Yes, good acting, but still not a fan.

I love a good history movie with complexities, but this isn't it. After hearing all great things about this movie, I was pretty excited to see it. I think the editing and producing is to blame here. It felt disjointed and somewhat sloppy to me. I understand the movie has a lot of story to cram in, and it doesn't feel slow by any means, but it still couldn't keep my attention even at a fast pace. Another reason why I typically don't trust Oscar movies. Acting is great, but that can't help how it was put together in the end. The story could've been told in a much better way than this. Not sure Nolan would be making these kind of movies. He should stick to his typical "brand".

Too dang long
20 February 2023
2 hours and almost 20 minutes is WAYYY TOO LONG for this kind of movie! Even with fun, over the top gore scenes the crummy story and boring plot don't make up for it. They got way too big for their ego, and drug it on more than it needed to be. They should stay in their lane. People enjoyed the first one because it Art was fun and the gore was good. No one watched it for the plot or acting so they should stick to the recipe that worked. Very disappointing after listening to all the hype ahead of it's release about the fans reactions and such. He's such a fun character with a bit of humor. This just didn't do it for us.

What a waste
2 February 2023
This movie is a waste of good actors completely! Wayy too little emotion, and wayyy too much rape, and sexualization to spend 2 hours and 20 minutes uncomfortably. Other reviewers are right... very cringeworthy. I can't even tell you the story as it's buried underneath the "your body belongs to the state" context, very conveniently. Hard to watch at best.

The author was male and you can almost tell from the very beginning. Needs more time spent on plot and character development. Also, the story develops very slowly. It doesn't grab you enough to keep you watching for the full 2 and a half hours.

No fear; too woke
18 June 2022
The original had such a great story, score, and it was very progressive for it's time! This one, as others have said, allows the "wokeness" to overpower the actual movie. It had great potential with picking back up where the original left off. Disappointed.

Great watch for fun!

I'm not sure why some rated this so low. It's got a great build with character stories, and it leaves you in suspense. It's not necessarily high action, but definitely worth watching. Looking forward to the next season!

Only great after you watch the full trilogy!

Number 1 was ok, but number 2 and 3 really brought the story together! This became so much fun to watch!
