that I get to see Peter Knox get murdered. That guy is either a great actor or a horrible person.
Fate: The Winx Saga (2021)
The world is great
Similar to the new Sabrina show, I loved the world it was set in and all of the side characters are so interesting and enjoyable but the main character is just so annoying. I enjoyed it but she was frustrating. The actress is fine, the way they wrote her character isn't.
Happiest Season (2020)
Disappointing
Kristen did great as Abby but the Harper character was so frustrating. She's a bad person.
Abby should've ended up with Riley.
Bill & Ted Face the Music (2020)
Most underwhelming
I wasn't expecting much but I was expecting more than this.
Dave Grohl was RIGHT THERE!
Why are the daughters carbon copies of their dads instead of being similar but based in their own actual generation?
The millennials weep.
Aladdin (2019)
Lifeless
So boring and lifeless. Jasmine looks like Sarah Michelle Gellar with a tan. They're all so wooden.
And let's be honest, Jafar is way too good looking.
Gets a 5 for Will's performance - he did the best he could with what he was given.
Swamp Thing (2019)
Didn't deserve to be canned - really promising
This was really interesting and well done. Some of the best jump scares I have seen in years. The monster was great. The imagery and the swamp were great. I honestly rate this better than most DC shows. The ending is haphazard but they got axed so I didn't expect much tie up.
The Good Doctor (2017)
Great show
It is a testament to Freddie Highmore that I started watching this directly after bingeing Bates Motel and had no issues adapting.
The show has made me laugh and made me cry. I've not been bored yet. They've not been overtly offensive or insensitive that I have picked up on. What more could you want?
Charmed (2018)
It could be great but they're just trying too hard
Really, my headline says it all.
The backgrounds of the characters could work out to be interesting and they could do a lot more with the magic effects than the original so that could be awesome to see but right now, they're focusing on the wrong things.
Yes, be current and with the times but don't shove it down people's throats like it's buzzword day at the office. It loses all meaning and makes people roll their eyes instead of think and digest.
I really don't like the use of the angry lesbian/feminist trope, especially when you're trying to push a feminist show. Counterproductive writing.
