Nailed It! Mexico (2019–2021)
3/10
Pure cringe
7 December 2021
The original Nailed It is a cringy as well but somehow they manage to pull it through, I guess it's Nicole's charisma and the fact that it has the feeling of an original wacky American reality show.

This one though has a feeling of forcing everyone to behave like americans and it's not funny at all.

Just Skip This
11 October 2021
The movie started kinda strong, and I liked the idea, a slasher film in which the killer exposes your dirty secrets and chases you wearing a 3d printed mask of it's victims..

I decided to give it a chance, but it was not worth my time.. Poor acting, not scary, not fun, not even thrilling.. Just bland teen drama..

What starts as mediocre turns into a creative yet dumb movie
22 September 2021
I am the kinda guy that avoids watching trailers and just check the IMDB synopsis and ratings before watching a movie.

So yesterday when I saw this movie I walked into the theater knowing just two things: 1) It was directed by James Wan 2) Reviews I checked stated that it is not scary and not so good, yet it is a fun/thrilling movie.

I have to say that eventhough I love this type of movies, this one is not thrilling nor fun. The lead is bland and unlikeable, the acting is bad and the first two acts are generic, predictable and mediocre.

Then, the final act starts, and eventhough is fast paced and a bit creative, the non sense of the big reveal/plot twist didn't allow me to enjoy it!

I give this a 3 because it kept me guessing who was responsible behind those murders and I didn't see it coming. Honestly this could have worked better as a comedy horror.

I Don't understand the hype
8 September 2018
I had really high expectations for this one after Civil War. Watched the midnight premier and disliked it. (Weak plot, mediocre acting, few memorable scenes).

A week later I was surprised when this movie appeared as one of Marvel's top ten movies. For me is as weak as the first Thor installments.

The Nun (2018)
4/10
Waste of time and money!
8 September 2018
As a background, Ioved The Conjuring, liked The Conjuring 2, found Anabelle mediocre (but still managed to keep up the tension) and I think Anabelle creation was better than the first one.

With the Nun I had big expectations and I have to say, that 2 minute scene in the Conjuring feat The Nun is waaay scarier than the whole movie. A non sense plot, terrible acting and no tension just jump "scares". As I read in a previous review, "the last third act feels like walking through a haunted house in an amusement park" could not agree more.

Scream Queens (2015–2016)

What the hell did I just watch...
27 October 2015
I was really looking forward to seeing this series, I enjoyed the first two seasons of Glee and I am a big AHS fan. However, Scream Queens is neither funny nor thrilling.

I just watched the pilot episode (first hour), and let's start with what I liked:

-Some of the casting: Emma Roberts as a spoiled brat, and Jamie Lee Curtis, as the strong feminist dean (or whatever she is). -Gory dead scenes: Some of them are pretty shocking. - Quality of the cinematography and editing: It has the AHS style with a Glee type of narrative.

What I didn't liked:

-The plot: There were many scenes where I actually said: "WHO THE HELL DOES THAT!". Here are some examples: The maid and the fry station and how they got away with it, Ariana Grande's encounter with the red devil, and the "waterfalls" scene at the opening.

  • Character Development: They have the spoiled brat, which is one of the main characters that is really unlikable, not because she is mean, but because she is stupid. In one of the scenes, she appears as the strong girl who does not get intimidated by anyone, next scene, she is begging an obvious dork to date her, next scene she starts to scream in a coffee shop like a 10-year old. I mean, when I saw the trailer I was hoping a female lead like Sarah Michelle Gellar in Cruel Intentions, or Rachel McAdams in Mean Girls, not this spoiled rich girl.

When you mix bad characters with an even worst script. You just have to give away enough thrills to keep you interested; however, this does not happen. You know there is a killer on the loose, but no one in the series gives a damn about it. They just focus on... something else.

I understand that a comedy horror series should not be taken seriously, but you just can't produce nonsense and hope people to buy it.

Predictable!
22 October 2015
I read some mixed reviews about this movie before watching it; however, I still had high expectations. I saw it yesterday, and the only thing I can say is: "Predictable". Don't get me wrong, the movie is fun to watch, it has a cool scenery and some gory scenes that will make you cringe.

The biggest problem is that, in the first 15 minutes of the movie, you already know what will happen (similar to a chick flick). So basically, the only thrilling thing about it is how the main character will figure everything out, (something that you already did), and how the extremely fake ghosts will jump-scare you.

The actors: Tom Hiddlestone, OK. Jessica Chastian, good as usual. Mia Wasikowska; personally, I don't like her "Alice in Wonderland" type of acting, she tries to look strong, but she is mostly dull.

In general, I give this movie a 6, it is not bad, but it's just not that good.
