Very unique spin on developing the plot via disjointed flashbacks, elevating a chaotic teen prom night into a crazy night from hell. Watched because Keanu and Loughlin.before we knew them so a fun throwback film worth the chuckles. Fun farce cant relate to the hate, enjoyed and would watch again w more popcorn. Pretty much on a mental scale to american pie, low budget at that, the setup is great, then the u winding takes some risky turns but hey its a fun movie, dont take it all so seriously. In real life things would never unfold like this, but thats what makes it a funny movie. Watched for free on TubiTV.

Too graphic violence. Spoils the magic

Pointless overkill in violence for what could easily have remained a family film without it. Insulting trope of women being emotional and needing aloof men to calm them down. Death of child/sibling trivialized in the face of entire theme of family sticking together. The majesty and beauty of the film is wasted on graphic violence and threats and mutilation and graphic kills. Glad they fired Disney CEO over this film.
Lazy filmmaking if all you can devise is graphic killing. Imagine Harry Potter with machine guns, or any other fantasy film. Even star wars is visually striking without resorting to hardcore violence. He's trashed this sequel. Hope he won't make more.

Michael Douglas and Diane Keaton, directed by Rob Reiner (who I think is also a character in the film) great story arc that makes you sad to leave all the lovely people you met in the movie when it ends.
A rich film for what seems surprisingly short - well written and edited with a lovable cast - if this were "Groundhog Day" you'd never want to leave.
Douglas plays the jerk very well of course and Keatons humanity and charm carry the day. Does she really sing that beautifully?
All the same, in the very least you'll certainly envy that car.
A real surprise find for us, never heard of this film and rarely write film reviews this one gets one from me and a handful of stars and thumbs up from all.

Light romantic farce

Indie rom com with likable characters and fresh storyline. Welcome break from the over the top hollywood cliche. Man begrudgingly accepts a blind date, only to end up meeting with the wrong girl. Not the best casting for male lead, but he carries the part, and film is put together well with lively dialog and no dull spots. Wish more films like this had been made w this cast/crew.
