Ape vs Mecha Ape (2023)
Ape vs Mecha Ape is yet another masterpiece from the Global Asylum team.
Ape vs Mecha Ape is yet another masterpiece from the Global Asylum team. The military makes a giant killer "Mecha" Ape in order to defend against a giant REAL ape but things go wrong and the russinas (I think) hack the robo-ape and turn it against them. So, they have to release the real giant ape to fight against their own giant robot ape. This has all the standard cheesy Asylum tropes. Their visual effects have been getting better over the last few years, but it varies from shot to shot. Tom Arnold is the only "star" I recognized in this one. I give this a solid 6 stars. It is no Sharknado, but it's pretty good for a movie in this genre.
My Transparent Life (2022)
I hope their film helps other families with transgender members to learn how to support them correctly.
Watching this movie was very confronting for me because I have a brother who is transgender and while he was going through his childhood and expressing that he was a boy even though to me he was my sister I don't think that I was as supportive as I could have been. I used to tell him that he was crazy and to just relax and accept that he was a girl but now I see that I could have been much more supportive an I feel very lucky that he did not commit suicide or abandoned his family because we were basically rejecting him. The second the movie finished I called my brother and apologise to him for not being supportive and accepting him and now I want to do everything I can to rebuild his trust and let him know how much I love him. I hope their film helps other families with transgender members to learn how to support them correctly.
Captors (2020)
Plenty of gore and violence to bombard eyes
I love this movie! I loved everything about it. Not only does Captors create an extremely tense atmosphere from start to end, it has plenty of gore and violence to bombard your eyes, not to mention the plot twists. I LOVE that ending too. With an unknown actress she did an incredible job acting in these types of situations. This film was, in my opinion, exciting, thrilling, and an overall entertaining film to watch. It delivered the necessary chills, to keep its audiences fully awake, and engaged. This was an enormous achievement for both Yulia Klass and James Cullen Bressack. The two have created a well-deserved horror/thriller, without the necessary cliches.
One and a Half Knot (2020)
The film focuses on the reality of society
The film focuses on the reality of society, its ethics, and the norms. This analysis relies on some of these meanings but focuses mainly on its use as a word and truth, essence. It is also worthwhile considering the semantic richness of the 'Dedh'- an important aspect of Dedh Gaanth. We can understand it as the word 'one and a half (as in literary or academic texts), or in the broader sense of words that anticipate other words, more than one but not enough to complete two. Both are present in this film and play an inherently functional role.
