Triangle of Sadness (2022)
Vomit cruise
The movie starts super slow with a long scene of young male models being evaluated - eventually leading to a group of irrelevant people stuck on a boring cruise. At this point, the movie looks promising - there's hope that eventually something interesting will happen.
And there will be action. Most of it consists of people vomiting in different positions, angles and locations around the ship. There's probably a story all this finesse but unfortunately it gets stained by all the food and vomit that the cruise passengers and crew will be sitting in.
The toilet starts to spill its contents, you can truly see the genius of the director and the writer - or maybe they just ran out of ideas at this point?
Murder Mystery (2019)
Such a great movie!
I've never liked Adam Sandler. But I can tolerate him in this movie, which is a lovely combination of 007, Agatha Christie and good old movies. And I just love watching Jennifer Aniston.
The Angry Birds Movie 2 (2019)
Hilarious!
I laughed from start all the way to the last scene. The movie delivers a constant stream of fun and laughter. The characters are great, nicely animated with tons of detail. Some of the scenes targeted for the adult viewers are just super hilarious. Go watch it, you won't regret it.
Hunter Killer (2018)
Lots of military tech
The plot is mostly bogus but what would you expect from a nice action movie. There's lot's of military technology, submarines, ships, planes, weapons, missiles, you name it. Some of the submarine manoeuvres were bit over the top, but the film was enjoyable and entertaining to watch. I liked it!
Journal 64 (2018)
No, I didn't read the book
But I liked the movie a lot. Great filmography, interesting characters, great actors. What else do you want from a crime movie?
Swingers (2018)
A funny moment
There's exactly one funny moment in the movie. The rest of the movie is painful to watch. Instead of creating a comedy about swingers the writer and director chose to create a movie about troubled people - and somehow slap the swinger-theme on to of that. Greed has it's limits. The movie is just crap. And it has nothing to do with swingers.
Bonjour Anne (2016)
Just lovely
Watching the move is like taking a road trip through France and visiting some of the most joyful locations, eating the tastiest French food and sipping the loveliest wines while enjoying the great actors going through an interesting dialogue and chemistry.
Make sure you'll prepare to watch this with a bottle of a great French wine and some of their nicest cheeses - you'll love it.
