27 May 2024
Plot and Authenticity: The series grapples with the challenge of balancing fact and fiction. While it's difficult to ascertain the absolute truth behind Paco Stanley's death, the creators have skillfully woven a captivating storyline. By introducing fictional characters and events, they add layers of intrigue and suspense. Viewers are left questioning what's real and what's embellished, which adds to the show's allure.

Performances: The standout feature of "Quien lo mató" lies in its exceptional performances. The entire cast delivers stellar acting, bringing their characters to life. Whether portraying real-life figures or fictional counterparts, the actors immerse themselves fully. The emotional depth and authenticity they bring to the screen elevate the viewing experience.

Characterization: The decision to introduce fictional characters alongside real ones is a double-edged sword. On one hand, it allows for creative liberties and unexpected plot twists. On the other, it risks blurring the line between reality and imagination. However, the character development remains consistent, and each actor shines in their role.

Entertainment Value: Despite the somber subject matter-the tragic loss of a beloved entertainer-the series manages to be entertaining. The pacing keeps viewers engaged, and the suspense builds steadily. The exploration of Paco Stanley's life, career, and relationships adds depth, making it more than just a crime drama.

Emotional Impact: For those who remember Paco Stanley's impact on Mexican television, watching "Quien lo mató" can be emotionally challenging. It revisits a painful chapter in the country's entertainment history, evoking nostalgia and sadness. The show serves as a poignant reminder of the fragility of fame and the human condition.

Conclusion: "Quien lo mató" successfully blends fact and fiction, paying homage to Paco Stanley while weaving an intriguing narrative. It's a series that invites viewers to question, empathize, and reflect. Whether you're a fan of true crime, drama, or character-driven storytelling, this show is worth a watch.

Note: As with any dramatization of real events, viewers should approach "Quien lo mató" with an open mind and appreciate it as a work of fiction inspired by true events.

"El Extraño Retorno de Diana Salazar" - A Timeless Classic with Stellar Performances
15 May 2024
:"El Extraño Retorno de Diana Salazar " is an unforgettable telenovela that masterfully blends elements of the supernatural with historical intrigue. Lucía Méndez shines as Diana Salazar, a woman cursed with telekinetic powers and haunted by vivid dreams of 16th-century colonial Mexico. Her character's journey of self-discovery and uncovering past lives is both captivating and emotionally charged.

Alma Muriel delivers a standout performance as the villainous Dr. Irene del Conde, whose past life rivalry with Diana adds layers of complexity and tension to the narrative. Jorge Martínez, as the dashing Dr. Omar Santelmo, complements the cast perfectly, bringing warmth and depth to his role.

The storyline's ingenious premise-where dreams are revealed to be memories of a past life-keeps viewers on the edge of their seats. The show's ability to intertwine historical elements with personal drama makes it a classic in the world of telenovelas.

Overall, "El Extraño Retorno de Diana Salazar" is a timeless gem that showcases the exceptional talents of its cast, particularly the queen of telenovelas, Lucía Méndez. It's a must-watch for any fan of the genre.

Bad Actor (2023)
8/10
a film with a message of a not very pleasant reality, a little slow, but with a great outcome that will make you think a lot!!
18 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
The movie "A Bad Actor" seems to address delicate themes such as gender abuse and violence; however, the way it presents these themes is problematic. The portrayal of an actor abusing an actress in a scene with sexual content raises concerns regarding ethics and boundaries in the film industry. Moreover, by depicting women advocating for women's rights as extremely violent and unrestricted against men, there is a risk of perpetuating harmful stereotypes and oversimplifying the complexities of gender equality struggles.

The extreme violence depicted in the movie, both in the abuse scene and in the actions of women advocating for women's rights, raises questions about the responsible representation of sensitive topics. Portraying women as the most aggressive segment of society in defense of women can reinforce misconceptions about the fight for gender equality and justice.

Instead of addressing these issues in a reflective and constructive manner, the film seems to suggest a disproportionate and dangerous response to gender violence. This representation not only oversimplifies the complex problems associated with gender abuse but could also undermine real efforts to promote equality and eradicate violence against women. Ultimately, it is crucial that cinematic works addressing sensitive topics such as gender abuse do so in an ethical, informed, and respectful manner to positively contribute to dialogue and social change.

Argentine style!!
4 December 2023
"El encargado" is a captivating Argentine series that deserves recognition for its originality, talented cast, and natural performances. As a Mexican, it saddens me to see how Spain and Argentina have seemingly surpassed Mexico in creating compelling and innovative storytelling.

Guillermo Francella delivers a remarkable performance in his role, further solidifying his status as a seasoned actor. The way he immerses himself in the character is truly commendable, allowing the audience to connect with the story on a deeper level.

