The Other Zoey (2023)
Still waiting for the classic romcom to return
Each time a new romcom comes out, I find myself expecting classic 90's or 00's quality and am consistently disappointed. This film in my opinion isn't even a RomCom.
Everything was so predictable and wasted what could have been some very interesting storylines. Instead of giving the audience some surprises, it followed every chiche in the book. The ending especially was cheesy and disappointing.
I found the casting an interesting choice as both look alike and would almost make a great sibling pairing, something I found difficult to ignore during the romantic scenes. The family dynamic was great and held alot of on screen chemistry but I didn't feel that translated to the romanic relationship.
The love triangle storyline was quite a waste of time and very anti climatic.
The best thing about the movie was Josephine Langford. She has such star quality and is extremely beautiful.

After Everything (2023)
Good overall
Good to see Hardin suffering and trying to move on from Tessa. Hero put in a really good performance.
Disliked that they made Natalie such a key part of the story. It felt like she was added in the absence of Josephine Langford but it was unnecessary and Hardin should have gone on the journey with aomeone from the series we are familiar with. Mimi Keene and Hero didn't have anywhere near as much chemistry as we usually see with Josephine so that special feeling wasn't there this time.
The sex scene added in felt totally unnecessary. Fans of the film didn't need a sex scene for the sake of it.
This England (2022)
Disappointing title
The title of this film is ignorant considering this is a story about the United Kingdom government and not England. It makes it feel inaccurate and misrepresented.
It's watchable with decent acting. The story flowed well and kept the viewer engaged. There were some powerful scenes. Overall, I would have enjoyed this series more if had been accurately represented and inclusive of all the countries affected by the story. This is important when taking on a factual story and I feel like, without it, what is the point in watching. You may as well watch a tv drama for entertainment. Shame as it could have been great.
After Ever Happy (2022)
The best
This movie was phenomenal. The acting from every cast member was first class, especially the two leads. It was so authentic to the book and heartbreaking. My favourite of the series, Castille Landon did a fantastic job.
First Love (2022)
Jim saves the film
I love the character of Jim so much. Hero Fiennes Tiffin did a great portrayal of his character. I loved the dynamic between him and his parents on screen. The let down of the movie for me was the lack of chemistry between the two romantic leads. There was no spark or and Ann's character was pretty unlikeable and treated Jim poorly. It made you not want to see them end up together which impacted the enjoyment of the movie.
After We Fell (2021)
Amazing!
This is an exact vision of the book and I loved every second. Definitely my favourite of the series. You can't beat the chemistry between the two lead actors.
Edit: so confused to see people criticising the plot/story. This is a book adaption and follows the book! It's made for fans and that's why it was created. I love the story this one tells. It feels like real life and that's why I love it.
After We Collided (2020)
Brilliant
I loved this movie. I love how they deal with actual issues and things that can go wrong in a young relationship.
Chemistry between the two lead characters is incredible and that's what makes the movie great for me.
After (2019)
Real
I really liked this movie.
It's real, raw and focuses on issues that people have. It reminded me of my teenage experience in a way.
Running Scared (2006)
Woah
This wouldn't normally be my kind of movie but I thought it was great. Paul Walker and Vera Farmiga gave great, convincing performances. Quite a dark movie but that's what made it interesting!
The Lazarus Project (2008)
Really interesting and different
This film really gripped me. It was very different to anything else I've seen. A lot of beautiful settings also. Paul Walker is great in it!
Brick Mansions (2014)
Great movie
I really enjoyed this film. I loved the action and overall storyline. The ending was great!
Hours (2013)
My favourite film
I love this movie. Being a big Paul Walker fan, this is my favourite performance of his. The story is amazing and I was gripped the whole time. Also love Sherlock the dog :)
