Rehana Maryam Noor (2021)
Accept it as an ongoing reality rather than a story
You can understand the meaning if you accept the movie- Rehana Maryam Noor as an ongoing reality without marking it as a story.
The movie begins with an incident of sexual harassment of a medical student, where the antagonist realizes the incident and wants to protest. Then, she has to face various real life equations while protesting the incident.
The camera work and the framing of each scene is quite good.
Networker Baire (2021)
Highly overrated
It has been made targeting the mass audience. The story begins with a good vibe but there is no solid plot at the end.
It cannot be considered as a masterpiece or a quality content.
Koshtoneer (2021)
A decent family drama
Koshtoneer is a patriarchal family story, where family domination flourishes very well. Attempts have been made to bring people of different opinions under one roof and highlight their contrast.
The main objective of the story is to give a social message.
Kingdom of Clay Subjects (2016)
An excellent piece of work
The film shows the hard reality of life through the eyes of an eleven years old boy named jamal. After the sudden marriage of Jamal's childhood friend lakshmi, he began to realize the difficult side of life. When he wants to build his own future, an unpublished past comes out and turns everything upside down.
This film portrays the issues like child marriage, dowry, class discrimination and social evil practices.
I really like the cinematography and the experimental color composition. The natural beauty of rural bangla is successfully portrayed in this film. And not to mention the background music, I was completely lost in scene of jamal and lakshmi running in the field.
Under Construction (2015)
Name defines all
Everything is under construction.
Roya is a theatre actress, who believes in her own freedom, not interested in motherhood and traditional life. She plays a selfless character like Nandini in Rakta Karabi drama. After playing this character for a long time, it seems to her that this character isn't real enough. So, she tries to find Nandini in reality to reconstruct the character.
Great acting performance from Shahana goswami as roya and especially Rikina nandini shimu as moyna.
Live from Dhaka (2016)
Urban life and some of it's inevitable real events
A much better quality film considering the budget (8 Lakh taka only). The movie didn't get a hall for the exhibition after its release.
A story about a man who lost the battle of life and trying to escape from the city. Urban life and some of it's inevitable real events, where complexity in life continues to grow. Hats off to Mostafa monwar for his vivacious acting.
Occasionally there is slight mismatch in voice scale, though it's a not big deal considering the budget. Much enjoyable story with a good ending. Storytelling is too good.
