Jatuh Cinta Seperti di Film-Film (2023)
A whole new experience
It is always refreshing to watch a brilliant movie. "Jatuh Cinta Seperti di Film-Film" is one of those moving and slow-paced movies. I expected it to be flat and to have no plot at all as it was extremely slow for me. There were also layers to catch up on, which could get confusing at first. However, the more I paid attention to the dialogues the more I got invested into it. Since this is a black and white movie, it is safe to say that all our attention went to the dialogues.
The dialogues and the acting were extraordinary. Hana conveyed a crystal clear emotion about her grief, while Bagus was evidently ignoring the fact that Hana was supposedly not ready for a relationship. These details were what made me stay and sit to finish the movie. Thankfully, the story got better as Bagus and Hana finally got closure about their relationship.
Overall, I would recommend this movie to my relatives, as it offered laughable jokes, roller coaster of emotions, and a whole lot of other flavors. Great job!
Good Grief (2023)
It got progressively worse
I had high hopes for watching this movie, especially when Dan Levy directed it. This is because I watched Schitt's Creek, and it was one of the most comedic shows I have ever seen. I just thought that he would have done the same for this movie. Actually, the first half of the movie had me believe that this would be amazing, yet it proved me wrong in the second half. I thought that this movie would have had me crying, but it just did not. I was totally distracted by the confusing story of the main characters. They all have their own backgrounds that relate to their friendship, but something just was not right. I believe that it was the overlapping sadness that was not explored enough-only by communicating with each other without really getting to the point.
I understood and deeply felt what Marc went through and what kind of grief he had. I was thinking that this movie was only about the lead's loss, but it was also about his friendship. The friendship part was what I got lost in. I felt like they had been friends for so long, and yet they still could not seem to figure out their stuff together. One is too selfish, while one wants to keep things together, and the other just seems to not care. This whole friendship part, for me, was not explained enough. I need more of a conclusion that this movie did not provide. On the bright side, I love that Dan conveyed good laughs throughout the movie and successfully portrayed the grievance that some people may have, as well as the friendship that is so much related to people's lives nowadays.
Overall, I loved this movie, even if it was not that enjoyable. I am waiting for another Dan's creation, and I truly wish that whatever he is planning to do, another great movie is in the making.
Fairy Tail (2009)
Words can't describe how good this show is!
This show has everything. Great plot, fantastic fights, brilliant characters and heroes, and funny humors. You might say this one is repetitive, but they always got something out of the battle they've won. I cried so many times, since it could be so sad and joyful at the same time. This is one of the best Animes I've watched. Totally recommend this one! Watch it, I assure you, you would not regret it!
Artemis Fowl (2020)
This movie just won The Cringiest Movie ever
Sorry for the bad review, but this movie really deserved them all. For me, who doesnt read the book, I was really impressed at how awful it was, the whole plot was a disaster, the script was so cringy, and that ending?! Even if it has a sequel, I would not watch it. But anyway, the CGI was also bad enough.
