Choose Love (II) (2023)

Lighthearted and good fun

An interesting concept - having some say in the story narrative. You could rewatch the movie for an entirely different outcome.

The main character has 3 potential suitors and you can choose what to do at key moments....for example to meet with them or not. The 3 suitors seem to offer either commitment, risk, or revisiting 1st love. I imagine there is a choice to end up alone too. Sometimes the choices you make lead to unexpected outcomes, which is similar to real life I guess.

Quirky, fun concept.

One negative is that you have to be quick with your choices, otherwise it will choose for you.

Black Summer (2019–2021)

Refreshing and realistic Zombie Apocalypse

Really engaging right from the start. Story is more about a handful of survivors in the early days of an outbreak. More realistic characters e.g. Not everyone is a sharp shooter like in TWD. Characters do panic and make mistakes- which is very amusing to watch at times.

The real threat seems to come from other people!

The Dark Tower (2017)

Decent film (not read the book). Don't be put off by the overly negative reviews!

Transported to a different world, great actors and an interesting storyline. I found it a similar to Divergent and the Maze runner series.

Just Before I Go (2014)

Really enjoyable heartwarming film

Refreshing to see Sean William Scott play a different character to the norm. Serious topics covered in a light hearted way - even funny at times. Good cast, good film - definitely better than expected.