One of the standout aspects of "El encargado" is its ability to present fresh narratives that resonate with viewers. Unlike the traditional telenovelas and outdated themes Mexico tends to produce, this series offers a breath of fresh air. It tackles relevant and contemporary subjects, making it more relatable to today's youth.

Furthermore, the natural and authentic performances from the entire cast make "El encargado" a joy to watch. The actors effortlessly bring their characters to life, creating a believable and immersive experience. This authenticity greatly contributes to the series' success and sets it apart from productions that rely on over-the-top melodrama.

While it's disheartening to witness the apparent gap between Mexican productions and those from other countries, "El encargado" serves as a reminder that exceptional storytelling and talented actors can be found beyond our borders. It's a testament to the creative prowess of Argentina and the ability to captivate audiences with original and thought-provoking narratives.

In conclusion, "El encargado" is a gem that showcases the brilliance of the Argentine television industry. It serves as a poignant reminder that Mexico has the potential to explore new horizons and break free from the confines of traditional telenovelas. Let's hope this series inspires Mexican creators to step outside their comfort zone and embrace the power of innovative storytelling and natural performances.

The actors' ability to embody the essence of their characters and convey their emotions with such conviction is a testament to their talent and the casting director's keen eye for selecting the right individuals.

Furthermore, the series successfully captures the essence of Gloria Trevi's musical legacy. The incorporation of her iconic songs into the storyline adds an extra layer of depth and emotional resonance. The music becomes a character in itself, bringing further life to the narrative and creating a profound connection between the viewers and the story being told.

Beyond the exceptional writing, production, and casting, "Gloria TREVI, ellas soy yo" explores important themes such as resilience, empowerment, and the pursuit of one's dreams. It serves as a reminder of the strength of the human spirit and the transformative power of art. The series inspires viewers to confront their own challenges and embrace their true selves, just as Gloria Trevi did.

Great series!!!
12 June 2023
"Isla Brava" is a fascinating television series that combines stunning visuals with excellent storytelling, making it one of the best Mexican series to come out in recent times. The series follows the story of a resort owner, played brilliantly by Flavio Medina, and his wife, played by Fernanda Castillo, as they navigate the challenges of running a business and dealing with personal struggles.

One of the standout features of the series is the direction by Pitipol Ybarra, whose masterful use of camera angles and pacing adds depth and tension to the story. The series is filmed in Tenerife, Canary Islands, and Spain, and the locations are used to great effect in creating a sense of place and atmosphere.

The performances of the actors are also exceptional, with Flavio Medina delivering a nuanced portrayal of the resort owner who struggles to balance his business with his personal life. Montecristo (2023– )

Just Excelent!!!
15 April 2023
I completely agree with the original comment regarding the series being an excellent adaptation of "The Count of Monte Cristo". The production value was truly exceptional, and the performances given by the actors were top-notch. William Levy's portrayal of the main character was particularly noteworthy - it was arguably his best performance to date. However, it would be remiss not to mention the talented Esmeralda Pimentel, who delivered a fantastic performance as well.

The series adaptation stayed true to the essence of the classic novel, while also managing to bring a fresh perspective to the story. It was gripping and kept me on the edge of my seat from beginning to end. I found the storyline to be well-crafted, and the pacing was just right - it never felt too slow or too rushed.

Regarding the negative comments, I couldn't agree more with the original poster's statement. It's unfortunate that some people feel the need to leave negative comments just for the sake of causing trouble. I would highly recommend giving this series a chance, as it's truly entertaining and well worth the watch. In short, the "Count of Monte Cristo" adaptation is a superb production that deserves all the accolades it can get.

Great job of Derbez!!!!
30 August 2013
I just came back from seeing the movie of Eugenio Derbez" Instructions not Included ", and the truth is, it's great!! Excellent performance from Derbez and the little girl. It's one of those movies that you go out happy to have seen! Congratulations to Derbez, great job! Currently the Mexican films are giving very pleasant surprises for the audience, which in many times have not believed in the talent and scope of this new generation of filmmakers, this movie is going to win many awards and you will see that. At first I thought I would see a movie more than the classic that the mother will take away the kids from the father but no, this story is amazing. Actions and measures are great! I love this movie!!!!

Excellent but they show a terrible Mexico,
16 October 2010
I think that is an excellent movie, the acting and the direction are great, but the only part that I hate about the movie was the way that the director and the writer shows Mexico, with skinny cows and ugly dogs and a horrible town that almost there are anymore, thats not Mexico, we have cosmopolitan cities like Monterrey, Guadalajara, DF, and we know that we have a lot of problems with Narco and violence, but that is not a good image of Mexico in the world in the way that they make this dark humor comedy. I like the director is like the 2 part of "Herodes Law" that was excellent and it was with Damian Alcazar, one of my favorite actors, Elizabeth Cervantes I haven't see her before , is a surprise she is very good actress and very sexy about the rest of the cast there just great!!!!
