The Black Book (2021)
Not very good
This title showcases a number of stories as part of the black book (which isn't black by the way). The stories themselves as well as the main one, are not very original. It begins with a pun about acting, which is necessary if you want to view this title, and the rest is all really down hill from there. I would recommend to a fan of low-budget films, family members of the cast, and something to play in a party you wish people to leave from.
Bingo Hell (2021)
Worse than terrible
There was nothing in this film that-to me-was funny, interesting, good, or in any way possible to follow. From the pink hues throughout the film, the heavy-accent-Spanish cursing without any real cause/purpose other than to possibly enhance a scene that would otherwise be totally dry and without intrinsic comedic value, to the lack of demonstrable purpose in the story I saw everything as really dull. I enjoy most stuff that comes from Blumhouse, but a few recent additions to their portfolio have me on the fence about the quality of products in their lineup and upcoming titles.
Hubie Halloween (2020)
Another Adam Sandler flick
I love his films and though this one is not a triple A hollywood production, I enjoyed every single member of the cast and their roles. It even had a message! Keep it up!
Onward (2020)
Amazing adventure
This film captured my heart by allowing to immerse myself in a world my brain always years for, a world of magic, flying creatures, and other fantasy things. The take on present and past living together along with a story about family, truly made this a tremendous epic tale for me.
A Fall from Grace (2020)
Great story but lacking in so many areas
No spoilers follow.
The film begins in a scene that immediately sets the tone for the type of acting henceforth for the less-known cast in the film.
The way the story was delivered leaves a sour taste of novella that is somewhat obsolete.
The recording looks and feels not as a film/movie but more of an episode in this week's top reality television show.
There was a scene where one of the extras kept looking straight at the camera waiting for the end queue, it was impossible to miss.
The story flowed well and yet the ending had too much in it, like an overflow of material that needed to be said in one-minute or less for the thriller portion of the story to actually make sense.
Should you watch this? If you like the well-known actresses in it, like a good novella, or are a fan of Tyler Perry then by all means. Otherwise, there's much better stuff out there.
